  Hey, I'm looking at the nhibernate interceptor. It seems to be able to intercept save, update and delete queries but is there anyway I can intercept a select query. The problem I have is that I automatically want to append some additional sql filters to the executing sql statement in certain cases. Any thoughts Thanks Mat

• Python 2.6 + PIL + Google App Engine issue

  I am using OS X 1.6 snow leopard and I successfully got PIL installed. I am able to open terminal and type import Image without any errors. However, When using app engine I get Image error still saying that PIL is not installed. I am wondering if any of you have an thoughts as to how I can resolve this issue. -Matthew

  I am trying to think of an elegant way of getting a random subset from a set in F# Any thoughts on this? Perhaps this would work: say we have a set of 2x elements and we need to pick a subset of y elements. Then if we could generate an x sized bit random number that contains exactly y 2n powers we effectively have a random mask with y holes in it. We could keep generating new random numbers until we get the first one satisfying this constraint but is there a better way?

  I have a file that looks something like this: ABC DEF GHI I have a shell variable that looks something like this: var="MRD" What I want to do, is to make my file look like this: ABC MRD DEF GHI I was trying to do this: sed -i -e 's/ABC/&$var/g' text.txt but it only inserts $var instead of the value. I also tried this: sed -i -e 's/ABC/&"$var"/g' text.txt but that didn't work either. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I tried something like: fileName <- "http://www.newcl.org/data/zipfiles/a1.zip" con1 <- unz(fileName, filename="a1.dat", open = "r") but I feel as if I'm a long way off. Any thoughts?

• Importing VMware drive into VirtualBox drive

  I have VMware on my Mac and it crashed. I am unable to access the files used by the VMware. So I downloaded VirtualBox and when I try to add the .vmwarevm file to VirtualBox it says that its unable to read that type. I wasn't sure if there was a way i can get to these files as they are extremely important. I can not shutdown or open my virtual state in VMware whatsoever. Thoughts?

• Can I rename Main.mxml?

  We have several Flash objects included in our project. We call each one a specific type of widget... For readability/debugging purposes I'd like to rename Main.mxml to something else. At first this seemed easy, as it would be just a setting in our maven configuration (we're using flex mojos to build our swf). However; changing the sourceFile from Main.mxml to MyWidget.mxml doesn't seem to do it. Any thoughts?

  Hi all, I'm aware of the Argotic framework for .Net that assists in the collation and management of Atom data, but does anybody know of a .Net application/framework that implements the Atom Publishing Protocol (APP)? Creating a .Net APP server from scratch seems a daunting task, even if it 'stands on the shoulders' of Argotic. Maybe a .Net rewrite of Apache Abdera (or other O/S implementation) would be easier.   I am writing a script to run under the korn shell on AIX. I'd like to use the mkdir command to create a directory. But the directory may already exist, in which case I don't want to do anything. So I want to either test to see that the directory doesn't exist, or suppress the "File exists" error that mkdir throws when it tries to create an existing directory. Any thoughts on how best to do this?

  ok I know that this should be simple... anyways say: line = "$W5M5A,100527,142500,730301c44892fd1c,2,686.5 4,333.96,0,0,28.6,123,75,-0.4,1.4*49" I want to strip out the spaces. I thought you would just do this line = line.strip() but now line is still '$W5M5A,100527,142500,730301c44892fd1c,2,686.5 4,333.96,0,0,28.6,123,75,-0.4,1.4*49' instead of '$W5M5A,100527,142500,730301c44892fd1c,2,686.54,333.96,0,0,28.6,123,75,-0.4,1.4*49' any thoughts?

• Product Kit does not save the selected products!

  Arg! When I save my product kit, with several product selected, I land on a blank product kit node (as in no sub products). The message confirms the update, however when I return to the node edit page the products are no longer selected, hence the blank kit node page. Thoughts on debugging this, or what might lead to it?
