    ive got a printer in my Active directory but its standard set to double sided printing but the problem is the printer doesnt support that so you have to switch it manualy Ive found the setting for the user but it is automatically set to the original value if you reboot Where can i find the setting in the active directory ? the printer is a :HP Color LaserJet CP1510 Series PCL 6 (its possible that there is a script for this but i dont know where to look)

  • Hide a 2nd Monitor from a Programs Print Screen

    I run 2 monitors on a PC that also runs a program for the Freelancing site Elance.com. The program they provide, takes screenshots and uploads them to my account for a client to see at different intervals. My goal is to make the screenshot that the program takes and uploads, to somehow only take a shot of my "Main" or "Defualt" monitor and ignore my 2nd monitor. The main reason is my 2nd monitor generally has private data that I do not displayed to the world on a website. Does anyone know if there is any kind of program or trick I can use that will make it appear that I have 1 monitor when a Screenshot is taken? I am not sure how the program does it and how that works as I am a web developer and not a C++ or any kind of low level programmer. If the Elance program simply runs the same function that is called when a PrintScreen key is pressed on a keyboard, then I am thinking it might be possible to maybe trick that into only the default desktop? Any ideas or help would be appreciated, thank you

  • Silverlight ~ MVVM ~ Dynamic setting of Style property based on model value

    I have a class called Question that represents a question and it's answer. I have an application that renders an ObservableCollection of Question objects. Each Question is rendered as a StackPanel that contains a TextBlock for the question verbiage, and a TextBox for the user to enter in an answer. The questions are rendered using an ItemsControl, and I have initially set the Style of the Questions's StackPanel using a StaticResource key called 'IncorrectQuestion' (defined in UserControl.Resources section of the page). In the UserControl.Resources section, I've also defined a key calld 'CorrectQuestion' which I need to somehow apply to the Question's StackPanel when the user correctly answers the question. My problem is I'm not sure how to dynamically change the Style of the StackPanel, specifically within the constraints of a ViewModel class (i.e. I don't want to put any style selection code in the View's code-behind). My Question class has an IsCorrect property which is accurately being set when the correction is answered. I'd like to somehow reflect the IsCorrect value in the form of a Style selection. How do I do that?

When I do the XAML: <ToolBar.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type Button}"> <Setter Property="Width" Value="21"></Setter> <Setter Property="Height" Value="21"></Setter> </Style> </ToolBar.Resources> None of the buttons on the toolbar set their sizes accordingly. I have to go to each button and manually set their widths and heights to the desired values. Any idea why the Style on the toolbar does not work?

    I was wondering what style others' use when writing conditional statements that include boolean types. Currently I'm caught between using two styles. bool foo; if (foo == true) if (foo) if (foo == false) if (!foo) Obviously the first set is a bit more obvious. However, when combining conditions it could get a bit clunky. if (foo == true || blah == false || abc == true) if (foo || !blah || abc) Switching between one style for short conditionals and the other for long conditionals seems like inconsistent coding so it seems like I'd have to choose between one or the other. What do you prefer or consider better style and why?

    Hi To resolve a jQuery slideDown/Up problem, I had to change one line in the jQuery file. I changed line 5738 from this.elem.style.display = "block"; to this.elem.style.display = "inline-block"; The block attribute messed up my lists when using slideDown/Up/Toggle. slideDown changes my list from display:inline to display:block during execution, and then back to display: inline again. It would be much better if it was inline (or inline-block) all the way. Is there a way to override the value stated above from my html page, or do I have to stick with my modified jQuery file?     I was developing for quite long time already on C/C++ (mostly C, which makes style poorer). So, I know how to use it. However, quite often I stuck with style decisions like: - should I return error code here, throw exceptions, return error through a parameter - should I have all this stuff in constructor or should I create separate init function for that. and so on. Any solutions WILL work. However, each of them has cons and pros, which I know and most importantly which I don't know. It would be very nice to read something regarding overall C++ development style, coding practices and so forth. What do you recommend?

    I have an installation of Outlook 2003 that won't print emails as of this morning. It can print calendars, and every other program can print fine. Outlook won't print the emails to any printer, not even a PDF creator. As soon as you hit "Print" nothing happens, there's no notification that the print job was sent or anything. The print server never receives a request to print from the computer.

  • I can't program because old coding style. This is normal to programmers?

    I'm in my first real job as programmer, but I can't solve any problems because of the coding style used. The code here: don't have comments don't have functions (50, 100, 200, 300 or more lines executed in sequence) uses a lot of if statements with a lot of paths has variables that make no sense (eg.: cf_cfop, CF_Natop, lnom, r_procod) uses a language I am unfamiliar with (Visual FoxPro 8 from 2002) I feel like I have gone back to 1970. Is it normal for a programmer familiar with OOP, clean-code, design patterns, etc. to have trouble with coding in this old-fashion way?

    Firefox takes up so much space on small screens, so I'm searching for solutions that make firefox' interface less space consuming on ubuntu 12.04 with gnome3. Good examples are the chromium-style, but chromium is kind of slow in gnome3. Chromium does it, firefox on osx does it. Is this also possible on ubuntu via a custom modification or something?     the company I work for has a one page invoice that uses the library tcpdf. they wanted to do some design changes that I found are just incredibly difficult for setting up in .pdf format. Using html/css I could easily create the page and have it print very nicely, but I have a feeling that I am over looking something. What are the pros and cons of setting up a page just for printing? What are the pros and cons of putting out a .pdf? I could also use the CSS inline so that if they wanted to download it and open it they could.

  • Print Problem: Page Squeezed in Half

    I've just managed to successfully set up my printer (Canon MX320) using the Printing app on Ubuntu 12.04. However the only 1 remaining problem is that each time I tried to print it will only print the file on the top half of the page only: meaning that for some reason, the printer "squeezes" the whole content of each page in the file to fit into the top half of the page only (so the proportion in the print-out is not correct vertically). This happens with every type of file I tried to print (Documents, Images, Web pages). I checked the Printing's setting & properties and couldn't find anything related to this issue yet and I've already made sure to set all the information correct (paper size, source etc.). The Print Preview always display correctly on the screen, but it's only the actual print-out that shows this problem. I also tried with several different types of papers (A4, photos etc.) but the result is always the same: the printer keeps putting the content in the top half of the paper only.

    I currently am working on a project which has one large style sheet for about 20 pages. The style sheet contains some styles which are specific for certain pages. I'd like to break the style sheet up so there is one style sheet for each page with one master style sheet that handles everything generic. The reason I want to do this is so people can work on multiple pages without having to worry about who has that large style sheet checked out (I'm using TFS). Is this good practice?
