• UITextFields losing values after UINavigationController activity

  This is going to be hard to demonstrate in code, but maybe you can picture it with me. I have a view that contains two UITextFields, "title" and "descr". That same view contains two UIButtons that push another controller onto the navController to get more detail from the user about the object we're assembling and ultimately uploading to my server. It appears that pushing another view on, doing something, and popping it back off results in the two UITextFields keeping their content VISUALLY, but the .text property of those fields becomes NULL. I've confirmed that if I do my two push-pop fields before filling in those UITextFields, I get my data when I upload, and if I do them in the opposite order, I don't. It LOOKS like there's data there, but I get nothing when I NSLog their .text properties. Is this normal? Do I need to just design around this? Or is this as weird as it seems, and I should be looking deeper at causes of this?

When the order process is completed via Google Checkout I'd like for the user to be able come back to my site, authenticate using their Google credentials (OpenID?) that they purchased the item with linked back end, and download the goods.   Hello SO, I would like to have a confirmation on some point. My goal is to always get the same string (which is the URI in my case) while reading the href property from a link. Example: <a href="test.htm" /> with base_url = http://domain.name/ <a href="../test.htm" /> with base_url = http://domain.name/domain/ <a href="http://domain.name/test.htm" /> with base_url = any folder from http://domain.name/ I need to get http://domain.name/test.htm from the 3 situations above (or any other identical string). After some tests, it appears that my_a_dom_node.href always return the full-qualified URI, including the http://domaine.name, which should be okay for what I want. jQuery has a different behaviour and $(my_a_dom_node).attr('href') returns the content (text) that appears inside the HTML. So my trick is to use $(my_a_dom_node).get(0).href to get the full URI. The question is: can I rely on this?

  I'm looking into synchronizing an ebook in epub format (so the content is in XHTML) to an audio file. I'm thinking of putting something along the lines of: <a class="audiolink" href="sound.ogg?t=1093"></a> into the body of the document, and then have a custom epub reader that recognizes those tags and synchronizes the audio accordingly. That does seem like a bit of a hack to me though, especially the use of a special class name. Does anyone have any pointers to how this may be done in a more standards-compliant manner (or somewhere where it has been done before)? Ebooks with audio annotation seem like an idea that may already be out there.

  I'm running a curl request on an eXist database through php. The dataset is very large, and as a result, the database consistently takes a long amount of time to return an XML response. Simply adding a background image fixes the issue. The code is set up so it styles so the hit boxes for all the menu items are the same regardless if there's a link in them or not to facilitate an "onClick" drop down on those menu items without anchors. Refer to lines 81 - 86. Remove those lines (just a background image), and the hit box issue is seen in the menu items "NOT A LINK" as well. Further, the act of adding a background image fixes the hit box issue of "THIS IS A LINK" menu items. • How do I copy only the values and not the references from a Python list?

  Specifically, I want to create a backup of a list, then make some changes to that list, append all the changes to a third list, but then reset the first list with the backup before making further changes, etc, until I'm finished making changes and want to copy back all the content in the third list to the first one. Unfortunately, it seems that whenever I make changes to the first list in another function, the backup gets changed also. Using original = backup didn't work too well; nor did using def setEqual(restore, backup): restore = [] for number in backup: restore.append(number) solve my problem; even though I successfully restored the list from the backup, the backup nevertheless changed whenever I changed the original list. How would I go about solving this problem?

• ASP.net Error in Design Mode

  I just switched to VS 2010, and upgraded a previous project. I'm getting the following error on a page in design mode for 2 controls: Error Creating Control - ObjectName Object reference not set to an instance of an object. One of them is a simple label, and the other is a ajax update panel. Other pages look fine. When I build and test the app, the page renders fine in the browser and functions fine - the label functions as expected and the content in the update panel works as expected. Any ideas why I'm getting this error? I tried some of the google results to no avail. It'd be great to get this out of the way. Thanks!

  Hello, I need to create a Dialog / Prompt including TextBox for user input. My problem is, how to get the text after having confirmed the dialog? Usually I would make a class for this which would save the text in a property. However I want do design the Dialog using XAML. So I would somehow have to extent the XAML Code to save the content of the TextBox in a property - but I guess that's not possible with pure XAML. What would be the best way to realize what I'd like to do? How to build a dialog which can be defined from XAML but can still somehow return the input? Thanks for any hint!

  I am reading an audio file using CoreAudio (Extended Audio File Read Services). The audio data gets converted to 4-byte float and handed to me as a void* buffer. It can be played with Audio Queue Services, so its content is correct. Next, I want to draw a waveform and thus need access to the actual samples. So, I cast void* audioData to float*: Float32 *floatData = (Float32 *)audioData; When accessing this data however, I only get 0.0 regardless of the index. Float32 value = floatData[index]; // Is always zero for any index Am I doing something wrong with the cast?

My problem is I want user create template from the admin panel, it means all template will be stored into database including all Dwoo variable and functions.My questions: Is it possible to load dwoo template from database?   I am working in JTable and I have a requirement like this. Say There are 4 columns namely 10,20,30,40 Now the value usually comes like 10-20 20-30 and 30-40 So it was easy for us to display the name for this range. But recently the values have started to come randomly like 15-25 10-25,25-30 In this case our JTable should dynamically adjust the size of the row such that it represents that range only meaning it should not disturb the existing cells and only rows which diverge from the normal range. TO be more precise I should be able to merge and split cells based on the content of the cell.

  I'm enabling Joomla SEF , and get the following results when I link to an article from a homepage (frontpage) article: anywebsite.com/component/content/article/26/141-Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4 but when linking from other articles I get the result I want which is : anywebsite.com/Categor/141-Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4 and the link is both equal which is : index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=141:Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4&catid=26 any idea?! Edit: Does manually linking with this SEF link is a good idea , instead of waiting for joomla to convert it .. ? atleast as a last resort?

  Hello everyone: This is a CSS related question, I got one good answer from my previous question, which suggested to use some CSS code like overflow:auto together with a fixed height container. If you are using IE8, Opera, Safari, Chrome, you would notice that the lower right corner of the page now has a vertical scroll bar, which scrolls the content inside it and prevent it from overflowing. That's what I want to have in this section. Now the problem is, this would not do in FireFox 3.6.2. Am I doing something not compliant to the CSS standard or FireFox has its own way of overflow control? • TreeView nodes always have .Checked=true on postback even when not checked in UI

  I have a treeview in my .aspx: <asp:TreeView ID="tvDocCatAndType" runat="server" /> Not much else going on in the page -- two <asp:LinkButtons> and one <asp:Label>; the page is a child of a master page, so these controls are within a <asp:Content> control. I populate the treeview in code -- just 3 node levels, including the root node. All nodes have checkboxes, and I initialize all node.Checked to true. I have some Javascript to do the usual check/uncheck up and down the tree as parent and child node checkboxes are toggled. No matter how many checkboxes I clear in the UI, on postback every single node has node.Checked = true regardless of the state of the checkbox in the UI. This is not the first time I've used a treeview, but I've never had this problem before. I created this page by light adaptation of an earlier project that works fine.
