• Dynamic path in new.AjaxRequest with Rails

  Hello, I was wondering if there's anyway to get a 'dynamic path' into a .js file through Ruby on Rails. For example, I have the following: new Ajax.Request('/tokens/destroy/' + GRID_ID, {asynchronous:true, evalScripts:true, onComplete:function(request){load('26', 'table1', request.responseText)}, parameters:'token=' + dsrc.id + '&authenticity_token=' + encodeURIComponent(AUTH_TOKEN)}) The main URL is '/tokens/destroy/:id', however on my production server this app runs as a sub folder. So the URL for this ajax call needs to be '/qrpsdrail/tokens/destroy/:id' The URL this is being called from would be /grids/1 or /qrpsdrail/grids/1 I could, of course, do ../../path -- but that seems a bit hackish. It is also dependent on the routing never changing, which at this stage I can't guarantee. I'm just interested in seeing what other solutions there might be to this problem. Thanks in advance :)

The problem is that I don't know the ID and I have some problems with these DIVs if I try to display them more that once. So, the idea is to modify the DIV id each time I'd like to display them.   I have a collection of objects and I know that I can sort by NAME (string type) by saying collEquipment.Sort((x, y) = string.Compare(x.ItemName, y.ItemName)); that WORKS. But I want to sort by a ID (integer type) and there is no such thing as Int32.Compare So how do I do this? This doesnt work collEquipment.Sort((x, y) = (x.ID < y.ID); //error I know the answer is going to be really simple. Lambda expressions confuse me.

• Cannont Update control in WPF custom control

  I have created a custom control which holds a button in it. The button is styled, so as to hold a grid with two rows, an image in the first and a TextBlock in the second. I have written an Event Handler for the custom control. When the mouse enters the path of the object the MouseEnter event fires, where I try to change the TextBlock's FontSize and Foreground color, however the control does not update. In contrast, I have tried to modify an regular TextBlock's(not part a custom control and controltemplate) properties, and they update correctly, on the fly. What am I missing here?? Here is the code for the event handler: private void ThemeButton_MouseEnter(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { InitializeProperties(); TextElement.FontSize = 16; TextElement.Text = "new text"; TextElement.Foreground = Brushes.Red; TextBlock element = MainWindow.FindChild<TextBlock>(MainWindow.StartWindow, "textField"); element.Text = "new text for regular textblock"; element.Foreground = Brushes.Red; } InitializeProperties is a methid that initializes TextElement(typeof TextBlock) and ImageElement(typeof Image) properties. • Why am I unable to send an attachment with Outlook via SMTP that I am able to send via Gmail / Google Apps?

  I have Google Apps installed and I have tried to set up Outlook 2007 to send messages via SMTP. I followed the guide, selecting what I believe are all the correct settings. Yes, I am using POP for incoming, that is intentional but I don't believe it should affect outgoing messages. When I log into gmail (google apps) for my company, I can send a message that has an 8MB attachment (pdf file, not zipped or anything) and it sends fine. However, when I send the same message in Outlook with that same 8mb attachment it fails. Why am I unable to send an attachment with Outlook via SMTP that I am able to send via Gmail / Google Apps? • Click behaviour - Difference in IE and FF ?!

  Hey folks, i just came to the conclusion that a project i am currently working on might have a "logical" error in functionality. Currently I'am using server technology with PHP/MySQL and JQuery. Within the page there's a normal link reference with tag <a href="contentpage?page=xxx">next step</a> The pain point now seems to be the given jquery click event on the same element. The intension was to save the (current) content of the page (- form elements) via another php script using the php session command. For any reason, IE can handle the click event of Jquery right before executing the standard html command, that reloads the current page again with the new page parameter. By using FF the behaviour is different. I assume, that FF first execute the html command and afterwards execute the javascript code which handles the click event. Therefore the resultset here is wrong respectivly empty. My question now is whether you made the same experience and how you handled / wordarrounded this problem. I'd be thankful fur any of your tips or further feedback. Maybe you also have a solution on how to rethink about the current architecture. Regards, Oliver

  I was wondering if there's a drawback (other than bad practice) to using something like this SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE id LIKE '1'; where id is an integer. I know you're supposed to use id=1 but I am writing a java program and if everything can use LIKE it'll be a lot easier for me. Also, so far, everything works fine; I get the correct query results, so if there is no drawback I will continue doing it like this. edit: I am using MySQL.

I even tried to override the configuration in regular plugin sections of my POM (I mean, not for a specific profile but for my whole POM). What could be the problem ? To clarify some of my requirements : I don't want to get rid of the parent POM and the profile (wls7) defined inside it (since I need many and many properties, configurations, ...) and that is not the process in my company. A solution based on duplicating the parent POM and/or the profile defined inside it is not a good one. Since if the responsible of the parent POM change something, I would have to report it in mine. It's just an inheritance matter (extend or override a profile, a configuration from an upper-level POM) so I think it should be possible with maven2.

• Link Button on asp.net user control not firing

  Hi I have a user control, which is added to another user control. The nested user control is built up of a gridview, an image button and a link button. The nested user control is added to the outer control as a collection object based upon the results bound to the gridview. The problem that I have is that my link button doesn't work. I click on it and the event doesn't fire. Even adding a break point was not reached. As the nested user control is added a number of times, I have set image button to have unique ids and also the link button. Whilst image button works correctly with its java script. The link button needs to fire an event in the code behind, but despite all my efforts, I can't make it work. I am adding the link button to the control dynamically.
