  • Jquery hide is not working in my Dialog box close span

    $('.ui-dialog-titlebar-close ui-corner-all').hide(); this is the hide for my Jquery dialog close 'X' span.. this is not working in my case. I am trying to hide that Close becuase its not showing me in my dialog when I resize my dialog then its showing me.. some reason my CSS not showing me that Close button correctly on my POPUP. Assigning the data: var course_li = sprintf('<li class="draggable course">%s</li>', course["fields"]["name"]); $(course_li).data('pk', course['pk']); alert(course['pk']); // shows a correct value Moving the li to a different ul: function moveToTerm(item, term) { item.fadeOut(function() { item.appendTo(term).fadeIn(); }); } Trying to access the data later: $.each($(term).children(".course"), function(index, course) { var pk = $(course).data('pk'); // pk is undefined courses.push(pk); }); What am I doing wrong? I have confirmed that the course li on which I am setting the data is the same as the one on which I am looking for it. (Unless I'm messing that up by calling appendTo() on it?)

  • run a function when a user clicks on any list element

    This is probably a very common question, but I was unable to find an answer myself; All my list elements call the function setQuery like this onClick="admin_stats.setQuery(this);" rather than [hardcode] add this to every list element, is there a way to simply have it run when a list element is clicked? I'm not very familiar with jQuery Live or binding/unbinding, but I think they would play a role here? Before I reinvent a rather square-looking wheel I thought I might ask =)

I've looked through the entire output and there are NO references to http: I've searched for unsource Iframes, which cause this message, and there are none and other than jquery 1.4 there isn't even the text "iframe" in the source. Let say it currently has 10 rows, the height of the jqGrid will shrink to 10 rows (so that no gaping empty rows is exposed). If however there are too many rows, the height of the grid will expand to a maximum 'height' value and a scroll bar will appear.

  • "document.body is null" is fixed now I get ".setStyle is not a function"

    Hi All, I'm running into a similar problem as this: link text I've done the fix as in the answer but now I end up with an error a couple lines later: $$([overlay = (new Element("div", {id: "mbOverlay"})).addEvent("click", close), center = new Element("div", {id: "mbCenter"})]).setStyle is not a function [Break on this error] ]).setStyle("display", "none") It's on this page: link text When you click on 'showreel' it should pop up into the media box, but instead it just goes to a new page.   • How can I close a SimpleModal dialog when the user clicks the Back button?

    When a user clicks on a button or link, I use the SimpleModal jQuery plugin to display a dialog to overlay the entire page, preventing the user from clicking another button or link during the delay before the next page loads. (I'd like to avoid this, but that's an issue for another day.) After the next page displays, if the user clicks the Back button, the previous page still has the SimpleModal overlay displayed, preventing them from using the page. This is a problem. How can I cause the SimpleModal dialog to close automatically either when the leaves the page or when the user clicks the Back button to return to the page? I tried this without success: $("body").unload(function() { $.modal.close(); }); Thanks! Wally

    I am constructing an <li> element like this: var element = $("<li></li>") .html(mHTML) .attr('id', "elemid"); I am trying to add this element to a <ul> element only if it doesn't already exist. Any ideas on how to do this? Am I supposed to use contains() to see if the ul element contain the html and then decide? For instance, <ul id="elemul"> <li id="elemli1">Element 1</li> <li id="elemli2">Element 2</li> <li id="elemli3">Element 3</li> </ul> If I try adding Element 1, it should not add it. What should I do if its a longer string (not really long but about 150 characters). Do I go about using hashmaps?

    I'm working on dropdowns in IE6 (SELECT with OPTIONs as children). I'm experiencing the problem where, in IE6, dropdown menus are truncated to the width of the SELECT element. In other browsers, blur causes every OPTION to not be highlighted. Using JS, how can I de-highlight an option after the dropdown has lost focus.

    Hello, I have a website with design mode on (aka. content editable = true) with some basic text on it. To that site I hooked up a shortcut so that at any point in the text I can insert an input box that serves me as an autocomplete. For that input however I want it to disappear right after I hit ENTER so that I can continue typing. It is an easy task to just make the input box disappear but I always loose focus from my document. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to make this work?
