  Hey, I'm wondering how one can do that. Afaik there is BeanFactoryPostProcessor interface that let us use BeanDefinitionRegistry.registerBeanDefinition() method before beans within context are initialized. That method accepts only a class / definition. But usually one needs to register a bean that is already set with properties. Otherwise the bean definition registration itself is kinda useless. I don't want to set it up additionally after I get it from context then. When using singleton it's ok, but for prototypes I'd have to set the bean up for each getBean() .

• GKSession sendDataToAllPeers including sender?

  I've got a number of devices connected over wifi using GameKit. I have a simple UIAlertView popping up when peers receive data. All but the sendee show this alert view when data is sent, so I'm wondering if that's a bug in my app or if that's expected behavior. If the device doing the sending is also a GKSessionModePeer, I would expect it to "fire" its receiveData: message as well since I'm sending to all peers. Should I call a method manually at the same on the sendee device? For example, if I wanted to send a "GameStart" packet to the 4 phones, the peers would call startGame: in the receiveData:fromPeer:inSession:context: method when it receives that packet and the sendee would be calling sendDataToAllPeers: and call startGame: on itself. Does that sound right or is there a way to include the sendee in the sendDataToAllPeers: list so that it responds exactly the same as all connected peers?

  I'm doing some specific signal analysis, and I am in need of a method that would smooth out a given bell-shaped distribution curve. A running average approach isn't producing the results I desire. I want to keep the min/max, and general shape of my fitted curve intact, but resolve the inconsistencies in sampling. In short: if given a set of data that models a simple quadratic curve, what statistical smoothing method would you recommend? If possible, please reference an implementation, library, or framework.   Hi. I am using ASP.NET 2.0 and its various providers. I have overridden most of the methods I need and have the following custom providers: ProjectMembershipProvider ProjectProfileProvider ProjectRoleProvider In the design of my project, my intention was to wrap the custom providers in a facade - style design - mixing and matching profiling, membership, and roles in API methods to simplify things for developers. But, I am finding that a lot of the methods in my custom providers don't need to change, really. And, it seems silly to wrap a stand-alone method in another method that does exactly the same thing. So - is my approach wrong? Or, should I allow end - users to instantiate the custom providers when needed and the mix/match api when needed? This seems a bit redundant to me but I can't see another way. Advice appreciated. Thanks.

  I'm tinkering with writing a simple text-based role-playing game. I would like to use WinForms, and utilize WinForm controls for the UI and simple text for the output. The catch is, I would like to have complete control over the formatting of the individual text - some words being different colors, etc. A simple console control would suffice, as that would provide control over text colors, but it would be nice to also be able to change style, font and size. Less important: it would be nice to have complete control over where text appears in the control through a coordinate system, as with DOS windows of old. I'd appreciate suggestions on the best method of implementing this. Perhaps there is a better method I had not considered for rendering the output of a text-based game.

(I created my own equals method based on the custom parameters to examine this) In each object of type x, I have a list of objects y. I want to add/remove/modify easily an object y. For example: To write the add method, it would be something like add(objTypeX, objTypeY) I would check or the collections already has a objTypeX. If so: i would add the objTypeY to the already existing objTypeX else: i would create objTypeX and add objTypeY to this object. To modify an objTypeY, it would be something like(objTypeX, objTypeY, newobjTypeY) I would get objTypeX out of the collections and modify objTypeY to newobjTypeY Which collections should I use? I tried with hashset but i can get a specific object out of the list, without run down the list till I find that object. I develop this in vb.net 3.5

  Hi, I have a method which returns an array of fixed type objects (let's say MyObject). The method creates a new empty Stack<MyObject>. Then, it does some work and pushes some number of MyObjects to the end of the Stack. Finally, it returns the Stack.ToArray(). It does not change already added items or their properties, nor remove them. The number of elements to add will cost performance. There is no need to sort/order the elements. Is Stack a best thing to use? Or must I switch to Collection or List to ensure better performance and/or lower memory cost?

I changed the code to this: NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Event" inManagedObjectContext:managedObjectContext]; NSManagedObject *newManagedObject = [NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:[entity name] inManagedObjectContext:managedObjectContext]; which works just as well and does not require access to the fetch request. Am I missing something here? Is there any good reason to use the fetched results controller in the insert method?

That's occurs only on setMainwindow method. So the questions is - why Core class method setMainwindow() is invisible in MainWindow class?

  in studying actionscript 3's graphics class, i've come across the undocumented drawRoundRectComplex() method. it's a variant of drawRoundRect() but with 8 parameters, the final four being the diameter of each corner (x, y, width, height, top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right). //example var sp:Sprite = new Sprite(); sp.graphics.lineStyle(1, 0x000000); sp.graphics.drawRoundRectComplex(0, 0, 100, 50, 10, 20, 0, 10); addChild(sp); this seems to be a pretty useful method, so i'm just curious if anyone knows of any reasons why adobe chose not to document it?

  Hi, I am trying to execute a SSIS 2008 package on a 64-bit OS and import Excel 2003 files to SQL Server 2008. I have created an OLEDB Connection to the Excel file with a Connection String that retrieves the Excel file from a variable, inside the ForEach Loop Container. The Run64BitRunTime is set to false. I am not able to edit the SQL Command on the OLEDB Source in the Data Flow task. It returns an error : Error 2 Validation error. Load List Staged Table: Load List Staged Table: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "List OLEDB to Excel" failed with error code 0xC0202009. There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed. 0 0 Appreciate any help.

  I use JSF managed beans calling EJB methods that are provide data from database. I want to use some data already on the welcome page of the application. What is the best solution for it? EJBs are injected into JSF managed beans and it looks like the injection is done after executing the constructor. So I am not able to call EJB methods in the constructor. The normal place for EJB call is in the JSF action methods but how to call such a method prior to loding the first page of the application? A possible solution would be to call the EJB method conditionally in a getter that is used on the welcome page, for example: public List getProductList(){ if (this.productList == null) this.productList = myEJB.getProductList(); return this.productList; } Is there any better solution?
