  • Error while sending image through ajax to WCF

    - by Samar Rizvi
    Here is my form: <form id="register" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="text" name="first_name" placeholder="First Name" id="first_name" /> <input type="text" name="last_name" placeholder="Last Name" id="last_name" /> <input type="text" name="input_email" placeholder="Confirm your email" id="input_email" class="loginEmail" /> <input type="password" name="input_password" placeholder="Password" id="input_password" class="loginPassword" /> <input type="password" name="repeat_password" placeholder="Repeat password" id="repeat_password" class="loginPassword" /> <input type="file" name="image_file" id="image_file" /> <div class="logControl"> <div class="memory"></div> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Register" class="buttonM bBlue" id="register_submit"/> <div class="clear"></div> </div> <p><h3>Or click <a href="login.html">here</a> to login</h3></p> </form> Here is jquery call that I make: function WCFJSON() { $(".memory").html('<img src="images/elements/loaders/7s.gif" />'); Data = new FormData($('form')[0]); $.ajax({ type: 'POST', //GET or POST or PUT or DELETE verb url: "WCFService/Service.svc/Register", // Location of the service data: Data, //Data sent to server async:false, cache:false, contentType: false, // content type sent to server dataType: DataType, //Expected data format from server processdata: false, //True or False success: function(msg) {//On Successfull service call ... }, error: ...// When Service call fails }); } $(document).ready(function(){ $("#register").submit(function(){ $('#input_password').val(CryptoJS.MD5($('#input_password').val())); $('#repeat_password').val(CryptoJS.MD5($('#repeat_password').val())); WCFJSON(); return false; }); }); Now when I submit the form , page refreshes with get elements in the url. But if I remove the file input from the form, jquery works fine.

  • Querying XML using node numbers

    - by CP
Okay, so I'm writing a utility that compares 2 XML documents using Microsoft's XML diff patch tool. The result looks something like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><xd:xmldiff version="1.0" srcDocHash="10728157883908851288" options="IgnoreChildOrder IgnoreComments IgnoreWhitespace " fragments="yes" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/xmltools/2002/xmldiff"><xd:node match="1"><xd:node match="1"><xd:node match="1"><xd:node match="2"><xd:node match="1"><xd:node match="1"><xd:node match="2"><xd:change match="1">testi22n2123</xd:change></xd:node></xd:node><xd:add match="/1/1/1/2/1/8" opid="1" /><xd:node match="7"><xd:node match="1"><xd:change match="1">31</xd:change></xd:node><xd:node match="2"><xd:change match="1">test2ing</xd:change></xd:node></xd:node><xd:remove match="8" opid="1" /></xd:node></xd:node></xd:node></xd:node></xd:node><xd:descriptor opid="1" type="move" /></xd:xmldiff> What I'm trying to do is go back into the source document and get the source data that represents the difference. I initially tried creating an Xpath query, but as I understand it now this XmlDiff thing works off the DOM... which seems like the dinosaur of XML objects these days. What's the best way to get at the node in the source XML by using the numbers provided in the diff result?

  • Effect.toggle and AJAX Calls

    - by kunalsawlani
Hi, I am using the following code to capture all the AJAX calls being made from my app, in order to show a busy spinner till the call is completed. It works well when the requests are well spaced out. However, when the request are made in quick successions, some of the AJAX calls do not get registered, or the onCreate and onComplete actions get kicked off at the same time, and more often than not, the busy spinner continues to appear on the screen, after all the calls have successfully completed. Is there any check I can perform at the end of the call, to check if the element is visible, I can hide it. document.observe("dom:loaded", function() { $('loading').hide(); Ajax.Responders.register({ //When an Ajax call is made. onCreate: function() { new Effect.toggle('loading', 'appear'); new Effect.Opacity('display-area', { from: 1.0, to: 0.3, duration: 0.7 }); }, onComplete: function() { new Effect.toggle('loading', 'appear'); new Effect.Opacity('display-area', { from: 0.3, to: 1, duration: 0.7 }); } }); }); Thanks!

  • How to delete ProgIDs from other user accounts when uninstalling from Windows?

    - by Mordachai
I've been investigating "how should a modern windows c++ application register its file types" with Windows (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2828637/c-how-do-i-correctly-register-and-unregister-file-type-associations-for-our-ap). And having combed through the various MSDN articles on the subject, the summary appears to be as follows: The installer (elevated) should register the global ProgID HKLM\Software\Classes\my-app.my-doc[.version] (e.g. HKLM\Software\Classes\TextPad.text) The installer also configures default associations for its document types (e.g. .myext) and points this to the aforementioned global ProgID in HKLM. NOTE: a user interface should be provided here to allow the user to either accept all default associations, or to customize which associations should be set. The application, running standard (unelevated), should provide a UI for allowing the current user to set their personal associations as is available in the installer, except that these associations are stored in HKCU\Software\Classes (per user, not per machine). The UN-installer is then responsible for deleting all registered ProgIDs (but should leave the actual file associations alone, as Windows is smart enough to handle associations pointing to missing ProgIDs, and this is the specified desired behavior by MSDN). So that schema sounds reasonable to me, except when I consider #4: How does an uninstaller, running elevated for a given user account, delete any per-user ProgIDs created in step #3 for other users? As I understand things, even in elevated mode, an uninstaller cannot go into another user's registry hive and delete items? Or can it? Does it have to load each given user hive first? What are the rules here? Thanks for any insight you might have to offer! EDIT: See below for the solution (My question was founded in confusion)

  • PHP: Opening/closing tags & performance?

    - by Tom
Hi, This may be a silly question, but as someone relatively new to PHP, I'm wondering if there are any performance-related issues to frequently opening and closing PHP tags in HTML template code, and if so, what might be best practices in terms of working with php tags? My question is not about the importance/correctness of closing tags, or about which type of code is more readable than another, but rather about how the document gets parsed/executed and what impact it might have on performance. To illustrate, consider the following two extremes: Mixing PHP and HTML tags: <?php echo '<tr> <td>'.$variable1.'</td> <td>'.$variable2.'</td> <td>'.$variable3.'</td> <td>'.$variable4.'</td> <td>'.$variable5.'</td> </tr>' ?> // PHP tag opened once Separating PHP and HTML tags: <tr> <td><?php echo $variable1 ?></td> <td><?php echo $variable2 ?></td> <td><?php echo $variable3 ?></td> <td><?php echo $variable4 ?></td> <td><?php echo $variable5 ?></td> </tr> // PHP tag opened five times Would be interested in hearing some views on this, even if it's just to hear that it makes no difference. Thanks.

  • jQuery AJAX tabs + PHP

    - by ufw
Hi, seems like I'm stuck with jQuery tabs. I'm trying to pass selected tab name to some php script but is seems like it doesn't get any data. This is how tabs normally work without any response from server side: http://pastebin.com/KBxj7p5k And this is how I try to pass the the current tab name to the server: $(document).ready(function() { $('ul.tabs li').css('cursor', 'pointer'); $('ul.tabs.tabs1 li').click(function(){ var thisClass = this.className.slice(0,2); $('div.t1').hide(); $('div.t2').hide(); $('div.t3').hide(); $('div.t4').hide(); $('div.' + thisClass).show('fast'); $('ul.tabs.tabs1 li').removeClass('tab-current'); $(this).addClass('tab-current'); var name = thisClass; var data = 'name='+name; $.ajax ({ type:"GET", url:"handler.php", data:data, success:function(html) { thisClass.html(html); } }); }); Thanks.

  • Is the Subversion 'stack' a realistic alternative to Team Foundation Server?

    - by Robert S.
I'm evaluating Microsoft Team Foundation Server for my customer, who currently uses Visual SourceSafe and nothing else. They have explicitly expressed a desire to implement a more rigid and process-driven environment as their application is in production and they have future releases to consider. The particular areas I'm trying to cover are: Configuration management (e.g., source control) Change management (workflow and doco for change requests, tasks) Release management (builds and deployments) Incident and problem management (issues and bugs) Document management (similar to source control, but available via web) Code analysis constraints on check-ins A testing framework Reporting Visual Studio 2008 integration TFS does all of these things quite well, but it's expensive and complex to maintain, and the inexpensive Workgroup edition doesn't scale. We don't get TFS as part of our MSDN subscription. Those problems can be overcome, but before I tell my customer to go the TFS route, which in itself isn't a terrible thing, I wanted to evaluate the alternatives. I know Subversion is often suggested for its configuration management/source control, but what about the other areas? Would a combination of Subversion/NUnit/Wiki/CruiseControl/NAnt/something else satisfy all of these requirements? What tools do I need to include in my evaluation? Or should I just bite the bullet and go with TFS since we're already invested in the Microsoft stack?

  • Hovering a div shows hidden div - jquery to prototype conversion

    - by phil
I may get killed for this but I have been trying for a few days using Prototype to show a hidden div when hovering over another div. I have this working fine in jquery but I could use some help porting it over to prototype. The code sample: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $(".recent-question").hover(function(){ $(this).find(".interact").fadeIn(2.0); }, function(){ $(this).find(".interact").fadeOut(2.0); }); }); </script> <div class="recent-question"> <img src="images/new/img-sample.gif" alt="" width="70" height="60" /> <div class="question-text"> <h3>Heading</h3> <p><a href="#">Yadda Yadda Yadda</p> </div> <div class="interact" style="display:none;"> <ul> <li><a href="#">Choice1</a></li> <li><a href="#">Choice2</a></li> <li><a href="#">Choice3</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> So basically when I hover over a recent-question div i would like the div.interact to fade in or appear at all. The above code is for jquery but I am required to use prototype for this project. Any help converting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    This script works perfectly in all the browsers, except Google Chrome. $(document).ready(function(){ $(".banners-anim img").each(function(){ var hover_width = $(this).width(); var hover_height = $(this).height(); var unhover_width = (hover_width - 30); $(this).width(unhover_width); var unhover_height = $(this).height(); $(this).closest("li").height(unhover_height); var offset = "-" + ((hover_height - unhover_height)/2) + "px"; $(this).closest("span").css({'position':'absolute', 'left':'0', 'top':'25px', 'width':'100%'}); $(this).hover(function(){ $(this).animate({width: hover_width, marginTop: offset}, "fast") },function(){ $(this).animate({width: unhover_width, marginTop: 0}, "fast") }); }); }); Chrome doesn't recognize changed image attributes. When width of the img changes, height also changes. Even not in Chrome.. $(this).width(unhover_width); var unhover_height = $(this).height(); unhover_height gives 0. Full code of this script (html included) - unhover_height Please help to fix this. Thanks.

  • .NET - Unable to get values from Value property of HtmlInputHidden

    - by user245123
I have a custom control that inherits from .NET's CompositeControl class. This control overrides the CreateChildControls in order to build its child controls dynamically. I need the page to post back after a couple different javascript events occur on the client side. In order to accomplish this, I create two hidden controls on the page so I can set their values with javascript, submit the page, and read the values out on server side. Here's is the code I use to create these two hiddens: Protected Overrides Sub CreateChildControls() hdEventName = New HiddenField() Controls.Add(hdEventName) hdEventName.ID = "hdEventName" hdEventArgs = New HiddenField() Controls.Add(hdEventArgs) hdEventArgs.ID = "hdEventValue" ' other controls ' ... End Sub When a javascript event occurs I set the value attribute of the two hiddens and submit the page, like so: hdEventName.value = 'EventName'; hdEventArgs.value = 'arg1,arg2'; document.forms[0].submit(); In the OnLoad method of my control, I attempt to check the Value property of the hdEventName and hdEventArgs controls, but it is always empty. However, Page.Request.Form(hdEventName.UniqueID) and Page.Request.Form(hdEventArgs.UniqueID) return correct values. The actual HTML in the markup also shows correct values after the page posts back. Why is the Value property of the HtmlInputHiddens disconnected from the actual value that appears on the client?

  • jquery fade an element in when a link is clicked and then swap the element when another link is clic

    - by Nik
I have worked out how to fade an element in: Click here to view the page If you click on the heading Posture 1 : Standing Deep Breathing : you will notice the element fades in as it should. If you now click on posture 2 you will see the element fades in below posture 1. I need to be able to swap posture 1 with posture 2. I have a total of 26 postures that all have images that need to fade in and then be swapped with another image when another heading is clicked. $(document).ready(function(){ $('#section_Q_01,#section_Q_02').hide(); $('h5.trigger#Q_01').click(function(){ $('#section_Q_01').fadeIn(2000) ; }); $('h5.trigger#Q_02').click(function(){ $('#section_Q_02').fadeIn(5000) ; }); }); and the html <div id="section_Q_01" class="01"> <div class="pics"> <img src="../images/multi/poses/pose1/Pranayama._01.jpg"/> <img src="../images/multi/poses/pose1/Pranayama._02.jpg"/> <img src="../images/multi/poses/pose1/Pranayama._03.jpg"/> </div> </div> <div id="section_Q_02" class="02"> <div class="pics"> <img src="../images/multi/poses/pose2/Half_Moon_Pose_04.jpg" /> <img src="../images/multi/poses/pose2/Backward_Bending_05.jpg" /> <img src="../images/multi/poses/pose2/Hands_to_Feet_Pose_06.jpg" /> </div> </div> I need to be able to swap a total of 26 elements #section_Q_01 - #section_Q_26 Any help appreciated

  • Inserting Row in Table inside Form tag autosubmitting in firefox/chrome

    - by user1861489
I have a form that will have dynamic elements inserted with javascript and am experiencing some strange behavior. When I click the button to add another element to the table in the form, it adds the element but seems to to a form post immediately (without intending to submit the form yet) I have created a simplified example of the page that has the same behavior. the first table element is created on page load and subsequent elements are added when clicking on the button. this form works successfully in IE. does anyone have an idea of how to prevent this behavior? here is the code sample. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Test Creating Form</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8"> <style type="text/css"> td{font-family:verdana;} </style> <script type="text/javascript"> var counter = 0; function makeTitle(title){ if(counter){ title += " " + counter; } counter++; var tbl = document.getElementById('tbl'); var tr = tbl.insertRow(-1) var td1 = tr.insertCell(-1); td1.innerHTML = title; } function load1(){ makeTitle('Primary Specimen'); } </script> </head> <body onload="load1();"> <form action="formtest.htm" method="post" name="testForm" id="testForm"> <table id="tbl" border="1"></table> <button onclick="makeTitle('Alternate Specimen')" id="clone" >Add Another Specimen</button> </form> </body> </html>

  • PHP checking/refreashing functions

    - by user1284360
    ok i have a main document that displays a chatbox, what i want is for the chatbox to refreash on everyone who is logged in's screen whenever someone posts a new message... ive tried many methods including sleep timers and new functions that call then sleep and get recalled but this just generates an endless line of the same or little diffrent data making the form unusable until error... this is my code <?php // set error reporting level if (version_compare(phpversion(), "5.3.0", ">=") == 1) error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED); else error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE); require_once('inc/login.inc.php'); require_once('inc/chat.inc.php'); // initialization of login system and generation code $oSimpleLoginSystem = new SimpleLoginSystem(); $oSimpleChat = new SimpleChat(); // draw login box echo $oSimpleLoginSystem->getLoginBox(); // draw chat application $sChatResult = '<font color="0x99000"> <a href="Register_form.html">New Account</a><br> login to send a message<br> or register for a new account</font>'; if ($_COOKIE['member_name'] && $_COOKIE['member_pass']) { if ($oSimpleLoginSystem->check_login($_COOKIE['member_name'], $_COOKIE['member_pass'])) { $sChatResult = ""; if($oSimpleLoginSystem->check_privledges($_COOKIE['member_name']) >= 2) { $sChatResult .= "<br>privledge check Working<br>"; } $sChatResult .= "<form action=$_SERVER[PHP_SELF] method='post'> <input type='hidden' name='foo' value='<?= $foo ?>' /> <input type='submit' name='submit' value='Refresh Messages' /> </form>"; $sChatResult .= $oSimpleChat->acceptMessages(); $sChatResult .= "<br><br>"; $sChatResult .= $oSimpleChat->getMessages(); } } echo $sChatResult; ?>

  • AppleScript: open frontmost file with another application

    - by jacobianism
I'd like to write an AppleScript program to do the following (Automator would be fine too): I want to open the current active TextMate file (possibly there are several tabs open and other windows) with the application Transmit 2. (This will upload the file over FTP using Transmit's DockSend feature.) Here I've used a specific application (TextMate) but ideally I'd like it to work for any file currently active in any application. Ultimately I will assign a keyboard shortcut to run it. Here's what I have so far: tell application (path to frontmost application as text) set p to path of document 1 end tell tell application "Finder" open POSIX file p using "Transmit 2" end tell I've tried many variants of this and nothing works. EDIT: I have found this page: http://wiki.macromates.com/Main/Howtos and someone has made exactly the script I'm looking for: tell application "Transmit" to open POSIX file "$TM_FILEPATH" This is for Transmit [not 2] and I think for TextMate pre v2. I get the error (when using Transmit 2): Transmit 2 got an error: AppleEvent handler failed. One of the updates to v2 has broken it (not sure which one).

  • How to pass a parameter in a Javascript confirm function?

    - by Miles M.
I have something like that in my code: <?php foreach($clients as $client): ?> <tr class="tableContent"> <td onclick="location.href='<?php echo site_url('clients/edit/'.$client->id ) ?>'"><?php echo $client->id ?></td> <td><a class='Right btn btn-danger' onClick="ConfirmMessage('client', <?php $client->id ?>,'clients')"> <i class="icon-remove-sign icon-white"></i> </a></td> </tr> <?php endforeach ?> that's actually the view. So when the user click on the delete button (thr one with the btn-danger class) I'd like him to confirm his choice with a javascript confirmation box message. You can find that script in the header <script> function ConfirmMessage(type, id, types) { if (confirm("Are you sure you want to delete this ",type," ?")) { // Clic sur OK document.location.href='<?php echo site_url(); ?>',types,'/delete/',id; } } </script> So here is my question: I would like the $type to be replaced by a paramenter (like client, article, post .. ) that I'll pass to the function. And i would like to get the $client-id parameter as well. I'm bad in javascript and as you already have guess, It is obviously not working at all.

  • How to access frame (not iframe) contents from jQuery.

    - by kazanaki
Hello I have 2 frames in one page like this (home.html) <frameset rows="50%, 50%"> <frame id="treeContent" src="treeContent.html" /> <frame id="treeStatus" src="treeStatus.html" /> </frameset> and then in one frame (treeStatus.html) I have something like <body style="margin: 0px"> <div id="statusText">Status bar for Tree</div> </body> I want from the top window to manipulate the div located in the child frame via jquery (e.g show and hide). I have seen several questions like this and they suggest the following $(document).ready(function(){ $('#treeStatus').contents().find("statusText").hide(); }); I do not know if this works with iframes but in my case where I have simple frames it does not seem to work. The code is placed inside home.html Here is some output from firebug console >>> $('#treeStatus') [frame#treeStatus] >>> $('#treeStatus').contents() [] >>> $('#treeStatus').children() [] So how do I access frame elements from the top frame? Am I missing something here?

  • newbie hibernate first level cache confusion

    - by Bruce
Hi all I'm just geting to grips with hibernate. Little bit confused. I just wanted to watch the operation of the first level cache, which I understood to batch up queries until the end of the session. But if I create an object, hibernate saves it immediately, so that when I later update it in the same transaction, it has to do an update too: Session session = factory.getCurrentSession(); session.beginTransaction(); Test1 test1 = new Test1(); test1.setName("Test 1"); test1.setValue(10); // Touch it session.save(test1); System.out.println("At checkpoint 1"); test1.setValue(20); session.getTransaction().commit(); I see the sql for the save, then 'At checkpoint 1', then the sql for the update. Do I have something set up wrong or am I misunderstanding hibernate's first level cache? Is there a good document on the first level cache - I didn't find anything in the hibernate docs, but I could easily have missed it.. Thanks!

  • HTML form never calls Javascript

    - by user1205577
I have a set of radio buttons defined in HTML like so: <input type="radio" name="group" id="rad1" value="rad1" onClick="doStuff(this.id)">Option 1<br> <input type="radio" name="group" id="rad2" value="rad2" onClick="doStuff(this.id)">Option 2<br> Just before the </body> tag, I have the following JavaScript behavior defined: <script type="text/javascript"> /*<![CDATA[*/ function doStuff(var id){ alert("Doing stuff!"); } /*]]>*/ </script> When I run the program, the page loads as expected in my browser window and the radio buttons allow me to click them. The doStuff() function, however, is never called (I validated this using breakpoints as well). I also tried the following just to see if inline made the difference, but it seems the JavaScript is never called at all: <script type="text/javascript"> /*<![CDATA[*/ alert("JavaScript called!"); main(); function main(){ var group = document.getElementsByName('group'); for(var i=0; i<group.length; i++){ group[i].onclick = function(){ doStuff(this.id); }; } } /*]]>*/ </script> My question is, is there something special I need to do using HTML and JavaScript in this context? My question is not whether I should be using inline function calls or whether this is your favorite way to write code.

  • Migrating Ajax web application to web socket

    - by Bastan
Hi, I think i'm just missing a little detail that is preventing me from seeing the whole picture. I have a web application which use ajax request every x time to update client with new information or tasks. I also have a long running process on the server which is a java computation engine. I would like this engine to send update to the client. I am wondering how to migrate my web app to using websocket. Probably phpwebsocket or similar. Can my server 'decide' to send information to a specific client? It seems possible looking at the php-websocket. Can my java backend long process use the websocket server to send notification to a specific client. How? well I can say that my java app could use a class that could send over websocket instead of http. But how the websocket server knows to which client to send the 'info'. I am puzzle by all this. Any document that explain this in more details? It seems that the websocket could create an instance of my web application. Thanks

  • Google Doclist API : bug in revision history?

    - by Jerbome
I'm trying to manage revisions of files (not documents) stored in google docs programatically using gdata document list java library v3. I can create files and revisions using this tool : I can see them in the web UI. The thing is : the content of my revisions seems wrong. Here is my test protocol : I create a plain text file with "Hello World" in it. I upload it to gdocs without converting it. I create a revision of this file, its content changing to "Content of the second version" I create another revision, its content is now "Content of the third version" At each step, I check the content of each revision, using my app AND using the web UI. Here is what I get : First step : no problem i see one version containing the "Hello world" text Second step : no problem either, i see 2 versions, containing Hello World for the first one and Content of the second version for the second. Third step : here the problems comes. I see my 3 versions, but only the third and last seems to be correct. when i download the second version, the content is "Content of the second versio" (not a typo, it misses the 'n'). And i cannot even download the initial version, it seems to timeout. Important thing : I did not have this problem three weeks ago, my revision management worked well. I have no idea of what happens there, except it seems to be server-related, as the problem is seen either with my app or the google native webapp. Last thing : I tried using the google drive API as gdocs had been merged with drive. When i request revisions of my file, the API returns me an error saying that revisions are not supported for files, even if i can see them in the UI. I tried on converted documents, it worked. I'm looking for a workaround for this problem. Has anyone ever encountered such a problem ? Thanks in advance, Jérôme

My problem is that I can only create the links once the web page has loaded, but the loading isn't done right after [self loadRequest:requestObj] is called. - (void)loadSubject:(NSString *)subject { // load the actual webpage NSString *wiki = @"http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/"; NSString *fullURL = [wiki stringByAppendingString:subject]; NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:fullURL]; NSURLRequest *requestObj = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; [self loadRequest:requestObj]; // [self createLinks]; // need this to be called after the view has loaded } - (void)createLinks { NSString *javascript = @"var string = \"\";" "var arr = document.getElementsByClassName(\"mw-redirect\");" "for (var i = 0; i < arr.length; ++i)" "{" "var redirectLink = arr[i].href;" "string = string + redirectLink + \" \";" "}" "string;"; NSString *links = [self stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:javascript]; self.links = [links componentsSeparatedByString:@" "]; } I tried the normal delegation technique, which lead to this code being added: - (id)init { if (self = [super init]) { self.delegate = self; // weird } return self; } #pragma mark - UIWebViewDelegate - (void)webViewDidStartLoad:(UIWebView *)webView { ++_numProcesses; } - (void)webView:(UIWebView *)webView didFailLoadWithError:(NSError *)error { --_numProcesses; } - (void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView { --_numProcesses; if (_numProcesses == 0) { [self createLinks]; } } However, the delegate methods are never called.. I've seen similar questions where the answers are to use blocks, but how would I do that in this case?

  • Cant get JavaScipt to check for null objects

    - by CountMurphy
I really don't know what the issue is here. Far as I can see, the code is simple and should work fine. var Prices=""; for (var PriceCount = 1; PriceCount <= 120; PriceCount++) { var CurrentPrice = "Price" + PriceCount; if (prevDoc.getElementById(CurrentPrice).value != null) { if (Prices == "") { Prices = prevDoc.getElementById(CurrentPrice).value; } else { Prices += "," + prevDoc.getElementById(CurrentPrice).value; } } else { break; } } There could be up to 120 hidden inputs on the form. The moment we check for an input that doesn't exist the loop should break. My test page has two input elements that get pulled. On the third (the null) I get this error in firebug: prevDoc.getElementById(CurrentPrice) is null if (prevDoc.getElementById(CurrentPrice).value != null) { Yes it is null...that's what the check is for ?_? Does any one know what I'm doing wrong? This seems like it should be really straight forward. EDIT: for clarity's sake, prevDoc=window.opener.document

  • Javascript int variable from ASP.NET MVC Model data?

    - by Anders Svensson
I need to get model data into a javascript variable and use it as an int to compare values. But I can only figure out how to get the model data as strings, otherwise the compiler complains. So how can I get the max and taskBudgetHours as int variables in the Javascript? <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $("#taskForm").submit(function (e) { var taskBudgetHours = $('#BudgetHours').val(); var max = '<%: Model.Project.RemainingBudgetHours %>'; var test = 'test'; alert(taskBudgetHours); alert(max); if (taskBudgetHours <= max) { //This doesn't work, seems to treat it as strings... return true; } else { //Prevent the submit event and remain on the screen e.preventDefault(); alert('There are only ' + max + ' hours left of the project hours.'); return false; } }); return; }); </script>

  • Hide elements for current visit only

    - by deanloh
I need to display a banner that sticks to the bottom of the browser. So I used these codes: $(document).ready(function(){ $('#footie').css('display','block'); $('#footie').hide().slideDown('slow'); $('#footie_close').click(function(){ $('#footie_close').hide(); $('#footie').slideUp('slow'); }); }); And here's the HTML: <div id="footie"> {banner here} <a id="footie_close">Close</a> </div> I added the close link there to let user have the option to close the banner. How ever, when user navigates to next page, the banner shows up again. What can I do to set the banner to remained hidden just for this visit? In other words, as long as the browser remained open, the banner will not show up again. But if user returns to the same website another time, the banner should load again. Thanks in advance for any help!
