• Cisco VPN Client Behind ASA 5505

  I'm trying to get connected to another ASA via Cisco VPN Client. I am behind an ASA 5505 myself and I am tryihng to VPN to a 5510. I get the message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding. I can connect to the other ASA if I use a normal cheap Linksys.   ...regardless of font size. Its an mx:Text object. (The Text object is actually being used as a mask so don't know if that's the problem.) If underline is set with the <u> tag in Text.htmlText, or Text.textField.setTextFormat, the underline thickness is always just one pixel which is not acceptable. (There are other problems with <u> so I'm limited to using setTextFormat currently.) Can the thickness of an underline be set through CSS? (textField.styleSheet, etc.) I may have another problem as I already use setTextFormat extensively, and the documentation says you can't use textField.setTextFormat if you use textField.setStyleSheet. I primarily need the underline to simulate correctly the look for an anchor tag.

  I have a machine that I need to bridge NFS files to. Can I mount an NFS directory on machine2 from machine1 and then mount the mounted NFS directory on machine2 on machine3 via NFS? Do you see any problems with that? I am basically bridging some subnet domains this way, in a certain fashion. My development machine is on a different and separate (unbridged) than where I would like to use the files, and I would like this machine1(dev machine) - machine2(passthrough machine) - machine3(test machine) connection. And no there is no way to move the test machine as it's a chassis :) and it's two buildings away.

And what are ways to take care of these problems? For example: Do a lot of people writing web crawlers often delete their cookies and mask their IPs, so that web crawlers often show up as different users each time they crawl the site? What are heuristics to use to recognize that something is a bot? (I'm guessing any sophisticated enough bot can be indistinguishable from a real user, if it wants to -- is this correct?)

  I'm trying to use core image on the iphone. I'm able to composite my colors using quartz to draw an uiview, but i want to separate each component into CALayer (UIview consume more resources). So i have a white mask i want to use to filter a background bitmap, and i want to try diffrent blending mode. UNfortunately, the layers are only "adding" their colors. • Programmatically retrieve disconnected network adapter information in .NET

  I have an application written in C# that needs to retrieve information like IP address, subnet mask from a disconnected network adapter. I've tried using various methods such as WMI and the .NET NetworkAdapter class but they don't return any useful data when the network adapter is disconnected. I'm pretty sure Windows keeps this information somewhere, since I can apply network settings using netsh and it appears correctly in the Control Panel. One thing that worked for me in XP was to parse the output of the netsh tool and it would return information even for a disconnected adapter. However, this doesn't seem to work on Windows 7.   I created a simple tab control that has 2 tabs (each tab is a different dialog). The thing is that i don't have any idea how to switch between tabs (when the user presses Titlu Tab1 to show the dialog i made for the first tab, and when it presses Titlu Tab2 to show my other dialog). I added a handler for changing items, but i don't know how should i acces some kind of index or child for tabs. • Why is invalid value being thrown?

  I've got a DevExpress TextEdit which is databound to a dataset. The field is an optional percentage, (datatype double). When the record gets loaded and there is no value in the field, everything is fine. However, if you type something into the field (IE 100) and then want to remove it afterwards, I get an Invalid Value, error. Why does this occur, and how can I remove it? I do not have any mask or any sort of explicit validation on this field.

• iPhone "slide to unlock" animation

  Any ideas as to how Apple implemented the "slide to unlock" (also, "slide to power off" is another identical example) animation? I thought about some sort of animating mask - but masking is not available on the iPhone OS for performance reasons. Is there some private API effect (like SuckEffect) that they might have used? A spotlight type of effect? Some Core Animation thing? Edit: It's definitely not a series of stills. I've seen examples of being edit a plist value or something and customize the string on jailbroken iphones.

• Databinding int32 to MaskedEditExtender enabled TextBox

  I have a master/detail scheme for editing an asp:GridView using an asp:DetailsView. One of my fields is for a phone number of type int64 (always 10 digits). I would like this field to always be displayed as (###)###-####. My issue is the first digit in the phone number is always truncated for my edit item field which I used a MaskedEditExtender to achieve the formatting. Here is my EditItemTemplate for the details view: <cc1:MaskedEditExtender TargetControlID="edtPROJ_Leader_Phone" Mask="(999)999-9999" runat="server" ClearMaskOnLostFocus="false" ClipboardEnabled="true" MaskType="Number" /> <asp:TextBox ID="edtPROJ_Leader_Phone" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("PROJ_Leader_Phone") %>' ></asp:TextBox> When my details view is displayed for editing, the text box displays(_23)456-7890 for the integer 1234567890. Also worth noting that if the property MaskType="Number" is removed, the textbox shows: (234)567-890_. I would of course have the textbox show (123)-546-67890 after binding.

Ie: initial = 0b10000000 (-128) -64 = 0b11000000 initial & -64 = 0b10000000 0b10000000 >>> 6 = 0b00000010 The result actually is -2, which is 0b11111110 Ie. 1s rather than zeros are shifted into left positions

• USB enumeration failure in ColdFire MCF52259

  Anybody with programming experience on the ColdFire line, please help! I'm using the CMX USB-Lite stack with the ColdFire MCF52259. For some reason, USB enumeration fails at the very first step, as soon as I enable the DP pull-up resistor. This is what I'm doing :- INT_ENB, OTG_INT_EN, ERR_ENB are set to 0x0 INT_STAT, OTG_INT_STAT and ERR_STAT are set to 0xff (This should clear all interrupts) In the Interrupt Status Register, bits 0 (Mask All) and 53 are made 0, all others are 1. TOK_DNE, USB_RST and STALL interrupts are enabled in INT_ENB. BDT base address is set. MCF_USB_CTL holds 0x1 PROBLEM: After the host issues the first reset (at which point I enable Control endpoint 0), instead of the expected Get Descriptor request I'm getting an endless series of resets. At least, that's what it looks like, because the TOK_DNE interrupt never triggers. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

• how to read a User uploaded file, without saving it to the database

  I'd like to be able to read an XML file uploaded by the user (less than 100kb), but not have to first save that file to the database. I don't need that file past the current action (its contents get parsed and added to the database; however, parsing the file is not the problem). Since local files can be read with: File.read("export.opml") I thought about just creating a file_field for :uploaded_file, then trying to read it with File.read(params[:uploaded_file]) but all that does is throw a TypeError (can't convert HashWithIndifferentAccess into String). I really have tried a lot of various things (including reading from the /tmp directory as well), but could get none of them to work. I hope the brevity of my question doesn't mask the effort I've given to try to solve this on my own, but I didn't want to pollute this question with a hundred ways of how NOT to get it done. Big thanks to anyone who chimes in.

• Changing view size when orientation changes

  I want my UIView subclass to behave so that when it is fitted in portrait orientation is has a certain size and another size when fitted in landscape mode. Is it possible to have the view indicate to the view controller that's resizing it when the orientation changes that it has this "ideal size"? To clarify, I'm confident that this is not something that can be done with the autoresizing mask. I also thought that sizeThatFits: would be what I need but I didn't see it get called when the orientation changed. I'm also aware that I can get this done by overriding layoutSubviews of the superview (or maybe some other method of the view controller but I would like to have this behavior embedded in the view to facilitate reuse.

  Hi all, Does anybody know if there is a way to get the sender's MAC address from an HTTPServletRequest in Jetty? (Note: by sender, I mean immediate sender aka the last hop before my server). If there isn't a direct way, does anybody know a way to translate an IP address to a MAC address in Java? Other note: I completely realize that MAC addresses do not leave the local subnet, and that's the intended functionality. • Rewriting subdomain to subfolder with htaccess

  I'm attempting to use .htaccess in the root folder of an Ubuntu/Apache2 server in order to mask a subdomain to subfolder and I keep getting a 500 Internal Error. I know that I'm doing something stupidly wrong and it is some silly error causing the problem. I've checked all of the similar threads on SO and online and whenever I try their advice the 500 continues. Here's my code. RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^admin\.mydomain\.com.*$ RewriteRule (.*) intranet/$1 [L] What I want to occur is that if a user visits admin.mydomain.com they will get the contents of the folder admin.mydomain.com/intranet/ but their URL bar will still be admin.mydomain.com. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? In addition, some of the threads online talked about possible problems with this system. Is this the best way of doing this masking, should I be using a vhost setup?

  I was wondering was the best way to invert the color pixels in the frame buffer is. I know it's possible to do with glReadPixels() and glDrawPixels() but the performance hit of those calls is pretty big. Basically, what I'm trying to do is have an inverted color cross-hair which is always visible no matter what's behind it. For instance, I'd have an arbitrary alpha mask bitmap or texture, have it render without depth test after the scene is drawn, and all the frame buffer pixels under the masked (full alpha) pixels of the texture would be inverted. I've been trying to do this with a texture, but I'm getting some strange results, also all the blending options I still find confusing.

• Partial match in MaskFormatter for jFormattedTextField

  How do I set up the MaskFormatter and the JFormattedTextField in order to allow partial matches? For example: I want the user to be able to enter numbers with this mask "## ###### ####", so if the user enters '123456789123' the formatter changes it to '12 345678 9123'.
