  Today my dentist pulled all the stops. Really. Just to explain ... half a year ago or so, i got the base part of an dental implant in my jaw. Today i got the teeth ... beside other things. At first i made the acquaintance of a really weird instrument to remove a temporary tooth crown ... it's called "Hirtenstab" in german ... or "crown remover" in english ... i would call it tool of torture. After the fourth time using it, the temporary flew through the room and the final crowns were set on two teeth left and right of the implant. But the strangest instrument i saw was the instrument to fix the abatement (the thing between the crown and the screw thread implanted in the jaw). They really use a torque wrench (albeit a really small one) to screw the abatement into the jaw. Well .. at least i have a zirconium dioxide smile now ...

• New Oracle Cloud support in OEPE

  Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 12c (12.1.1.1.1) includes updated support for development with the Java Cloud Service. Users can now do iterative development against their Java Cloud Service instance in addition to testing against local and remote WebLogic Server installations. Some details of the cloud tools are below: Templates and wizards to create projects and server configurations for Oracle Java Cloud Service Develop applications to run and deploy to the cloud, including Oracle ADF. Check cloud server runtime and deployment logs in new log analyzers Test applications before deployment with integrated whitelist scans. Whitelist tools support as-you-type validation, project build validation, and on demand scans to highlight coding violations. Errors are reported in application source, the Problems view, and a new Whitelist violations view. Access the Oracle Public Cloud administrative consoles directly from within Eclipse.

• Key Promoter for NetBeans

  Whenever a menu item or toolbar button is clicked, it would be handy if NetBeans were to tell you 'hey, did you know, you can actually do this via the following keyboard shortcut', if a keyboard shortcut exists for the invoked action. After all, ultimately, a lot of developers would like to do everything with the keyboard and a key promoter feature of this kind is a helpful tool in learning the keyboard shortcuts related to the menu items and toolbar buttons you're clicking with your mouse. Above, you see the balloon message that appears for each menu item and toolbar button that you click and, below, you can see a list of all the actions that have been logged in the Notifications window. That happens automatically when an action is invoked (assuming the plugin described in this blog entry is installed), showing the display name of the action, together with the keyboard shortcut, which is presented as a hyperlink which, when clicked, re-invokes the action (which might not always be relevant, especially for context-sensitive actions, though for others it is quite useful, e.g., reopen the New Project wizard). And here's all the code. • Adding an existing Control Domain to a Server Pool

  I got a question about LDoms: "Is it possible to move a Control Domain built through Ops Center with pre-existing LDoms into a server pool? If so, do I need to delete and recreate anything?" Yes, you can do this. You have to stop the LDom guests, and then you can add the CDom to a Server Pool. If the guests are using shared storage, you should be able to bring them up in the Server Pool. If the guests are not on shared storage, you can use the Migrate Storage option to bring their storage in.
