  • Exchange 2010 sends out spam.

    Hi. I have an Exchange Server 2010, that uses a smart host to send out mails. A day ago the owner of smart host contact us and told us that we send out spam. I have try different open relay test on the net and all of them come back saying that this server is secured and can not be used as relay server. But I can see in my Exchange Queue Viewer that it keeps coming in new messages. Here is an example of how it looks. Identity: mailserver\3874\13128 Subject: Olevererbart:: [email protected] Pfizer -75% now Internet Message ID: <[email protected]> From Address: <> Status: Ready Size (KB): 6 Message Source Name: DSN Source IP: 255.255.255.255 SCL: -1 Date Received: 2010-12-09 21:46:22 Expiration Time: 2010-12-11 21:46:22 Last Error: Queue ID: mailserver\3874 Recipients: [email protected] How can I secure our exchange server more, to stop this from happening? Could I have got an virus that hooks up to our exchange server and send mail throw that? As I can see the From Address is always <, is there someway that I can stop sending mails that don't have a from address that I describe? Pleas help

  • Hotmail mail delivery issue (spam)

    Hello, I am running a Postfix server in a dedicated server in a Linux environment (centOS 5.3) for a social networking web application and are experiencing deliverability issues with Hotmail (I can send mails to Gmail, Yahoo, Aol in inbox). I only send legit mails for registered users (notifications). I have SPF, DK and DKIM setup. I pass the Sender ID test when mailing to [email protected] but we have "X-Auth-Result : None" only in Hotmail headers and no X-SID-Result:Pass. We have been enrolled in their program for more than 2 weeks and normally when you apply to their Sender ID program you are supposed to have X-SID-Result:Pass and X-Auth-Result:Pass. I contacted Hotmail about the issue and they told me that my domain looks like added to Sender ID in their system this is beyond their support and asked me to contact my ISP. As you can imagine, my ISP has no clue about that either. I don't really know what could be wrong... Mails are currently filtered as spam and we would like to be able to have them landing in inbox.

  • PHPForm Data Generate PDF & Send to Email?

    I'm a beginner in PHP I was wondering if this is easy to do or if i'd have to outsource this to a programmer - Basically when a user fills in the PHP Form and submits it I need this to generate as a PDF (with all the labels etc) which will then email/attach to MY email and NOT the user who submitted this form. I have looked at tcpdf, fpdi but i dont think any of those scripts allow me to do this specifically as from what i heard it generates a download link for the user, and that is not what i need. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Regards Tom

Basically, whenever I try to send an email with BCCs via SMTP the BCC addresses are not hidden - I've read the whole RFC for the SMTP protocol (a couple years ago) and I don't think I'm missing anything. The strange thing is, if I send an email with BCCs using the built-in mail() function everything works just right and I've no idea why - I would like to roll my own email sender but I fail to understand this. Can someone please shed some light into this dark subject?

  • How do I format a String in an email so Outlook will print the line breaks?

    I'm trying to send an email in Java but when I read the body of the email in Outlook, it's gotten rid of all my linebreaks. I'm putting \n at the ends of the lines but is there something special I need to do other than that? The receivers are always going to be using Outlook. I found a page on microsoft.com that says there's a 'Remove line breaks' "feature" in Outlook so does this mean there's no solution to get around that other than un-checking that setting? Thanks

    I have gotten awesome advice from users on here for getting Exchange on Windows SBS 2008 set up. I think this is the final piece and I'm ready for roll-out! I need to set up Exchange so that it RECEIVES mail from our existing mail server as a Forward [aliases on the existing mail server to forward mail from [email protected] to [email protected]] (not using the POP3 Connector), and SENDS mail through that server as well (sends from [email protected] to [email protected] and then out to the world, showing in the headers as from [email protected] or at absolute least have the reply-to set as this). Alternatively, as long as the .net email address doesn't show in the From and replies are directed to the .com account, email can go from Exchange to the outside world without directing through the existing mail server. External Domain: domain.com Internal Domain: domain.local Internet Domain Name Set in SBS Console: domain.net When I go to http://remote.domain.net I get the Remote Web Workspace, and can login to both Sharepoint and OWA. I can send an email from OWA to a GMail account. I receive it from [email protected], which is an alias of [email protected]. I cannot, however, send an email from OWA to ANY domain.com email addresses. I am also not receiving any email to this Exchange account (except for NDRs). When I try sending an email to a domain.com account, here is the error (I had to replace all < and with { and }): Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: [email protected] The recipient's e-mail address was not found in the recipient's e-mail system.   • Wife's Email going into Junk Mail folder in Outlook despite turning off Junk Mail

    I recently started a new job. Today I tried emailing my wife from my new company email account. When she responded, her email went into the "Junk E-mail" folder. So I tried a few things: Added her to the "Safe Senders" list Added her as an Outlook contact and checked the "Also trust email from my Contacts" box in the "Safe Senders" tab Added her domain to the "Safe Senders" list Switched from "Low" to "No Automatic Filtering" in the Junk Email options No matter what I would do, her emails would still go into the Junk Email folder. Can anyone recommend additional things to try? EDIT: This is using Exchange.

  • Issue with user having a gmail account and Google Apps account using same email/username

    Greetings! We have a user in our organization that had been using her email address at our domain at her username for gmail.com We recently moved our folks on to Google Apps, and have just moved our email server over to Google (IMAP/SMTP). I'm having all kinds of trouble only with this user's account with her sending and receiving email via the new Google mail server and wondering if it's because of her existing Gmail account. So her email address with us is [email protected], which is her login/user id with us on our Google Apps site. She still has her gmail identity tied to that same [email protected]. She's ok with deleting her old Gmail account...if I do so however will it goof things up for her going forward with us on the Google Apps site? Will she not be able to receive email? Thanks! Joshua
