  • Post Loading ads from Google Admanager

    I have changed code around to basically load an add the bottom of the page in a hidden div and attached an onload event handler that called document.getElementById(xxx).appendChild() to take the hidden ad and move it into the right spot in my page. This works GREAT.. however when the ad is a text ad it AFTER i move the ad there is nothing in the rendered Iframe. I did tests to see what it looks like before i move it and sure enough the text links load in the IFRAME but the second i do the appendChild call to move the div that contains the ad i seem to loose the contents of the Iframe.     How do you nest quotes in HTML beyond the second level? As far as I know, there are only 2 types of quotes - single(') and double("). I am aware of escaping - you have to escape in the code but it converts the escaped quotes back to regular quotes when it hits the browser.     Good Day, I am creating a report with Reporting Services and am using several text boxes horizontally aligned next to each other. (919) 582-2914 Is this possible to right-pad the text box with periods, or would I need to roll out some code to accomplish the above effect.     Hi, I am using a dataset on the server, in this dataset I have a datatable that calls a stored procedure and returns column names from three tables. I call this stored procedure using a web service. I manage to show all the column names in my combobox but when I want to click a button and insert selected column name into a richtextbox I get System.Data.DataRowView in the textbox instead.   • Where to store site settings: DB? XML? CONFIG? CLASS FILES?

    I am re-building a news portal of which already have a large number of visits every day. One of the major concerns when re-building this site was to maximize performance and speed. Having said this, we have done many things from caching, to all sort of other measures to ensure speed. Now towards the end of the project, I am having a dilemma of where to store my site settings that would least affect performance. The site settings will include things such as: Domain, DefaultImgPath, Google Analytics code, default emails of editors as well as more dynamic design/display feature settings such as the background color of specific DIVs and default color for links etc.. As far as I know, I have 4 choices in storing all these info. Database: Storing general settings in the DB and caching them may be a solution however, I want to limit the access to the database for only necessary and essential functions of the project which generally are insert/update/delete news items, author articles etc.. XML: I can store these settings in an XML file but I have not done this sort of thing before so I don't know what kind of problems -if any- I might face in the future. CONFIG: I can also store these settings in web.config CLASS FILE: I can hard code all these settings in a SiteSettings class, but since the site admin himself will be able to edit these settings, It may not be the best solution. Currently, I am more close to choosing web.config but letting people fiddle with it too often is something I do not want. E.g. if somehow, I miss out a validation for something and it breaks the web.config, the whole site will go down. My concern basically is that, I cannot forsee any possible consequences of using any of the methods above (or is there any other?), I was hoping to get this question over to more experienced people out here who hopefully help make my decision.

    I need to get a string from URL request of brower, and then create a text image by requested text. I know the default encoding of the Java net transmission is "ISO-8859-1", it can works normally with all characters what defined in "ISO-8859-1". But when I request a multi-byte Unicode character (e.g. chinese or something like ¤?), then I need to decode it by "UTF-8" from "ISO-8859-1". My codes like: String reslut = new String(requestString.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"), "UTF-8"); Everything is fine, but I found some characters in ISO-8859-1 are not been shown now, which characters are 0x80 - 0xFF(defined in" ISO-8859-1"), i.e. the characters except 0x00-0x7F are not been shown when converted to "UTF-8" from "ISO-8859-1" Any other method can solve this query?

  • How to generate a report of IIS settings for easy perusal?

    Hello, I'm looking for a way to (hopefully) create a text file which lists all the settings in IIS for.. Virtual Directories Web sites Which framework is used on a certain website/directory directory of hosted files etc. Basically I want to do some investigation on some of our servers to figure out where certain projects are located, without digging through right clicking and looking for the directory name manually, etc, for every domain we host. The reasoning is that I often need to find access to files/projects I haven't worked on before, but historically, we don't have a strong naming scheme, so you can't just look where something "logically" would be - so, generating a list would be very helpful. Something like this would be awesome, but I'm looking for any tips at all Domainname1.com framework: ASP.NET 1.1 directory: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\domainname1.com Applications hosted at this domain: etc, etc. Plain text, XLS, XML.. anything other than right clicking through the whole list!     I had to make an array with as indexes A-Z (the alphabet). Each index had to have a value 0. So i made this array: $alfabet = array( 'A' => 0, 'B' => 0, 'C' => 0, 'D' => 0, 'E' => 0, 'F' => 0, 'G' => 0, 'H' => 0, 'I' => 0, 'J' => 0, 'K' => 0, 'L' => 0, 'M' => 0, 'N' => 0, 'O' => 0, 'P' => 0, 'Q' => 0, 'R' => 0, 'S' => 0, 'T' => 0, 'U' => 0, 'V' => 0, 'W' => 0, 'X' => 0, 'Y' => 0, 'Z' => 0 ); I also have got text from a file ($text = file_get_contents('tekst15.txt');) I have putted the chars in that file to an array: $textChars = str_split ($text); and sorted it from A-Z: sort($textChars); What i want is that (with a for loop) when he finds an A in the textChars array, the value of the other array with index A, goes up by one (so like: $alfabet[A]++; Can anyone help me with this loop? I have this atm: for($i = 0; $i <= count($textChars); $i++){ while($textChars[$i] == $alfabet[A]){ $alfabet[A]++; } } echo $alfabet[A]; Problem 1: i want to loop the alfabet array to, so now i only check for A but i want to check all indexes. I've stumbled upon Operational Transformation, which seems to fit my needs. Having said that, I understand the gist of OT, but not the math nor implementation of OT. Thus, I was wondering if there was a drag'n'drop Javascript library that would hook into a text area, generate the transforms, then allow me to apply those transformations onto another client? (I've gotten the Etherpad source, but I can't make head or tails out of it. If anyone could point out how to leverage on Etherpad's OT implementation, that'll be great too!)

    I've noticed that MySql has an extensive search capacity, allowing both wildcards and regular expressions. However, I'm in somewhat in a bind since I'm trying to extract multiple values from a single string in my select query. For example, if I had the text "<span>Test</span> this <span>query</span>", perhaps using regular expressions I could find and extract values "Test" or "query", but in my case, I have potentially n such strings to extract. And since I can't define n columns in my select statement, that means I'm stuck. Is there anyway I could have a list of values (ideally separated by commas) of any text contained with span tags? In other words, if I ran this query, I would get "Test,query" as the value of spanlist: select <insert logic here> as spanlist from HtmlPages ...

  • Auto-complete/suggestion popup menu in GtkTextView

    I'm trying to create a system that will allow me to respond to the current text and auto-complete/suggest what should come next. For example if the user starts to type "Batm" then the system would respond with a menu showing the full completed word "Batman". Think of an IDE like Eclipse or Visual Studio and you get the idea. I understand how to create a popup menu in Gtk+ but what I don't understand is the following: How do I grab the word that the user is currently typing from a GtkTextView (or SourceView) so that I can do a lookup and offer suggestions? How do I position the menu in such a way that it sits next to the current text item (like it would in an IDE)? If anyone could offer suggestions or even a link to a tutorial or example on how to do this correctly I would be forever grateful. As always thanks for you help! Programming language: C

    I currently have the following highchart which display a start date and outputs the values for the next 31 days of data. Does anyone know how I may improve on this to include and end date so that I can filter the data by smaller specific amounts?   • Storing unique ID in UITableViewCell

    I have a table where there will often be two cells with the same title. I'm zooming in on a map whenever a cell in the table is clicked, so using the title as a unique identifier is out of the question. I already have a unique identifier, but I need to find a way to store it in a UITableViewCell object. I have been considering two options, both of which are poor, IMO. 1) store the unique ID as the text inside the text of the detailTextLabel property. 2) build a custom UITableViewCell class. I'm new to objective C, and I would essentially like to know if theres a third option that isnt as inefficient as #1, but not as involved as #2. Thanks

    Hi all, i've a strange problem with maven and android I've 3 maven project and 2 normal java maven project divided in this manner : normal project : model project ... packaged as jar ... contains java Pojo Bean and Interface. Dao Project ... packaged as jar ... contains Db Logic - Depend on model Project Android Application Maven project ContentProvider ... packaged as apk ... contains ContentProviders only. Depends on Dao Project Editors ... packaged as apk ... contains only Editor, Depends on Dao project MainApp ... packaged as apk ... contains MyApp, Depends on DAO ... The Problem is that if i modify DAO Project , Then do a maven clean and maven install of all apk project, then run as Android Application within Eclipse, i don't see updated app on my Emulator. Nicely if i shut down my ubuntu workstation and restart it i can see The updated app on my Emulator. Do you know a solution for this issue ? thanks and regards

  • Reading a file used by another process

    I know this has been up for discussion but I can't find an answer to my specific problem. I am monitoring a text file that is being written to by a server program. Every time the file is changed the content will be outputted to a window in my program. The problem is of course, that I can't use the Streamreader on the file as it is being "used by another process". Also setting up a Filestream with ReadWrite won't do any good since I cannot control the process that is using the file. However... You CAN open the file in notepad, so somehow it must be possible to access it even though the server is using it. Is there a good way around this? Should I monitor the file, make a temp copy of it when it changes, read the temp copy and the delete the temp copy. I need to get hold of the text in the file whenever the server changes it.

    Hi guys, I'm revisiting this after a few weeks, because I could never get it to work before, and hoping to now. Please look at this website-notice the newsletter signup form at the top right. http://www.rattletree.com I am wanting it to look exactly this way for now, but when the user clicks in the box to enter their email address, the containing div will expand (or simply appear) above the email field to also include a "name" and "city" field. I'm using jquery liberally in the sight, so that is at my disposal. This form is in the header so any id info, etc can't be withing the body tag...
