• FAVICON: Favicon not showing up

  I'm using a .png favicon file and it is not showing up on my site. Doing a grep, I see the following in home.htm which looks right for me(I have also confirmed it's in the HEAD section within home.htm): home.htm: <link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/png" href="favicon.png"> The favicon.png file is in the same directory as the home.html file.   I set up a maintenance page that I could enable through an htaccess file. The html file is located in a folder called "maintenance". The html file has some images in it. However, visitors to the page see no images, even though I added a line to allow them. If I try to visit an image in the browser directly, it redirects to the maintenance.htm page. • How do I get TV out working on an ATI X800 GTO²?

  Is there any way to make my graphics card (ATI x800) work with tvout? I know there are no proprietary drivers for this card only the opensource ones. It uses this cable for video out: http://warningdang.dynalias.com/magento/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/265x265/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/a/3/a31b_1.jpg Personally I use the yellow RCA for tvout (in windows). • Blender Object Appearing Gray when all Lights are Off

  I have an issue with Blender where, when I turn my only light off (a sun lamp) and render the image my object appears gray rather than black (and thus, not appear to the camera). I can't figure out why this is happening. Here's what I just did in my scene: Added a new UV Sphere mesh (to make a total of two spheres), made it visible to the camera, turned off the sun lamp (by setting energy to 0), and rendered. The result I obtained is below. I discovered this when attempting to render the first sphere with a material/texture on it and it was too bright. The material on the spheres (which are different) are very basic, there's no emit, diffuse and specular are at default values. Could there be an issue with the way my camera is setup? • HTML Javascript Hidden Object or Photo Hunt Game

  Is anyone aware of any example photo hunt/hidden object games either in HTML and Javascript or flash if necessary? I am having trouble finding one, I may be using the wrong words to search. Photo hunt being like the wheres wally/waldo books where you look for wally in a complex image until you find him. So if it were played on screen you would press the location of wally and it would either be correct or wrong, possibly timed. I am hoping to find one where you can just load in your own photos and specify some co-ordinates that match where the hidden object is. A spot the difference example may be useful as a starting point but I haven't found an example of either that is web based yet.

  This interesting bug (feature?) in the original Pac-Man game makes it easy to hide from the ghosts, ensuring a long-lived and well-fed Pac-Man. Check out the video above to see the black hole you can park Pac-Man in to avoid assault by the ghosts. There’s two big caveats with this trick: first, it only works in the original game (spin offs and modern adaptations won’t necessarily have it but the original machine and MAME implementations of it will). • "isolinux.bin is missing or corrupt", when attempting to boot using disk in USB CD DRIVE

  I have an external CD drive which connects to USB. I burned 11.10 Ubuntu image to CD-R. The disk correctly shows me install page when I autoload disk within Windows 7. When I restart to attempt to boot from disk to install Ubuntu I get the following error for a split second before I continues to boot to Windows. "isolinux.bin is missing or corrupt". Clearly my computer knows that this is a Linux disk in the usb cd-drive...What went wrong? edit: I reburned another disk, same error

You can research the historical usage as well as real time data. This post will show how you can benefit from OS Analytics and how it works behind the scenes. The recording of our call to discuss this blog is available here: https://oracleconferencing.webex.com/oracleconferencing/ldr.php?AT=pb&SP=MC&rID=71517797&rKey=4ec9d4a3508564b3Download the presentation here See also: Blog about Alert Monitoring and Problem Notification Blog about Using Operational Profiles to Install Packages and other content Here is quick summary of what you can do with OS Analytics in Ops Center: View historical charts and real time value of CPU, memory, network and disk utilization Find the top CPU and Memory processes in real time or at a certain historical day Determine proper monitoring thresholds based on historical data Drill down into a process details Where to start To start with OS Analytics, choose the OS asset in the tree and click the Analytics tab. You can see the CPU utilization, Memory utilization and Network utilization, along with the current real time top 5 processes in each category (click the image to see a larger version):  In the above screen, you can click each of the top 5 processes to see a more detailed view of that process. Here is an example of one of the processes: One of the cool things is that you can see the process tree for this process along with some port binding and open file descriptors. Next, click the "Processes" tab to see real time information of all the processes on the machine: An interesting column is the "Target" column. If you configured Ops Center to work with Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, then the two products will talk to each other and Ops Center will display the correlated target from Cloud Control in this table. If you are only using Ops Center - this column will remain empty. The "Threshold" tab is particularly helpful - you can view historical trends of different monitored values and based on the graph - determine what the monitoring values should be: You can ask Ops Center to suggest monitoring levels based on the historical values or you can set your own. The different colors in the graph represent the current set levels: Red for critical, Yellow for warning and Blue for Information, allowing you to quickly see how they're positioned against real data. It's important to note that when looking at longer periods, Ops Center smooths out the data and uses averages. So when looking at values such as CPU Usage, try shorter time frames which are more detailed, such as one hour or one day. Applying new monitoring values When first applying new values to monitored attributes - a popup will come up asking if it's OK to get you out of the current Monitoring Policy. This is OK if you want to either have custom monitoring for a specific machine, or if you want to use this current machine as a "Gold image" and extract a Monitoring Policy from it. You can later apply the new Monitoring Policy to other machines and also set it as a default Monitoring Profile. Once you're done with applying the different monitoring values, you can review and change them in the "Monitoring" tab. You can also click the "Extract a Monitoring Policy" in the actions pane on the right to save all the new values to a new Monitoring Policy, which can then be found under "Plan Management" -> "Monitoring Policies". Visiting the past Under the "History" tab you can "go back in time". This is very helpful when you know that a machine was busy a few hours ago (perhaps in the middle of the night?), but you were not around to take a look at it in real time. Here's a view into yesterday's data on one of the machines: You can see an interesting CPU spike happening at around 3:30 am along with some memory use. In the bottom table you can see the top 5 CPU and Memory consumers at the requested time. Very quickly you can see that this spike is related to the Solaris 11 IPS repository synchronization process using the "pkgrecv" command. The "time machine" doesn't stop here - you can also view historical data to determine which of the zones was the busiest at a given time: Under the hood The data collected is stored on each of the agents under /var/opt/sun/xvm/analytics/historical/ An "os.zip" file exists for the main OS. Inside you will find many small text files, named after the Epoch time stamp in which they were taken If you have any zones, there will be a file called "guests.zip" containing the same small files for all the zones, as well as a folder with the name of the zone along with "os.zip" in it If this is the Enterprise Controller or the Proxy Controller, you will have folders called "proxy" and "sat" in which you will find the "os.zip" for that controller The actual script collecting the data can be viewed for debugging purposes as well: On Linux, the location is: /opt/sun/xvmoc/private/os_analytics/collect If you would like to redirect all the standard error into a file for debugging, touch the following file and the output will go into it: # touch /tmp/.collect.stderr   The temporary data is collected under /var/opt/sun/xvm/analytics/.collectdb until it is zipped. If you would like to review the properties for the Analytics, you can view those per each agent in /opt/sun/n1gc/lib/XVM.properties.   I had made a 2d tower defense game in unity3d. Done all the pathfinder, tower upgrading, cash stuff. Now the dynamics. Can one help me in making the dynamics of the paint tower.. Please remember as its a 2d game so I am working on spritesheets. This tower is more like the poison tower in fieldrunners. Fow now I have only one image which follows the enemy but it remains the same. But in fieldrunners it's more realistic -- it changes its direction when the enemies are on different angles.

  Long story short: we use Flash as a partial GUI in our .NET desktop applications. Normally, this means that the Flash player control sits in some WinForm, playing a movie file. Changes in the real world are presented in the movie (e.g., a light-bulb turned on in the real world? a matching one will light up inside the Flash movie), and interaction with the instances in the movie will affect the real world (clicked the light-bulb? the light bulb in the real world will turn on). My question is: which technologies / products can offer me similar capabilities? Of course, I'm looking for something that can compete with Flash / Silverlight: animations, object-oriented scripting and design, powerful tools allowing the artists to design symbols conveniently, etc... static image objects won't cut it

• DVI+HDMI out, at startup only HDMI is available

  I have my computer next to my hdtv. The main screen is connected via DVI while the tv is connected via HDMI. If I start the computer without the HDMI plugged in, everything is ok: I see the login screen and sound is output through analog out. But if the HDMI is plugged in before I start the computer, only the tv gets an image (the login screen), the main screen is black or at some times purple, but even after login the main screen is black. Also sound is still output through analog out. Not sure whether it's a hw issue, or an Ubuntu issue, or a combined hardware/Ubuntu compatibility issue (Sandy Bridge). This is my setup: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot (64bit) ASUS P8H67-M LE Intel Core i3-2100 I don't have any custom video settings, my main screen is recognized properly when HDMI is not plugged in at startup. One of them contains "images" tags after using the http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap-image/1.1 schema declaration. When submitting this sitemap index to Yahoo explorer, I get error: ERROR: FF_30000 “Not an accepted feed format file. Please consult the documentaiton for supported file formats.” Any ideas? Joel
