• RotationAsync with each row in List view

  Hi, From this answer in stack overflow and the sample project referred there, i got the Idea of RotationAsync, where a progress bar work fine with device rotation. But my problem is, i have a listview with each row there is progress bar. And is there any way to retain the progress while rotation for reach row. Me creating onclicklistener object for the button click listener in getview function of my adapter class. Where its onClick function call the AsyncTask class Since each getview (row) is calling different instant of my AsyncTask, i cannot make it static of single ton class. Any Idea on this. Thanks.

  My situation is like this. Company has many users and users may belongs to many companies. And current implementation is something like below. class Company has_many :employments has_many :users, :through = :employments end class Employment belongs_to :company belongs_to :user end class User has_many :employments has_many :companies, :through = :employments #This doesn't looks correct end User has many companies doesn't looks logically meaningful.It must be some thing like belongs_to_many companies. Do I need to use has_and_belongs_to_many? But that also will gives the same meaning. Can some one please suggest the right way for representing these relationships?

• Can I use memcpy in C++ to copy classes that have no pointers or virtual functions

  Say I have a class, something like the following; class MyClass { public: MyClass(); int a,b,c; double x,y,z; }; #define PageSize 1000000 MyClass Array1[PageSize],Array2[PageSize]; If my class has not pointers or virtual methods, is it safe to use the following? memcpy(Array1,Array2,PageSize*sizeof(MyClass)); The reason I ask, is that I'm dealing with very large collections of paged data, as decribed here, where performance is critical, and memcpy offers significant performance advantages over iterative assignment. I suspect it should be ok, as the 'this' pointer is an implicit parameter rather than anything stored, but are there any other hidden nasties I should be aware of?

• When is it safe to do a Response.Redirect() without throwing an exception?

  I have an intermediary class extending System.Web.UI.Page for all of my pages that require authentication. The class mostly does custom authentication handling. When a user with insufficient access attempts to visit a page, I try to redirect the user back to the login page while preventing any further page events from being executed (ie. Page_load). The first solution that came to mind was the default implementation of Response.Redirect. Of course the downside to this is the possibility of ThreadAbortExceptions being thrown.   Using Play! framework and it's JPASupport class I have run into a problem with a legacy database. I have the following class: @Entity @Table(name="product_catalog") public class ProductCatalog extends JPASupport { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) public Integer product_catalog; @OneToOne @JoinColumn(name="upper_catalog") public ProductCatalog upper_catalog; public String name; } Some product catalogs don't have an upper catalog, and this is referenced as 0 in a legacy database. If I supply the upper_catalog as NULL, then expectedly JPA inserts a NULL value to that database column. How could I force the null values to be 0 when writing to the database and the other way around when reading from the database?

• Where is BuildConfig.DEBUG?

  My project doesn't seem to be aware of this new constant that's apparently auto-generated in Android Tools r17 builds: "Added a feature that allows you to run some code only in debug mode. Builds now generate a class called BuildConfig containing a DEBUG constant that is automatically set according to your build type. You can check the (BuildConfig.DEBUG) constant in your code to run debug-only functions such as outputting debug logs." I've confirmed that this class is not being auto-generated anywhere in my project by the new tools. I deleted all project outputs (including all gen folders) and rebuilt, and only R.java classes are being generated. Why are the tools not generating the BuildConfig class? It may be relevant that I'm using IntelliJ.

I guess ancestor() filter does not help because those entities are modified in memory. Should I not to iterate reference property in transaction function and always provide them as function parameters like def bulk_update_album_group(updated,deleted): ??? Is there any good coding pattern for this situation?

  I have one function on my code. say its xyz(). This function is being called from different files of my project. Is there any way than I can get from where the function is being called. I want below infromation: File name from where its called. Line number of that file. if call is from inside the function then that function name. Class name Class method name. I know about use of magic constants like FILE and all that. but i don't want to pass all that in function call. like below: xyz('msg',__FILE__,__CLASS__); is there any way that i have to pass just my error related data only. and it will find the above details from where the function is called. let me know if anything is not clear.

ArrayList<Class> typeList; and I have some input values; ArrayList<Object> values; How to cast some value to some type if I know which type from the typeList is the values; typeList.get(i).cast(values.get(i)); <- this is not working??? Actualy I generate dynamic form in runtime. With Java reflection I get parameterTypes from methods from some class, I generate form with input fields and then i want to cast the text from the input fields to specific types from the paramterTypes that I got with Java reflection from some class.

• Does Qt support virtual pure slots ?

  Hi, My GUI project in Qt has a lot of "configuration pages" classes which all inherit directly from QWidget. Recently, I realized that all these classes share 2 commons slots (loadSettings() and saveSettings()). Regarding this, I have two questions: Does it make sense to write a intermediate base abstract class (lets name it BaseConfigurationPage) with these two slots as virtual pure methods ? (Every possible configuration page will always have these two methods, so I would say "yes") Before I do the heavy change in my code (if I have to) : does Qt support virtual pure slots ? Is there anything I should be aware of ? • Segfault when calling a method c++

  I am fairly new to c++ and I am a bit stumped by this problem. I am trying to assign a variable from a call to a method in another class but it always segfaults. My code compiles with no warnings and I have checked that all variables are correct in gdb but the function call itself seems to cause a segfault.   Is this the proper way to use a static const variable? In my top level class (Shape) #ifndef SHAPE_H #define SHAPE_H class Shape { public: static const double pi; private: double originX; double originY; }; const double Shape::pi = 3.14159265; #endif And then later in a class that extends Shape, I use Shape::pi. I get a linker error. I moved the const double Shape::pi = 3.14... to the Shape.cpp file and my program then compiles. Why does that happen? thanks.

  I have a object which it was initialized before in a base class. In inherited class, I use this object and assign values on multi-properties to it. Example: this.Chart.X = 10; this.Chart.Y = 10; this.Chart.Width = 20; this.Chart.Height = 20; this.Chart.Background = Color.Red; However, I must repeat "this.Chart" many times. How to avoid this.   Hello, I created java enterprise application and it consists of ejb module and web application. I have plain old xml file in source packages folder in package "common" in my ejb module. I want to pass this file path in File() constructor for one class in ejb module. How do i do it? If i pass any of the below it doesn't work :- new File("abc.xml"); //this take file from glassfish/domains/domain1 :( new File("./abc.xml"); I don't want to pass hardcode path like /home/administrator/appname/module/etc.. I want the path relative from my ejb module. Please help me. I've tried all things. Actually when i created a class in same folder and then try classname.getResource("abc.xml").getPath() it works fine. But what if i don't have any class in that folder. Waiting for your replies

When I view the website in browser, I get the server not found error. I debugged the EfDbContext class and found that the Database.Connection.ConnectionString is set to \SqlExpress with database as EfDbContext. Why is that?

  So I'm debugging an app in preperation for its app so release, and I enabled a universal breakpoint for "All Exceptions".
