    i'm new to this topic ... i'm using a ThreadPoolExecutor created with Executors.newFixedThreadPool( 10 ) and after the pool is full i'm starting to get a RejectedExecutionException . Is there a way to "force" the executor to put the new task in a "wait" status instead of rejecting it and starting it when the pool is freed ?   • Adding two buttons next to an ExtJS ComboBox

    Hi. I need to place an Add button and a Remove button next to an ExtJS ComboBox. It's critical for these three elements to be in a single line because I have to apply this to all other ComboBoxes in the fieldset too. Please notice that the given ComboBoxes are items of a fieldset. Replacing the buttons with context menu items is not the desired solution. Can you give me some ideas? Thanks in advance.

    I am trying to create a program that asks the User to type three words and sort them in lexicographic order. EXAMPLE; Enter three words separated by spaces: Pear Orange Apple Apple Orange Pear The program is working fine (if I attempt the above example) except for one type of combination example that I will show below. EXAMPLE; Enter three words separated by spaces: Orange Apple Pear Apple Pear Pear The program is skipping the first word (Orange) if it is supposed to appear in the middle of the three words.     I am trying to create a schema that has 2 address types. The first AdressType requires an element Line 1 to have a value at least 10 characters. The second type OtherAdressType derives from this with the same elements, but does not require a value for Line 1.     Ok so i'm executing the following line of code in javascript RegExp('(http:\/\/t.co\/)[a-zA-Z0-9\-\.]{8}').exec(tcont); where tcont is equal to some string like 'Test tweet to http://t.co/GXmaUyNL' (the content of a tweet obtained by jquery). However it is returning, in the case above for example, 'http://t.co/GXmaUyNL,http://t.co/'. This is frustracting because I want the url without the bit on the end - after and including the comma. Any ideas why this is appearing? Thanks

    right now I have this line, and it worked until I had whitespace in the second field. svn status | grep '\!' | gawk '{print $2;}' > removedProjs is there a way to have awk print everything in $2 or greater? ($3, $4.. until we don't have anymore columns?) I suppose I should add that I'm doing this in a windows environment with cygwin.

    When using ECMAScripts typeof on plugin elements (i.e. embed or object), Safari & FireFox return "function": typeof(window.document['myPlugin']) // "function" This can't be influenced on the plugin side, as the browser doesn't call the plugin here. Funny enough, in IE the same line evaluates to "object". Is that simply implementation dependent behaviour as per ECMAScript §11.4.3 or am i missing something here?

    Hello How can I check if the user has allowed location for mu app? Normally I would use authorizationStatus method of the CLLocationManager class, but it is only available in iOS 4.2 and newer. Is it possible to achieve this somehow while still using SDK 4.2, so that the app can still run on devices with older versions of iOS, or do I have to downgrade the SDK? And along the same line, I need a similar alternative for the locationServicesEnabled method prior to iOS 4.0. Thanx

Then using VS 2010, connected to the very same file (a mdf file) I run the query above and I get a success message. WTF!
