• Multiline for WPF TextBox

  I am developing a app for sending some feedback. Basically i'm trying to make a TextBox for comments, but i'm used to the WinForms MultiLine=true. I've set MinLines to 3, which is getting there, but preferably i'd like if user is able to type wherever in this block, like press enter and do dot points sort of thing - like: - Item 1 blah - Item 2 blahlb lahbvl d But at the moment the text all stays on one line. - Item 1 blah - Item 2 blahb blahb blah This comments will then help fill the body of an email which is sent. It may be pointless if I can't easily keep the same formatting when putting this string into the email body string (so that it looks like it does when sent as it does when typed). Can I achieve what I'm after or do I have to leave it as all text on one line?

  So how do you display complex aggregated ViewModels whose Models have relations to each other? NO wpf disciple ever spoke about that, guess why its not possible... Do you think thats true? Don`t understand me? Look: A CustomerViewModel has many OrderViewModel and those many ProductViewModel. You have 3 Workspaces to enter the new data for all 3 ViewModels AND you have 3 listboxes/combobo/datagrid to multiselect Collections of type = customerVMs, orderVMs and productVM`s. That the UI makes sense to the user he should not need to turn off/on the workspace every new customer/order/product is added what is a bad user experience, how do you do this typical LOB application requirement?

I have a session variable $_SESSION["animals"] containing a deep json object with values: $_SESSION["animals"]='{ "0":{"kind":"mammal","name":"Pussy the Cat","weight":"12kg","age":"5"}, "1":{"kind":"mammal","name":"Roxy the Dog","weight":"25kg","age":"8"}, "2":{"kind":"fish","name":"Piranha the Fish","weight":"1kg","age":"1"}, "3":{"kind":"bird","name":"Einstein the Parrot","weight":"0.5kg","age":"4"}, }'; For example, I want to find the line with "Piranha the Fish" and then remove it (and json_encode it again as it was). How to do this? I guess i need to search in json_decode($_SESSION["animals"],true) resulting array and find the parent key to remove but i'm stucked anyways.

  Square brackets allow you to use names for columns or aliases that contain characters not permitted for column names or aliases. a) I’ve noticed that lots of times table and column names are enclosed inside square brackets, even though their names consist of perfectly legal characters. Why is that? b) As far as I know, square brackets enclosing object’s name aren’t actually a part of that name. Thus, if we create a table named [A]: CREATE TABLE [A] ( … ) we can later reference it without using brackets: SELECT * FROM A But why isn’t the same true when I try to reference a column KEY from a table returned by CONTAINSTABLE function? • SQLAlchemy automatically converts str to unicode on commit

  Hello, When inserting an object into a database with SQLAlchemy, all it's properties that correspond to String() columns are automatically transformed from <type 'str'> to <type 'unicode'>. Is there a way to prevent this behavior?   Following on from my question here, I'm trying to create a generic value equality comparer. Is it possible to do this dynamically at all? There are a couple of related questions on here which I have read but I couldn't follow them enough to work out how they might apply in my situation.

• Why is django admin not accepting Nullable foreign keys?

  Here is a simplified version of one of my models: class ImportRule(models.Model): feed = models.ForeignKey(Feed) name = models.CharField(max_length=255) feed_provider_category = models.ForeignKey(FeedProviderCategory, null=True) target_subcategories = models.ManyToManyField(Subcategory) This class manages a rule for importing a list of items from a feed into the database. The admin system won't let me add an ImportRule without selecting a feed_provider_category despite it being declared in the model as nullable. The database (SQLite at the moment) even checks out ok: >>> .schema ... CREATE TABLE "someapp_importrule" ( "id" integer NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, "feed_id" integer NOT NULL REFERENCES "someapp_feed" ("id"), "name" varchar(255) NOT NULL, "feed_provider_category_id" integer REFERENCES "someapp_feedprovidercategory" ("id"), ); ... I can create the object in the python shell easily enough: f = Feed.objects.get(pk=1) i = ImportRule(name='test', feed=f) i.save() ...but the admin system won't let me edit it, of course. How can I get the admin to let me edit/create objects without specifying that foreign key?

• Huge file in Clojure and Java heap space error

  I posted before on a huge XML file - it's a 287GB XML with Wikipedia dump I want ot put into CSV file (revisions authors and timestamps). I managed to do that till some point. Before I got the StackOverflow Error, but now after solving the first problem I get: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space error. ", true], :include => :post) This does not work as joins does an inner join, and include does a left out join. The database throws an error as both joins can't be there in same query.

  This is for a genetic algorithm fitness function, so it is important I can do this as efficiently as possible, as it will be repeated over and over. Lets say there is a function foo(int[] array) that returns true if the array is a "good" array and false if the array is a "bad" array. What makes it good or bad does not matter here. Given the full array [1,6,8,9,5,11,45,16,9], lets say that subarray [1,6,8] is a "good" array and [9,5,11,45] is a "good" array. Furthermore [5,11,45,16,9] is a "good" array, and also the longest "good" subarray. Notice that while [9,5,11,45] is a "good" array, and [5,11,45,16,9] is a "good" array, [9,5,11,45,16,9] is a "bad" array. We wants the length counts of all "good" arrays, but not subarrays of "good" arrays. Furthermore, as described above, a "good" array might begin in the middle of another "good" array, but the combination of the two might be a "bad" array.

• flex List Size not updating when itemRenderer resizes itself

  I've got a list with a custom itemRenderer that's just a rectangle of specific size. The list <s:List id="thelist" width="100%" dataProvider="{thelistdata}" itemRenderer="ListItem" borderVisible="true" /> Note the list's border is visible to help with debugging The itemRenderer <s:Rect id="box" width="50" height="50"> <s:fill> <s:SolidColor color="blue"/> </s:fill> </s:Rect> When the itemRenderer receives an event, it changes its size to half box.width = 25; box.height = 25; I see the itemRenderers are resizing themselves correctly, but the list itself stays the same size and the border stays where it is. Anyone knows how to fix this bug. Basically the list should refresh its size too to fit the smaller boxes.

• C# Lambda Problem

  Probably something simple, but as I'm new to lambda expressions, the problem evades me: m => m.contactID == contactID && m.primaryAddress == true && (m.addressTypeID == 2 || m.addressTypeID == 3) I tried to use that lambda expression but I receive an invalid operator. Is there a way to simplify this so that it would work? Edit: The equivolent sql query would be: SELECT * FROM Contact WHERE contactID = 3 AND primaryAddress = 1 AND (addressTypeID = 2 OR addressTypeID = 3) I have a repository function defined like so: public E Single(Expression<Func<E, bool>> where) { return objectSet.Single<E>(where); } I'm passing the lambda expression above into this function. Invalid operator error.

• "Initializing - Busy - Stopping" LOOP issue in Azure deployement

  Hi folks, I am trying to deploy an azure cloud application on Windows Azure. Application specifications are -- It has one WebRole - ASP.Net MVC Application (ASP.Net charting control is used in this MVC application) It does not contain any worker role. Third party references are set with property "copy Local" to "true"(MVC,ASP Charting control & ASP Provider DLLs) There is no DiagnosticsConnectionString in service configuration file It uses ASP provider for session state management. This application runs successfully on local dev fabric but when I try to deploy it on Windows Azure it gets stuck in a loop with status being changed between Initializing, Busy, Stopping states. It never goes into READY state. It seems that there are no ERROR logs for conveying the deployment issues to user. So is there any way to diagnose deployment issues ? Is there any way to get deployment ERROR logs ? Any kind of help will be appreciated. Thanks, Kushal

• How to properly close a process with NppExec?

  I'm not sure what's going on here, but the following code continues running even after I end the process in the NppExec console with Ctrl-C (during the execution of the while loop). I restarted my computer to stop the Ctrl key sends. • Customer session is different in different parts of a Magento website

  I have a function inside of a Helper in Magento that returns whether or not a customer attribute equals one. Here is my Helper class class Nie_Nie_Helper_Data extends Mage_Core_Helper_Abstract { public function isNieAdmin() { if(Mage::getSingleton('customer/session')->getCustomer()->getNieAdmin() == 1) { return true; } else { return false; } } } Now when I call this function from a class that extends Mage_Core_Block_Template, everything seems to work fine. However when I try to use this inside one of my controllers, it does not work. In fact when I do Mage::getSingleton('customer/session')-getCustomer()-debug() the only variable that is returned is the website_id. Does anyone know what I have to do in order to get this to work?   I have a PDO mysql that updates 3 fields. $update = $mypdo->prepare("UPDATE tablename SET field1=:field1, field2=:field2, field3=:field3 WHERE key=:key"); But I want field3 to be updated only when $update3 = true; (meaning that the update of field3 is controlled by a conditional statement) Is this possible to accomplish with a single query?
