• ASP.NET MVC 2 relative paths for scripts and styles

  Hi, having this really silly problem in ASP.NET MVC 2 with .NET 4. I need to test other pages using localhost, but sometimes I need to show the page to some else on another computer and so need to path out to my machine. In doing so, I need to use relative paths for my and tags. When I test through VS, I use relative path: <script src="../../Scripts/somejavascript.js"></script> <link href="../../Styles/somestyle.css" /> However, when I publish to local IIS, I'm having all sorts of problems beacuse the Scripts and Styles folder are at the same directory level, but it seems like I have to path out differently. For example, in the scenario above the styles will be picked up but the JavaScript won't be. Any ideas on how best to path out, relatively using MVC 2?

  Dear All: Sorry this is probably a very simple question. I am using gradle http://www.gradle.org/ for my development environment. It works quite well! I have written a simple unit test that uses HtmlUnit and my own package. For my own package, I use java.util.Logger. HtmlUnit seems to use commons logging: http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/logging.html I would like to see console output of my logging messages from java.util.Logger However, it seems that even messages at the info level are not displayed in my Unit Test Results GUI (System.err link), although the HtmlUnit messages are all displayed. • Slow Wireless Reconnect After Suspend - Broadcom 4312 with STA drivers

  I am using 10.10 with STA drivers, I reinstalled ubuntu because the b43 drivers were giving me a huge hassle along with some weird kernel issues. My wireless speed is fine, everything works well, except upon restart of computer and after taking the computer out of suspend. It takes about 30-45 seconds for the wireless to reconnect, and I think it is a driver issue (I clicked on the network manager at the top and for about 30 seconds there are no wireless networks listed.) I tried this advice already: http://lilserenity.wordpress.com/2007/10/31/fix-ubuntu-dropping-wireless-on-suspendhibernate-resume/ which basically says to change this: STOP_SERVICES="" to STOP_SERVICES="networking" in the file /etc/default/acpi-support This did not help anything. Something to note is that the issue does not occur when I am logging back in after already logging in once and logging out.

  Is it possible to retrieve the complete message source (similar tu Unix Mbox format) using Zend_Mail_Storage_Pop3 from the Zend Framework? I'm using the following code to retrieve messages: $mail = new Zend_Mail_Storage_Pop3(array('host' => 'localhost', 'user' => 'test', 'password' => 'test')); echo $mail->countMessages() . " messages found\n"; foreach ($mail as $message) { echo "Mail from '{$message->from}': {$message->subject}\n"; } It looks like the $mail object contains the message already split up into fields (ie. headers, contents, etc.). Is there any way to retrieve the original message source? I would like to be able to store it so if I need to parse the message again using a different tool, I will have the necessary information.

• Visual Studio's CSS Intellisense - Absolute paths & MasterPage files

  Hi there. I've noticed that to get CSS-Intellisense working in VS, the paths have to be relative - Is this the case? However, it seems <link href="/resources/test.css" [...] /> is far more practical than <link href="resources/test.css" [...] /> I'm including the CSS in the master page, and don't see much good in including it as a content block, just to get the relative paths correct for each directory depth. I've had a quick try with inline code resolving the path, but no dice there either (for Intellisense). I feel I'm missing something fairly simple - What's the correct approach here to have CSS Intellisense work across the pages in the app during dev, and render fine in any deployed state? Cheers. • How to config multiple monitor with optimus?

  I have an Acer Aspire 8951G running 12.04 Pangolin with bumblebee working beautifully. My problem is that when I connect either the VGA port or the HDMI to my projector there is no way I can see to properly set up the resolutions or colours. The default basic display driver sees the projector correctly, but messes up colours and resolutions (on hdmi) and resolutions on VGA. (Its a 1280 X 720 projector) Am I missing some sort of Xorg configuration? nvidia-xconfig does not seem to exist and running optirun nvidia-settings -c :8 opens the settings, but of course only for the one display. I just want a way to set a default config for my projector via VGA or preferably HDMI. Any help would be wonderful.

• How can I set a second screen (DISPLAY=:0.1) as the default gnome display?

  Due to various reasons, I have my main monitor set as the secondary display in xorg.conf. I would like to have gnome initialize metacity, gnome-panel as running primarily on :0.1, instead of :0.0. Is this possible at all? To clarify, this is a laptop with its LCD turned off. My main monitor is connected to the VGA out and is driven by the nouveau driver for NVIDIA; a secondary monitor is on a displaylink usb-vga donverter. The seconday monitor is set in xorg.conf as the primary display (no way around it). I can do things like DISPLAY=:0.1 gnome-terminal to run applications on the main monitor. My question is whether it is possible to do this (GNOME-) system-wide.

• How to run unit tests with DSSS and GDC?

  I am very new to D and still battling trying to configure my toolchain. I am running Ubuntu Karmic and would like to use DSSS with GDC and Tango or TangoBos. Till now, I installed GDC from Ubuntu repositories, DSSS, Tango and TangoBos from these repositories and I can compile using dsss + gdc + tangobos. According to DSSS documentation, it should be possible to run the unit tests using $ dsss build --test but on my system, the --test argument is ignored. I have dsss last version (0.78) and its inline help does not include anything about unit tests. Running ldc --unittest works fine (though I do not know exactly which libray it picks up). Is there a way to run my unit tests using the same compiler & library than for compilation? If so, is there a way to automate the testing or will I have to run it module per module?

• PHP Redirect problem with subdomain

  I'm using PHP to redirect a page back to the previous page with the following: header("Location: {$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']}"); This set of pages will only be used by internal users, so I'm not terribly concerned about the fact that the referer will not always be available. The problem I'm running in to is that if the referer looks like http://subdomain.domain.com/test.php?id=13, the redirect ends up going to http://subdomain.domain.com/.domain.com/test.php?id=13. Notice the additional .domain.com/ in the url. I've tested by hardcoding the value, and it causes the problem as well. phpMyAdmin seems to suffer the same issue, but only on this particular server. If this is not an SO question, please move accordingly.

I am using Regexlite.h and Regexlite.m.i have the regular expression too. i want to compare the regex to the user entered value in text box.But am not knowing how to do it.Please help.   I have setup my Logic Tests following the instructions on http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/Xcode/Conceptual/iphone_development/135-Unit_Testing_Applications/unit_testing_applications.html. I could test a couple classes successfully. But I got error when testing the following: - (id)init { if (self = [super initWithNibName:@"Foo" bundle:nil]) { ... } return self; } The error message is -[UIViewController _loadViewFromNibNamed:bundle:] was unable to load a nib named "Foo" My question: Did I do something wrong? Missed something? or I cannot test -initWithNibName using Logic Tests technique. Thanks in advance for your help.

  I Installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a dell Inspiron 1501 with an AMD 64 along side windows vista using the windows installer but it wont boot into Ubuntu. It shows that Ubuntu is on the system when my computer boots up but when I select it to load it goes into a black screen and displays some error messages and tells me that the is no operating system installed. this is the error that i get: Try (hdo, 0):FAT16:no WUBILDR try (hdo, 1)NTFS: error: "Prefix" is not set. symbol not found:'grub_file_get_device_name' Aborted. • Can anyone tell me why Gnome 3 looks like as if it were a gnome fallback session in my virtualbox?

  For some reason Gnome 3 wont work in my virtualbox. Both gnome classic and gnome look exactly identical. The version of my virtualbox is: 4.1.2_ Ubuntu r38459 The 3D acceleration is on in the virtualbox and the Guest Additions is installed in the virtualbox from the software center. Obviously, the graphic card driver is installed on the main Ubuntu system I am using with my laptop. (although the post-release updates can't be installed for whatever reason) Gnome shell is installed from the software center in the virtualbox. Now the issue is that the gnome and gnome classic look like just the same. Here is an image of what gnome looks like (so does gnome classic too....so I am only posting one image): What causes this issue? By the way....I am using Ubuntu 11.10 with gnome fallback session.

• Printer Problems: Epson-Stylus-NX420

  I am new to Linux. I have heard one of the drawbacks to Linux is the peripheral support. I automatically installed my Epson Stylus NX420 using the "add printer" feature. It was super easy and I was thrilled to prove that Ubuntu defied the typical stereotype of printer support issues, or so I thought. I tried to print something and the printer went absolutely crazy. It spit out page after page, until I finally just unplugged it. I am curious to know if there is a driver out there that can correct this issue. I am using the 12.04 distro. Thanks, Jacob

• How do I handle a missing mandatory argument in Ruby OptionParser?

  In OptionParser I can make an option mandatory, but if I leave out that value it will take the name of any following option as the value, screwing up the rest of the command line parsing. Here is a test case that echoes the values of the options: $ ./test_case.rb --input foo --output bar output bar input foo Now leave out the value for the first option: $ ./test_case.rb --input --output bar input --output Is there some way to prevent it taking another option name as a value? • Lubuntu 13.04 mysterious occurence of icons appearing to be dragged

  On Lubuntu 13.04 every now and again, it appears as if an icon or file is being dragged across the screen...sometimes very short distances, sometimes longer. It seems to happen a short while after moving around Desktop icons. One or more mock drag and drop operations are visible. It's almost as if the actions are being replayed. What could be causing this? Is this a know issue? (Using nvidia-310-updates driver if any help). Any input would be much appreciated! Thank you Jimmy

• Low graphics mode on Ubuntu 12.04 with Intel Graphics

  When I boot, my computer just tells me it can't detect graphic card (or something else) settings and it has to use the low graphics mode. Then it gives me four choices, but doesn't let me choose any of them. I can get my computer to boot by going to some sort of terminal mode and then typing sudo gdm. The other graphics manager I have is lightdm. I originally had the nVidia propriety driver, and I've tried bumblebee. Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M is my graphics card. Is there any way to fix this so I can use lightdm again?

  Was working fine before i played around with NVIDIA drivers and ended up with this problem. • bash : recursive listing of all files problem

  Run a recursive listing of all the files in /var/log and redirect standard output to a file called lsout.txt in your home directory. Complete this question WITHOUT leaving your home directory. An: ls -R /var/log/ /home/bqiu/lsout.txt I reckon the above bash command is not correct. This is what I've got so far: $ ls -1R .: cal.sh cokemachine.sh dir sort test.sh ./dir: afile.txt file subdir ./dir/subdir: $ ls -R | sed s/^.*://g cal.sh cokemachine.sh dir sort test.sh afile.txt file subdir But this still leaves all directory/sub-directory names (dir and subdir), plus a couple of empty newlines How could I get the correct result without using Perl or awk? Preferably using only basic bash commands(this is just because Perl and awk is out of assessment scope)
