  Registration is now open for the Architect Day events in Dallas TX (5/13), Redwood Shores CA (5/18), and  Anaheim CA (5/19). These events are free and offer a full slate of presentations and discussions covering a broad range of topics of interest to architects. The agenda for each location includes guest keynotes by members of the Oracle ACE community, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and  roundtable discussions in which all attendees get a chance share their insight and expertise. All that, and you get a free lunch plus an end of day reception. What’s not to like? Seating for these free events is limited, so if you snooze, you lose. I’ll be at the Dallas event.   The next Kansas City SQL Saturday is coming up on August 4th.  We’ll have the usual SQL Saturday goodness: lots of technical sessions, great networking events and a fantastic speaker dinner.  And we’ll have the Third Annual Kansas City SQL Saturday BBQ Crawl.  On Friday afternoon we’ll visit a few BBQ places in town.  We tend to order big sampler plates and just share everything around.  It’s a great way to try a variety of styles.  This year we’ll be hitting an all new selection of BBQ joints. You don’t need to be a speaker to attend.  However the call for speakers is open until June 28th (hint, hint).  Locals and out-of-towners are all welcome. If you’re interested in attending send me an email and I’ll get you added to the list. We finish in plenty of time to get you to the speaker dinner – as if you could eat any more.

  My concern is about SEO. Now let me explain the scenario. I am making a 3 languages website. The development is alright, but I was targeting local customers with one domain, and international (english version) with another. Eg: Local http://www.minhalojadesapatos.com.br (this is not the real website, just example!) Other http://www.myshoesstore.com.br Both domain point to exactly the same hosting and content, but when user comes through local domain, default language is set to portuguese, otherwise, default is english. Language handling on backend uses PHP Sessions and cookies, so with just a click users can change content language. How to avoid being SEO-penalised in this context? (yeah, I was hungry when focusing market for choosing two domains but the activity really needs that, it is a travel agency).
