  • Image classification: recognizing various features of many buildings from images

    so, let's say i have the long/lat or address of many buildings can get satellite images, "street view", and perhaps 3d/perspective views of buildings. want to find: height, number of floors, floor area (max building footprint) of the building. about 200k buildings. Is there a library for recognizing buildings from satellite shots or pictures? Kind of like face detection I suppose. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi, I'd like to use HTML5 Canvas, but I'd like to use it in terms of shapes, texts and curves, able to attach traditional DOM events like onClick or drag-and-drop functions.     Hi Using Actionscript and or in the Flash IDE you can either instantiate bitmaps from the library, or simply import bitmaps into the timeline of a MovieClip to create an image sequence. How would you do the same thing in InterfaceBuilder and-or using ObjectiveC? Do I need to create a new view for each and every image?

    I'm able to get two videos to play sequentially, (and without pause!) with this code from Apple, (see section 2-4)... http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/documentation/AudioVideo/Conceptual/Using_HTML5_Audio_Video/ControllingMediaWithJavaScript/ControllingMediaWithJavaScript.html ...Yet completely lost as to how to play a 3rd or 5th video.   • Serialize() not using .XmlSerializers.dll produced with Sgen

    I have a sgen step in my .NET 3.5 library, producing a correct XYZ.XmlSerializers.dll in the output directory. Still having poor serialization performance, I discovered that .NET was still invoking a csc at runtime. Using process monitor, I saw that .NET was searching for a dll named "XYZ.XmlSerializers.-1378521009.dll". Why is there a '-1378521009' in the filename ? How to tell .NET to use the 'normal' DLL produced by sgen ?

  • Replace a control on the screen

    Hello all, I have an instance of a FlowCoverView (a great library that emulates cover flow on the iPhone). And it works great, with the exception of an update. When I update my table behind the scenes, I have no way of telling this control (that is defined in IB) that it has been updated, and to reload. (much like you can with a table using reloadData) To the question, is there a way to replace a control that is on the screen with another control to force the reload?

  • In gzip libary, what's the difference between 'uncompress' and 'gzopen' ?

    There are some functions to decompress in zlib library(zlib version 1.2.3) I want to decompress my source zip(.gz) file using 'uncompress' function. It is now working(error code -3) but gzopen is. It is still not working when I input payload pointer(passing gzip header) to 'uncompress' . So the question is "What's the valid arguments for uncompress function?" and If it needs different format, how can I make it? Google doesn't helpful this time :(

It's hard to put together a natural-sounding sentence to describe an item without using "a" or "an" - "a house is BIG", "an exclamation point is SMALL", etc. Is there any function, library, or hack i can use in PHP to determine whether it is more appropriate to describe any given noun with A or AN?

    Hi Working with iPhone simulator 3.1.3 - Trying to add a framework to my project - MediaPlayer.framework. I tried the "Add existing framework" method - but cannot find the file in folder "Frameworks". Am I looking in the wrong place? Wrong filename? Wrong space/time continuum? I also did a search for the file - to no avail. Not in /System/Library/Frameworks/ Do I have to download it?

    What is the advantage of using a ConcurrentBag(Of MyType) against just using a List(Of MyType)? The MSDN page on the CB (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381779(v=VS.100).aspx) states that ConcurrentBag(Of T) is a thread-safe bag implementation, optimized for scenarios where the same thread will be both producing and consuming data stored in the bag So what is the advantage? I can understand the advantage of the other collection types in the Concurrency namespace, but this one puzzled me. Thanks.
