    - by Alos
    Hi I am fairly new to javascript and could use some help, I am trying to overlay a grid on top of an image and then be able to have the user click on the grid and get the grid coordinate from the box that the user clicked. I have been working with the code from the following stackoverflow question: Creating a grid overlay over image. link text Here is the code that I have so far: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var SetGrid = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ //get number of rows/columns according to the 'grid' size //numcols = el.getSize().x/sz; //numrows = el.getSize().y/sz; numcols = 48; numrows = 32; //create table element for injecting cols/rows var gridTable = new Element('table', { 'id' : 'gridTable', 'styles' : { 'width' : el.getSize().x, 'height' : el.getSize().y, 'top' : el.getCoordinates().top, 'left' : el.getCoordinates().left } }); //inject rows/cols into gridTable for (row = 1; row<=numrows; row++){ thisRow = new Element('tr', { 'id' : row, 'class' : 'gridRow' }); for(col = 1; col<=numcols; col++){ thisCol = new Element('td', { 'id' : col, 'class' : 'gridCol0' }); //each cell gets down/up over event... down starts dragging|up stops|over draws area if down was fired thisCol.addEvents({ 'mousedown' : function(){ dragFlag = true; startRow = this.getParent().get('id'); startCol = this.get('id'); }, 'mouseup' : function(){ dragFlag = false; }, 'mouseover' : function(){ if (dragFlag==true){ this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('value')); } }, 'click' : function(){ //this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id').substr(3, 1) ); str = $$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id'); alert(str.substr(2, 3)); } }); thisCol.inject(thisRow, 'bottom'); }; thisRow.inject(gridTable, 'bottom'); }; gridTable.inject(el.getParent()); } //sens level selector func var SetSensitivitySelector = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').each(function(el){ el.addEvents({ 'click' : function(){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').set('class', ''); this.set('class', 'on'); }, 'mouseover' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor','pointer'); }, 'mouseout' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor',''); } }); }); } //execute window.addEvent('load', function(){ SetGrid($('imagetomap'), 32); SetSensitivitySelector(); }); var gridSize = { x: 48, y: 32 }; var img = document.getElementById('imagetomap'); img.onclick = function(e) { if (!e) e = window.event; alert(Math.floor(e.offsetX/ gridSize.x) + ', ' + Math.floor(e.offsetY / gridSize.y)); } </script> <style> #imagetomapdiv { float:left; display: block; } #gridTable { border:1px solid red; border-collapse:collapse; position:absolute; z-index:5; } #gridTable td { opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #gridTable .gridCol0 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: none; } #gridTable .gridCol1 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: green; } #gridTable .gridCol2 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: blue; } #gridTable .gridCol3 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: yellow; } #gridTable .gridCol4 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: orange; } #gridTable .gridCol5 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: red; } #lvlSelect ul {float: left; display:block; position:relative; margin-left: 20px; padding: 10px; } #lvlSelect ul li { width:40px; text-align:center; display:block; border:1px solid black; position:relative; padding: 10px; list-style:none; opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #lvlSelect ul li.on { opacity:1; filter:alpha(opacity=100); } #lvlSelect ul #li0 { background-color: none; } #lvlSelect ul #li1 { background-color: green; } #lvlSelect ul #li2 { background-color: blue; } #lvlSelect ul #li3 { background-color: yellow; } #lvlSelect ul #li4 { background-color: orange; } #lvlSelect ul #li5 { background-color: red; } </style> </div> <div id="lvlSelect"> <ul> <li value="0" id="li0">0</li> <li value="1" id="li1">1</li> <li value="2" id="li2">2</li> <li value="3" id="li3">3</li> <li value="4" id="li4">4</li> <li value="5" id="li5" class="on">5</li> </ul> </div> In this example the grid box changes color when the image is grid box is clicked, but I would like to be able to have the coordinates of the box.   • using ruby-debug with jruby-1.5.0

    - by brad
    Release notes say that ruby-debug is installed by default. I'm using rvm. In my rails app I figured something as simple as script/server --debugger would suffice, but it complains that the ruby-debug gem isn't installed, suggests using gem install ruby-debug, which of course doesn't work (building native extensions) and is contrary to the docs anyway. Just wondering if anyone's had any luck using the built in ruby-debug in jruby 1.5 and what one needs to do in order run jruby in debug mode

  • PHP image resize and rounded image corners dynamically

    - by Dan
    I'm working of a script that dynamically ads rounded edges to an image then crops it down to a certain size. At the moment the script ads the rounded edges to the picture but i cannot get it so the original image is resized to fit within the dimensons of the final outputted image (140px x 120px) The problem is that the orginal uploaded image depending on it's orginal dimensions change the size it is in the final PNG { $image_file = $_FILES['image']['tmp_name']; $corner_radius = isset($_GET['radius']) ? $_GET['radius'] : 20; // The default corner radius is set to 20px $topleft = (isset($_GET['topleft']) and $_GET['topleft'] == "no") ? false : true; // Top-left rounded corner is shown by default $bottomleft = (isset($_GET['bottomleft']) and $_GET['bottomleft'] == "no") ? false : true; // Bottom-left rounded corner is shown by default $bottomright = (isset($_GET['bottomright']) and $_GET['bottomright'] == "no") ? false : true; // Bottom-right rounded corner is shown by default $topright = (isset($_GET['topright']) and $_GET['topright'] == "no") ? false : true; // Top-right rounded corner is shown by default $imagetype=$_FILES['image']['type']; $endsize=$corner_radius; $startsize=$endsize*3-1; $arcsize=$startsize*2+1; if (($imagetype=='image/jpeg') or ($imagetype=='jpg')) { $image = imagecreatefromjpeg($image_file); } else { if (($imagetype=='GIF') or ($imagetype=='gif')) { $image = imagecreatefromgif($image_file); } else { $image = imagecreatefrompng($image_file); } } $forecolor ='#ffffff'; $size = getimagesize($image_file); // Top-left corner $background = imagecreatetruecolor($size[0],$size[1]); imagecopymerge($background, $image, 0, 0, 0, 0, $size[0], $size[1], 100); $startx=$size[0]*2-1; $starty=$size[1]*2-1; $im_temp = imagecreatetruecolor($startx,$starty); imagecopyresampled($im_temp, $background, 0, 0, 0, 0, $startx, $starty, $size[0], $size[1]); $bg = imagecolorallocate($im_temp, 255,255,255); $fg = imagecolorallocate($im_temp, 255,255,255); if ($topleft == true) { if(!imagearc($im_temp, $startsize, $startsize, $arcsize, $arcsize, 180,270,$bg))echo "nope"; imagefilltoborder($im_temp,0,0,$bg,$bg); } // Bottom-left corner // Top-right corner if ($topright == true) { imagearc($im_temp, $startx-$startsize, $startsize,$arcsize, $arcsize, 270,360,$bg); imagefilltoborder($im_temp,$startx,0,$bg,$bg); } $image = imagecreatetruecolor(140,120); imagecopyresampled($image, $im_temp, 0, 0, 0, 0, $size[0],$size[1],$starty+1310,$startx+1500); // Output final image if(!imagepng($image,'hello.png')) echo "boo"; if(!imagedestroy($image)) echo "2"; if(!imagedestroy($background)) echo "3"; if(!imagedestroy($im_temp)) echo "4"; } EDIT: My question is how to get the orginal image reized so it fits into the 140 x 120 image that is processed with the rounded edges?

  • How can I catch all ajax requests in javascript ?

    - by Annan
    Is it possible to have a global event handler for ajax requests that automatically gets called when any ajax request returns ? I'm interested in this because I'm making a greasemonkey script for an ajax site. In previous scripts I either ran the main function every few seconds or overwrote parts of the site's javascript, both things that are messy.

  • twisted reactor stops too early

    - by pygabriel
    I'm doing a batch script to connect to a tcp server and then exiting. My problem is that I can't stop the reactor, for example: cmd = raw_input("Command: ") # custom factory, the protocol just send a line reactor.connectTCP(HOST,PORT, CommandClientFactory(cmd) d = defer.Deferred() d.addCallback(lambda x: reactor.stop()) reactor.callWhenRunning(d.callback,None) reactor.run() In this code the reactor stops before that the tcp connection is done and the cmd is passed. How can I stop the reactor after that all the operation are finished?

  • How can I specify that Doctrine must use a mysqli-connection

    - by murze
    Hi, while executing a long script that uses Doctrine to access the db, I get an error 2006 server has gone away. I've already solved this problem on a website that doens't use Doctrine. The solution there was to use mysqli instead of the normal mysql driver. How can i tell Doctrine to use a mysqli-driver in order to avoid 2006-errors? Thanks!

    - by Jarkley
    Folks, Im using MSCRM 4 and I have a contact entity with an actual job title and a normalized job title field. I would like to populate the normalized job title field based on the actual job title. I guess this needs to be done via an on-load or on-save script But I cant figure out how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated Regards Joe ( Scotland)

  • Passing a parameter to ant from CruiseControl Dashboard

    - by MSUDrew
    I am working on incorporating CruiseControl into my teams build process. What we need is a way to pass a Clearcase view name into the ant script so it knows what view to use when building. Sometimes a developer needs to create a build that is used for their testing only and not on the main integration branch. Is there a way to do this?
