    [myTextField becomeFirstResponder]; [myTextField resignFirstResonder]; When I do this -(BOOL)textFieldShouldReturn:(UITextField *)textField , it works. But when I use the same code inside -(void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField , it does not work. I am certain that it is calling textFieldDidBeginEditing. I have an NSLog inside the method and it is being called.

    I have created two WCF Services (Shipping & PDFGenerator). They both, along with my ClientApp, share an assembly named Kyle.Common.Contracts. Is there a way to force the proxy generator to use Kyle.Common.Contracts.TrackResult whenever I use a MessageContract? Perhaps there's a better method for using a Stream and File Name as return types? I just don't want to have to create a Copy method to copy from ClientApp.PDFDocServices.TrackResult to Kyle.Common.Contracts.TrackResult, since they should be the exact same class.     Hey Guys I am trying to remove all the relative image path slashes from a chunk of HTML that contains several other elements. For example <img src="../../../../images/upload/1/test.jpg /> would need to become <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/website/images/upload/1/test.jpg" /> I was thinking of writing this as a rails helper, and just passing the entire block into the method, and make using Nokogiri or Hpricot to parse the HTML instead, but I don't really know.   • cpython: when PyDict_GetItem is called and when dict_subscript?

    I am reading cpython code for python 3k and I have noticed, that __missing__ is called only when dict_subscript is called, but not when PyDict_GetItem is used. What is the difference between those two methods and when each is called? If I pass an PyObject that is a subclass of dict and has __missing__ method, how can I force using it, since PyDict_GetItem doesn't do that.

  • Creating a Blog ruby on Rails - Problem Deleting Comments

    As I always type I am new to rails and programming in general so go easy. Thanks in advance. I have successfully followed the initial tutorial from Ryan Bates on how to build a weblog in 15 minutes. If you don't know this tutorial takes you through creating posts and allowing for comments on those post. It even introduces AJAX through the creating and displaying comments on the posts show.html.erb page. All works great. Here's the hiccup, when Ryan takes you though this tutorial he clears out the comments_controller and only shows the code for creating comments. I am trying to add back the ability to edit and destroy comments. Can't see to get it to work, keeps deleting the actual post not the comment (log shows that I keep sending DELETE request to PostsController).     Hi Friends, Is there any way to change the frame of the UIAlertView in iPhone or iPad. I tried changing the frame in the following delegate method- (void)willPresentAlertView:(UIAlertView *)alertView; but even then the width of the Alertview remained unchanged. And I think a small Alertview in iPad will not make sense. And I guess there must be a way to achieve it, at least in iPad. Thanks, krishnan.

  • Bluetooth connect to a RS232 adapter in android

    Hello All, I am trying to use the Bluetooth Chat sample API app that google provides to connect to a bluetooth RS232 adapter hooked up to another device. Here is the app for reference: http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/BluetoothChat/index.html And here is the spec sheet for the RS232 connector just for reference: http://serialio.com/download/Docs/BlueSnap-guide-4.77%5FCommands.pdf Well the problem is that when I go to connect to the device with: mmSocket.connect(); (BluetoothSocket::connect()) I always get an IOException error thrown by the connect method. When I do a toString on the exception I get "Service discovery failed". My question is mostly what are the cases that would cause an IOException to get thrown in the connect method? I know those are in the source somewhere but I don't know exactly how the java layer that you write apps in and the C/C++ layer that contains the actual stacks interface. I know that it uses the bluez bluetooth stack which is written in C/C++ but not sure how that ties into the java layer which is what I would think is throwing the exception. Any help on pointing me to where I can try to dissect this issue would be incredible. Also just to note I am able to pair with the RS232 adapter just fine but I am never able to actually connect.
