    On Linux, normally I use ptrace function to trace all syscall, and kill the process if the it tries to do anything harmful to my machine, such as system("shutdown -s -t 00") or so. Is there a way for me to do this on Windows? EDIT: I want to write Sandbox program to limit time and memory usage of its child that can work on both Windows and Linux, and now it can only run on Linux via ptrace

  • specify parent window in Windows Resource Script file(*.rc)

    Hi, I'm looking for a method to specify parent window in *.rc file. In *.rc file, it contains the layout and controls of a dialog. Any new control added into it, will automatically become a child window of Dialog itself. But I want to add a custom draw window into dialog, and some other controls which has that "custom draw window" as parent window, not dialog itself. I know I can use ::CreateWindow(...) API to dynamic create a window in code, and specify the custom draw window as parent HWND. But we already has child controls layout in *.rc file, I just want to reuse them, without create HWND again.     Szerver konszolidációnál alapmegoldás a virtualizáció, pedig az Oracle Database rendelkezik olyan képességekkel, melyekkel a virtualizáció elonyeit élvezhetjük, ám teljesítményben felülmúljuk azt. Több adatbázis konszolidációját meg lehet oldani egy nagy szerveren, vagy egy több szerverbol álló klaszteren. Bármelyik megoldást is választjuk (ezek elonyeivel és hátrányaival most nem foglalkozok), az egyik legfontosabb megoldandó probléma, hogy biztonsággal el tudjuk oket szeparálni akár adatbiztonsági, akár eroforrás kezelési szempontból. A szoftveres és hardveres virtualizációk lehetové teszik, hogy a szerver eroforrásait több virtuális szerver között felosszuk, ezáltal elszeparálhatók a párhuzamosan futó adatbázis példányok. Ezek a megoldások általában költségesek, plusz adminisztrációt jelentenek és teljesítmény csökkenést okoznak. Az alábbiakban röviden összeszedem, hogy az Oracle Database milyen eroforrás szeparációs technológiákkal rendelkezik, melyek jól használhatók adatbázis konszolidáció esetén: Adatbázis szolgáltatások: Azt talán minden Oracle adatbázis-kezelovel foglalkozó szakérto tudja, hogy akliensek az adatbázist az adatbázis szolgáltatás nevével érik el. Alapértelmezetten minden adatbázis egyetlen szolgáltatással rendelkezik, mely automatikusan a 'global database name' paraméterrel megegyezo nevet kapja az adatbázis létrehozásakor. Ugyanakkor egy adatbázishoz több szolgáltatás név is rendelheto. A szolgáltatásokkal csoportosíthatók a különbözo feladatokat végrehajtó kliensek, és a szolgáltatásokhoz rendelhetjük hogy melyik kliens csoportnak mennyi rendszer eroforrást allokálunk. Klaszteres adatbázisok (RAC) esetén egy szolgáltatás több adatbázis példányhoz (szerverhez) kapcsolódhat, amivel valós terheléstol függo terhelés elosztás valósítható meg (itt már szerepet kap egyébként a Resource Manager is, lásd késobb). Az alkalmazás számára irrelevánssá válik, hogy az adott szolgáltatást mely szerver szolgálja ki. A szolgáltatásokhoz kapcsolódó eroforrások menet közben dinamikusan bovíthetok, de kezelik a kieso eroforrások hiányát is (failover). Database Resource Manager: Az Oracle Database Resource Manager az adatbázis szintjén kezeli az eroforrásokat, a CPU használatot szabályozza az adatbázis terhelés kontrolljával. A Resource Manager egy CPU-n adott pillanatban csak egyetlen Oracle processz futtatását engedélyezi, miközben a többit várakoztatja (ahogy az egy operációs rendszer ütemezojében is muködik). A Resource Manager csak akkor lép muködésbe, amikor a CPU terhelése eléri a 100%-ot. Ekkor a Resource Plan-nek megfeleloen korlátozhatja az egyes eroforrás csoportok számára elérheto eroforrás (CPU) mennyiségét. Instance Caging: A Resource Manager részeként az Oracle Database 11gR2-tol elérheto Instance Caging technológiával virtualizáció és operációs rendszer szintu eroforrás felosztás nélkül az adatbázis példány szintjén lehet szabályozni az allokált CPU számot. Erre akkor lehet szükség, ha egy szerveren több példány futtatására van szükség. A Resource Manager bekapcsolásával és a cpu_count paraméter beállításával lehet adatbázis példányonként aktiválni az Instance Caging funkcionalitást. A cpu_count egy dinamikus paraméter, célszeru arra az értékre állítani, ahány CPU-t az adott adatbázis példány maximálisan igényelhet. Lehetoség van túlméretezni a példányok számára rendelkezésre álló processzorok számát. Például egy 4 CPUs- szerver esetében ha van 3 példányunk, mindháromnak adhatunk 3 CPU-t. Azonban ha mindegyik terhelés alatt van, akkor a példány számára maximum allokált CPU szám osztva összes allokált CPU számmal arányban részesül a processzorból, ami a példában 33,33%, azaz 1,33 CPU. Input Output Resource Manager (IORM):Nem csak a processzorok használatát szabályozhatjuk, lehetoség van a megosztott storage eroforrásainak felosztására is. Az Input Output Resorce Manager (IORM) alkalmazásával storage szinten tudjuk szabályozni az adatbázisok közötti és azokon belüli minimális I/O szinteket. Database Vault: Ugyanazon adatbázisba konszolidált alkalmazások esetén a rendszergazda szerepkörök szeparálása lehetséges az Oracle Database Vault technológiával. Ezzel elérheto az, hogy biztonságosan konszolidáljuk adatbázisainkat úgy, hogy minden adminisztrátor csak a hozzá tartozó adatokat, objektumokat lássa, módosíthassa.

    When I write in my terminal, java -jar myJar.jar, it gives me an error "Resource Not found res/playNow.png" When I run it in eclipse, it does not give me any errors about this image. My folder in my eclipse is outside my package called res and inside it are images.   • DPM 2010 RC Mailbox Recovery Fails

    I am testing DPM 2010 with Exchange 2010. I am attempting to restore a single mailbox from a previous backup to a Recovery Database. I created and mounting the Recovery Database on the Exchange 2010 server and set the overwrite property. When I run the restore for the mailbox and point it to the recovery databse I get the following error. The recovery jobs for Exchange Mailbox Database MailboxDatabase01 that started at with the destination of EXCHANGE2010.domain.com, have completed. Most or all jobs failed to recover the requested data. (ID 3111) DPM encountered an error while performaing an operation for E:\DatabaseFiles\MailboxDatabase01.edb on EXCHANGE2010.domain.com (ID 2033 Details: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process (0x80070020)) MailboxDatabase01 is one of our MDBs and not the RDB I setup for the recovery. I am confused why it is even trying to access this as I have triple checked that the recovery is pointed to the RDB. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

  • Trying To Uninstall Exchange 2007 From Server - Stuck On "Mailbox Role Checks"

    Hi All, I am trying to uninstall Exchange 2007 on a secodary server which has been decommissioned for quite a while (cleaning up after an old Network Admin). The only roll the server had was "Mailbox Role" (the primary server also has this). I have tried uninstalling using Programs and Features GUI tool but that hung on Mailbox Role Checks. I then tried uninstalling Exchange by running Setup.com /mode:uninstall. It has been stuck on 1% of "Mailbox Role Checks" for over 3 hours now. Is there any other options I have for uninstalling Exchange 2007 so the old server can be removed from the Exchange Management console?

    I am trying to move messages from a rather large mailbox to an archive mailbox. However I run into errors all the time. the command I am executing is Export-Mailbox -Identity MAILBOX_FROM -TargetMailbox ARCHIVE -TargetFolder ARCHIVE_FOLDER -StartDate 2009-02-01 -EndDate 2009-02-28 -DeleteContent -Confirm:$false I can copy/move some messages, but run into frequent "an unknown error has occurred" (statuscode -1056749164) I run the console as administrative user, and all permissions are set right, as far as I can tell. I've restricted the start and end dates in case the number of messages moved/deleted should create problems. Anything I am missing in my setup? Corrupted messages? Over-limit message sizes?

    I am trying to use the Export-Mailbox cmdlet to export a mailbox to PST file but i get an error that i'm running on a 64bit machine and must use a 32 bit etc etc.. I have a Windows 7 Pro 32bit PC joined to the domain with the exchange server, and outlook 32bit installed. When i try to install Exchange 2007 32bit management console only, i'm told that i can't install the managemnet tools on a Windows 7 PC. Can someone please advise if this is correct setup to be able to run the export-mailbox function to dump the mailboxes into PST files. Thank you

    I have 2 Exchange 2010 servers each with a Mailbox Database. I have also setup a Hardware Load Balancer (KEMP LoadMaster 2200 to be precise) to load balance the CAS role access. My HLB has an IP of 192.168.1.100. I've setup the DNS A record for mail.mydomain.com to point to 192.168.1.100. However when I try to set the RpcClientAccessServer on a mailbox database using Set-MailboxDatabase "My Mailbox Database" -RpcClientAccessServer mail.mydomain.com I get an error saying Exchange server "mail.mydomain.com" was not found. Please make sure you have typed it correctly. + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [], ManagementObjectNotFoundException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 4082394C Any ideas?

    I would want to set the out-of-office automatic response to all emails that arrive to our [email protected]. currently in the Outlook, I only have one mailbox (the user mailbox) but it has 2 shared mailboxes setup. I have tried to create a Rule that says: for all email received on account [email protected] forward to user [email protected] and make that user to set up the Out-of-office message, but it simply did not work, and I suspect that the rules only apply to the user account and not the shared account... How can I set Out-Of-Office in this shared mailbox ?

  • Cannot assign multi-line values to CustomAttributes with Set-Mailbox

    A colleague is implementing an application that generates signatures and publishes them to Outlook. It would be useful to him if I could store a multi-line string for each user in Active-Directory. Using one of the Custom-Attributes seems obvious, but if I try set-mailbox biglig -CustomAtribute1 "First Line``r``n Second Line" then CustomAttribute1 gets set to "FirstLineSecondLine" and looses the breaks. However, the same syntax works fine when I set e.g. StreetAddress or Notes. Of course, those are changed with set-user rather than set-mailbox. According to Technet's reference for set-user and set-mailbox, The CustomAttributes, StreetAddress, and Notes all take a system.string as their value. Is it just the case that some attributes accept multi-line strings and some don't? If so, can anyone suggest a workaround?

    I have a primary Dovecot + Postfix mail server and a secondary Zimbra 8.0.1 server. The primary server went down for a week and all the incoming messages were delivered to the secondary server which has configured a "catch all" account. Now that the primary server is back online, I'd like to flush all messages on the "catch all" mailbox to the primary server for appropriate delivery to the corresponding user mailbox (and its own rules). Is that possible?

However one mailbox moved successfully and the user is able to send and receive e-mail internally and externally with no problems but they do not show up in the Global Address List. The OAB is owned by an Exchange 2010 mailbox server. What am I missing?

  • How to indicate to a web server the language of a resource

    I'm writing an HTTP API to a publishing server, and I want resources with representations in multiple languages. A user whose client GETs a resource which has Korean, Japanese and Trad. Chinese representations, and sends Accept-Language: en, ja;q=0.7 should get the Japanese. One resource, identified by one URI, will therefore have a number of different language representations. This seems to me like a totally orthodox use of content negotiation and multiple resource representations. But when each translator comes to provide these alternate language representations to the server, what's the correct way to instruct the server which language to store the representation under? I'm having the translators PUT the representation in its entirety to the same URI, but I can't find out how to do this elegantly. Content-Language is a response header, and none of the request headers seem to fit the bill. It seems my options are Invent a new request header Supply additional metadata in a multipart/related document Provide language as a parameter to the Content-Type of the request, like Content-Type: text/html;language=en I don't want to get into the business of extending HTTP, and I don't feel great about bundling extra metadata into the representation. Neither approach seems friendly to HTTP caches either. So option 3 seems like the best way that I can think of, but even then it's decidedly non-standard to put my own specific parameters on a very well established content type. Is there any by-the-book way of achieving this?

  • Exchange 2010 add mailbox server to DAG error

    Hello, i'm having some problems when adding a second mailbox server to my DAG in Exchange 2010. The test setup goes like this: 1x windows server 2008 (DC/DNS) 2x windows server 2008 (Exchange 2010) I have made sure all services are up and running and that the "Exchange Trusted Subsystem" account is set as a local admin. When i create a DAG i can add the first mailbox server (A) without any problems, but when i go to add the second (B) it gives me an error saying "Unable to contact the Cluster service on 1 other members (member) of the Database availability group. It does the same if i add (B) first and then try to add (A). Here is a part of the log file: [2010-04-05T15:00:27] GetRemoteCluster() for the mailbox server failed with exception = An Active Manager operation failed. Error: An error occurred while attempting a cluster operation. Error: Cluster API '"OpenCluster(EXCHANGE20102.area51.com) failed with 0x6d9.
