  Hi, I'm using Spring 2.5 MVC and wan't to add another third-party Servlet. The Problem is, that Spring MVC catches all request, so the Servlet isn't getting any request. Here a web.xml Snippet: SpringMVC org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet 2 <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>SpringMVC</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> <servlet> This is the servlet needed for cache.type servlet, returns the packed resources PackServlet PackServlet net.sf.packtag.servlet.PackServlet PackServlet *.pack The /* mapping is really needed for the application, an pack:tag (the third-party Servlet) really need the mapping based on the file extension.   I am working on scheduling the tasks using Quartz API. I tried scheduling notepad.exe and in the logs, I see the following line - org.quartz.jobs.NativeJob runNativeCommand About to runcmd.exe /C c:/WINDOWS/notepad.exe ... But the notepad is not coming up. Same is the issue with any exe or batch file. I also see the notepad.exe as a running process in Task Manager. • How to set viewport meta for iPhone that handles rotation properly?

  So I've been using: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0;"/> to get my HTML content to display nicely on the iPhone. It works great until the user rotates the device into landscape mode, where the display remains constrained to 320px. Is there a simple way to specify a viewport that changes in response to the user changing the device orientation? Or must I resort to Javascript to handle that?

  I'm working on a homework assignment to modify code given by my professor using LightWeight Java Game Library. The problem is that I can't fully load the test code to begin testing modifications. I've linked against the jar file as it says to in the modifications, but I still have one lingering error.   Hi, I'm trying to pick up Svn.NET (http://www.pumacode.org/projects/svndotnet/) library for use in my Mono project. I tried compiling its mockapp - svnmockapp project (http://www.pumacode.org/projects/svndotnet/browser/trunk/SvnMockApp) , I am able to get the references right and get it compiled right. I understand that it references 2 other modules libapr (libapr-1.so.0) and svn_client (libsvn_client-1.so.0) , by which I've created PumaCode.SvnDotNet.dll.config in /bin/Debug . That is all I've done to tried to try to get the mockapp at least outputting something to show that it is indeed interfacing SVN. Nevertheless, it is not working.   Hey, I've downloaded the android source code for CallLog, Contacts, Dialing in this link http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/packages/apps/Contacts.git;a=tree But now, when I try to import this package on Eclipse, imports like: com.google, com.android.internal.Telephony, com.android.internal.R, com.google.android.collect, android.provider.ContactsContract.Intents.UI, android.provider.ContactsContract.SearchSnippetColumns, android.provider.ContactsContract.ProviderStatus, android.provider.ContactsContract.ContactCounts, android.content.IContentService, android.provider.ContactsContract.Intents.UI And many other imports, show errors saying it cannot be resolved. So my question is, why it shows this errors? Why I cant implement it without this errors? I use the Google APIs, I've created the project from an existing source code, but I dont know why this happens. Thanks.

  Having trouble getting the correct bounds for my iPad application when launching it in landscape mode. I have the proper keys set in my Info.plist file, and my view controllers launch properly in landscape (and portrait, natch). In my applicationDidFinishLaunching: method I'm calling a selector after a 3 second delay, and that method makes a call to [[UIScreen applicationFrame]`, but it's returning me a portrait frame (ie height width). Does anyone know how to fix this? It smells like a bug to me (if so I'll file a radar), but if it's intended behaviour, where is it documented?

BUILD FAILED (total time: 1 second) And then in the command prompt when I run asant run in the appropriate directory, I get: C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\nbproject\build-impl.xml:19: Class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.condition.Not doesn't support the nested "antversion" element. Do you know why this would be? Why won't netbeans deploy my application so I can run and test it?

• Eclipse: What is the minimum Eclipse installation needed for a headless PDE build?

  Hi, I am currently using PDE build in headless mode to build my OSGI Bundle project. The PDE Antrunner task uses an Eclipse installation and I am just pointing it to my local Eclipse installation. unfortunatelly my eclipse installation is about 260MB big, but I assume that a PDE build does NOT require all of those plugins in a standard eclipse installation. Does anyone now what is the minimum list of plugins I need for doing a headless PDE build? All of my dependencies I actually have in a custom target platform folder, so I guess the only thing I need from my eclipse installation are the dependencies which PDE build actually needs. But what are those? Can I shrink my installation to a very minimum? My goal is to also check-in this "build-eclipse" folder into my project's SVN so that when you check it out, you have everything you need to start a full build, without touching any build.properties. But I don't want to commit 266MB of eclipse if I maybe need only 20MB of it. Thanks Christoph

  Hello: I am designing a report that will be used in local mode (an RDLC file) in a Winform app. I have a custom assembly with a static class that has some functions that I want to use inside of the report (as expressions). I have found all sorts of help for doing this with RDL reports, but I'm running into a permissions problem with my RDLC report. I get the following error at runtime: "The report references the code module (my module), which is not a trusted assembly". I know that this is some kind of a code security issue, but I'm not sure what to do to fix it. The documentation that I have seen online is aimed at RDL reports, and it instructs me to edit a SQL Server-specific policy file. I'm using RDLC, so there is no sql server involved. What do I need to do to acquire the appropriate permissions?

• Why isn't Google Web Toolkit more popular?

  I've recently become intrigued with Google Web Toolkit and have started playing with it on some personal projects. I've noticed though that it doesn't seem to be very popular. For example, two major freelancing job boards (www.elance.com and www.odesk.com) list no jobs for GWT and the list of projects using it on Google's official site is pretty slim http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/app_gallery.html (compare to Django projects for example http://www.djangosites.org/). This seems odd to me as GWT has been around since 2006 and is supported by the Google brand name. It also neatly solves the problem of creating cross-browser completely dynamic websites that I haven't seen possible with any other tool. So, why the lack of acceptance?

  I have a very long running syncronization task that cannot be interrupted by the screen saver or aggressive power saving modes. I want to make a single api call to stop power save mode and then restore it once the task is done.   Background: I am working on a project written in a mix of C and Fortran 77 and now need to link the LAPACK/BLAS libraries to the project (all in a Linux environment). The LAPACK in question is version 3.2.1 (including BLAS) from netlib.org. The libraries were compiled using the top level Makefile (make lapacklib and make blaslib). Problem: During linking, error messages claimed that certain (not all) BLAS-routines called from LAPACK-routines were undefined. This gave me some headache but the problem was eventually solved when (in the Makefile) the order of appearance of the libraries to be linked was changed. Code: In the following, (a) gives errors while (b) does not. The linking is performed by (c). (a) LIBS = $(LAPACK)/blas_LINUX.a $(LAPACK)/lapack_LINUX.a (b) LIBS = $(LAPACK)/lapack_LINUX.a $(LAPACK)/blas_LINUX.a (c) gcc -Wall -O -o $@ project.o project.a $(LIBS) Question: What could be the reason for the undefined references of only some routines and what makes the order of appearance relevant?

• script running very slow in IE with Jquery quickflip plug-in

  I have a jQuery plugin running on my site that is executing very, very slowly in IE7/8 to the point that it throws a slow script warning to the user. It doesn't happen in any other browser, and I can't figure out what might be going on. If you go to this page: http://dev.xeetic.org/projects You'll see that there are 16 results on each page, and each one has a "flip" behavior attached, using the jQuery plugin "quickflip." Attaching this behavior is very slow in IE. If I reduce the result set to 8 or 4 per page, it's faster, but still very bogged down. I have contacted the author of the script with no success. I am willing to pay for a solution, if I'm allowed to offer such a thing on this site.

• How to get Webkit Browser DBus Bridge working?

  I've been struggling to get the Browser Dbus Binding working for Webkit/GTK (http://gitorious.org/webkitgtk/stable) port. I have been able to successfully compile the Webkit/GTK port as well as the DBus binding library on my Ubuntu Lucid Beta. I also installed the DBus binding library at the standard location /usr/local/lib. But now when I launch the Webkit/GTK browser and try to run one of the sample html files that are provided with DBus binding source, I get "Browser D-Bus Bridge not available, cannot run tests." Basically, JavaScript cannot find window.dbus object. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done here?

• External SWF to External SWF Timeline Communication, Flash, AS2

  Flash CS4, AS2 I have made an interactive tour. It can be seen here: http://www.92YTribeca.org/Tour click on the bottom image Each of the 4 sections are external swf and loaded on level 1. I want a button on one swf (floorplan) to load another swf (facility rentals) AND pinpoint a specific frame on the swf's timeline. I have tried many different ways, all end up loading the swf at the first frame and ignore the rest of the code talking about the timeline. I know I could split this swf up into more external swfs and get the result I want, but I would rather use code if I can. Is what I want to do possible? If so, how do I write the code? Thanks!
