• How to set ActiveModel::Base.include_root_in_json to false?

  I'm using Rails 3 w/ Mongoid, (so no ActiveRecord). Mongoid uses ActiveModel's "to_json" method, and by default that method includes the root object in the JSON (which I don't want). I've tried putting this in an initializer: ActiveModel::Base.include_root_in_json = false But get the error uninitialized constant ActiveModel::Base Any ideas how I can change this? I changed the default directly in the source-code and it worked fine, but obviously I'd like to do it properly. The variable is defined at the top of this file: Github - activemodel/lib/active_model/serializers/json.rb From the docs: "The option ActiveModel::Base.include_root_in_json controls the top-level behavior of to_json. It is true by default."

• Custom CheckBox in WPF DataGrid does not update binding

  In my Visual Studio 2010 WPF application, I have the following (simplified) style: <Style x:Key="MyStyle" TargetType="{x:Type CheckBox}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Blue" /> </Style> If I use it as the ElementStyle AND EditingElementStyle in my DataGridCheckBoxColumn: <DataGridCheckBoxColumn Binding="{Binding IsEnabled}" ElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" /> Then my binding, IsEnabled, does not toggle when I check/uncheck a row's checkbox. If I remove either ElementStyle, EditingElementStyle, or both, then the binding updates no problem. Why is this?! Also, I tried to work around the problem using the following code: <DataGridTemplateColumn> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <CheckBox IsChecked="{Binding IsEnabled}" /> </DataTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn> However, the problem remains.

  I have a problem when try to add a SubReport to a report. I'm using Visual Studio 2010. I've two report and two DataSet, one of every report. I've created master-report (report1 with DataSet) and i've added a subreport (report2 with DataSet1). I've created this event in Form_Load: this.reportViewer1.LocalReport.SubreportProcessing += new SubreportProcessingEventHandler(MySubreportProcessingEventHandler); and this function: void MySubreportProcessingEventHandler(object sender,SubreportProcessingEventArgs e) { e.DataSources.Add(new ReportDataSource("parameter1", "parameter2")); } but i don't know what i've to write in parameter1 and parameter2. my DataSet are: DataSet with table A DataSet1 with table B Someone can help me?

• No attachable databases were found on the SQL Server

  I'm fumbling my way through a basic installation of TFS 2010... I see that the TFS_Configuration and Tfs_DefaultCollection databases were successfully created on my local machine. The installation seemed to go smoothly, but it looks like I need to configure a Team Project Collect before I can start using it. Yet, the wizard seems unable to locate the appropriate database that I expected should have been created during the setup process. The server name defaulted properly to the name of the local machine. Did I miss a step somewhere?

• iPhone Curl Left and Curl Right transitions

  I am looking for a way to do a UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp or UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlDown transition on the iPhone but instead of top to bottom, do it from the left to right (or top/bottom in landscape mode). I've seen this asked aroud the internet a few times but none sems to get an answer. However I feel this is doable. I have tried changing the View's transform and the view.layer's transform but that didn't affect the transition. Since the transition changes when the device changes orientation I presume there is a way to fool the device to use the landscape transition in portrait mode and vice versa?

• Extra blank page when converting HTML to PDF using abcPDF.

  I have an HTML report, with each print page contained by a <div class="page">. The page class is defined as width: 180mm; height: 250mm; page-break-after: always; background-position: centre top; background-image: url(Images/MainBanner.png); background-repeat: no-repeat; padding-top: 30mm; After making a few changes to my report content, when I call abcPDF to convert the report to PDF, suddenly I'm getting a blank page inserted after every real report page. I don't want to roll back the changes I've just made to remove this problem, so I'm hoping someone may know why the extra pages are being inserted.

  I have a UIView with a date picker that I'd like to display in an action sheet. If I comment the two middle lines of code and uncomment the top part to display a regular action sheet, it works fine. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

• Entity Framework 4 ste delete foreign key relationship

  I'm using EF4 and STE w/ Silverlight. I'm having trouble deleting child records from my primary entity. For some reason I can remove child entities if their foreign key to my primary entity is part of their Primary Key. But if it's not, they don't get removed. In IB in the nib file, I've added a view ahead of the table view and hooked it up to headerView - a UIView declared in the .h file. • Jquery Datepicker with XML file

  an extension of my last question, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2562986/getdate-with-jquery-datepicker , I am trying to use the jquery datepicker to load specific info from xml file dependent on the date selected by the user. Similar code but i am trying to load and parse an xml file to read contents of the file for the particular date. • Adding a NavigationBar to UITableViewController programmatically?

  I am trying to create a uitableviewcontroller as a modal viewcontroller to edit some settings. I am creating the tableviewcontroller in code and the thing i am struggling with currently is how to correctly add a navigation bar to the controller which will have a "Done" button on it that: a) doesnt appear on top of the tableview and b) does not scroll with the tableview?? This happens when i add the navbar to the contoller with: [self.view addSubview:navigationBar]; This adds a navbar to the controller which goes on top and obscures the tables first row and also scrolls with the view? I also thought about simply using a uiviewcontroller with a separate tableview however i like the funcitonality of automatically scrolling the tableview when editing a textfield that the tableviewcontroller gives you. Just cant figure how to setup this navbar?? thx

• How to ignore timezone of DateTime in .NET WCF client?

  WCF client is receiving a Date value from a Java web service where the date sent to the client in XML is : <sampleDate>2010-05-10+14:00</sampleDate> Now the WCF client receiving this date is in timezone (+08:00) and when the client deserialises the Date value it is converted into the following DateTime value : 2010-05-09 18:00 +08:00 However we would like to ignore the +14:00 being sent from the server so that the serialised Date value in the client is : 2010-05-10 Note that the +14:00 is not consistent and may be +10:00, +11:00 etc so it is not possible to use DateTime conversions on the client side to get the desired date value. How can this be easily achieved in WCF? Thanks in advance.

  Hi! Silverstripe is running on my since a few weeks. Recently, I get an Internal Server Error message when I try to access the admin area. Having a look in the server's error logs, I discovered following hint: [Mon Apr 05 12:15:26 2010] [error] [client ...] Premature end of script headers: main.php I already was refered to this site: What does the 'premature end of script headers' error mean?   I have two xaml files MainWindow.xaml and other user control WorkDetail.xaml file. MainWindow.xaml file has a textbox, button, listbox and reference to WorkDetail.xaml(user control which is collapsed). Whenever user enter any text, it gets added in listbox when the add button is clicked. When any items from the listbox is double clicked, the visibility of WorkDetail.xaml is set to Visible and it gets displayed. In WorkDetail.xaml (user control) it has textblock and button. The Textblock displays the text of selected item and close button sets the visibility of WorkDetail window to collapsed. Now i am trying to animate WorkDetail.xaml when it gets visible and collapse. When any items from listbox is double clicked and WorkDetail.xaml visibility is set to visible, i want to create an animation of moving WorkDetail.xaml window from right to left on MainWindow. When Close button from WorkDetail.xaml file is clicked and WorkDetail.xaml file is collapsed, i want to slide the WorkDetail.xaml file from left to right from MainWindow. • How do I create relative links for use in a sharepoint site template

  We are creating a site template that among other things has a Document library with MANY sub folders and a Link list that contains shortcut links to the depths of the DocLib. While making the Site template we are checking the box to 'Include Content.' We are using Sharepoint 2010. No MOSS. Our problem: Once we make a site from the template, the shortcut links don't work. While the first part of the link URL is rewritten, there is a portion of the original site name still buried in the URL. My Question: Is there a way to create a relative links to content inside of the site, so that the the site name isn't included? or is there a variable I can use to represent th current site? or do I have to programmatically 'fix-up' the links after it's created? or some other better option?

• ExtJs How do I scroll to the bottom of a grid?

  I am making a web-based logviewer using extjs. I would like new log-lines to be added to the bottom of my gridview as it saves cpu by not requiring a sort to move it to the top of the grid (plus its how my coworkers prefer it). My problem is that ideally the grid would scroll to the bottom after a new row is added. I have been looking through the documentation and I cannot figure out how to do this. I just see a method to scroll to the top. Any ideas? Thanks!

• Looking for search syntax documentation for SharePoint UserProfileManager.Search Method

  Greetings - I have a SharePoint 2010 server running with the User Profile service setup to synchronize to Active Directory. I'd like to use the UserProfileManager.Search() method to return user profiles based on specific criteria. MSDN documentation for this method is here. It states that the method will return user profiles that match the specified search pattern. This is exactly what I want. However, there is no documentation on what a valid search pattern is. I've made a few guesses like "Department = 'HR'" but haven't had any luck. I can't find any other documentation or sample code. Can anyone provide samples of valid "search patterns?" Another way to return user profiles is to do a query using the FullTextSqlQuery object. We don't yet have Search setup on this server so this isn't currently an option. Thanks, Greg
