One of the requirements was NOT to disable ValidateRequest (ValidateRequest=”false”). For this project (and any other project) I felt it wasn’t necessary to disable ValidateRequest. Note: I’ve search for alternatives for the posting issue and everyone and their mothers continually suggested to disable ValidateRequest. That bothers me – a LOT. So, disabling ValidateRequest is totally out of the question (and always will be).  So I thought to modify how the “data: “ gets serialized. the ajax data fix was simple, add a .html(). YES!!! IT WORKS!!! No more “potentially dangerous” issue, ajax form posts (and does it beautifully)! So if you’re using jQuery to $.ajax() a form with CKEditor, remember to do: Code Snippet data: $("#form0Add").serialize().html(), or bad things will happen. Also, don’t forget to set Code Snippet config.htmlEncodeOutput = true; for the CKEditor config.js file (or equivalent).   I love Sublime Text editor and the ability to create code snippets like so: <snippet> <content><![CDATA[\$("${1:selector}").${2:method}]]></content> <tabTrigger>jq</tabTrigger> </snippet> This allows me to type jq[tab] and then have it expand to $("selector").method where I am able to tab through the string 'selector' and 'method' in order to change them. But what I'd really like to do is use this same snippet when working in Chrome Dev Tools, so I was looking for a mac snippets program that could support this. However, the three programs that I looked at (Keyboard Maestro, Snippets, CodeBox) don't support the ability to tab through to highlight predetermined strings and change them. Does anyone know of an app that will do this?

• Fixing LINQ Error: Sequence contains no elements

  I’ve read some posts regarding this error when using the First() or Single() command.   They suggest using FirstOrDefault() or SingleorDefault() instead. But I recently encountered it when using a Sum() command in conjunction with a Where():   Code Snippet var effectiveFloor = policies.Where(p => p.PricingStrategy == PricingStrategy.EstablishFloor).Max(p => p.Amount);   When the Where() function eliminated all the items in the policies collection, the Sum() command threw the “Sequence contains no elements” exception.   Inserting the DefaultIfEmpty() command between the Where() and Sum(), prevents this error: Code Snippet var effectiveFloor = policies.Where(p => p.PricingStrategy == PricingStrategy.EstablishFloor).DefaultIfEmpty().Max(p => p.Amount);   but now throws a Null Reference exception!   The Fix: Using a combination of DefaultIfEmpty() and a null check in the Sum() command solves this problem entirely: Code Snippet var effectiveFloor = policies.Where(p => p.PricingStrategy == PricingStrategy.EstablishFloor).DefaultIfEmpty().Max(p =>  p==null?0 :p.Amount);

  In Visual Studio 2008 I had a macro which would insert a snippet and input today's date in one of the replacements. When I try to run this macro in VS 2010 it doesn't work. No matter how I try it will not insert a snippet. When I try the following command: DTE.ExecuteCommand("Edit.InvokeSnippetFromShortcut", "snippetName") This fails with error "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. I tried recording a new macro and when I pressed the keyboard shortcut for inserting a snippet (Ctrl+K, Ctrl+X) VS gave the error "The command Insert Snippet is not currently available." Did MS remove the ability to insert snippets from macros? If so this really is a shame because macros have functionality not found in snippets and vice versa.

  Hi ! I'm using GWT to dynamically load html snippets from php script. I define the snippet i want the php script to return in the url (test.php?snippet=1). Now in GWT i have a function "getSnippet(int snippet id)" that uses a RequestBuilder to retrieve the snippet. It works perfectly fine, but it bothers me that i have to create a new RequestBuilder everytime getSnippet gets called. I'd rather have one ReqestBuilder and just change the url when getSnippet is called... Is there a way to do this ? Thank you !

• IntelliSense has forgotten my code snippets!

  Hi all I have a stack of code snippets imported into Visual Studio. Just recently, they have stopped displaying in Intellisense. If the keyboard shortcut doesn't bring up anything else on IntelliSense, then I can tab and the code snippet is inserted just fine. However, if the keyboard shortcut for the snippet happens to also bring up other items in IntelliSense, tabbing will select the first of those items, so I actually can't use the code snippet at all! Does anyone have any ideas why IntelliSense would be unable to list my code snippet shortcuts? I started using ReSharper recently, but that wouldn't be the problem surely?!   I'm getting in trouble. I'm trying to emulate the call Application.Run using Application.DoEvents... this sounds bad, and then I accept also alternative solutions to my question... I have to handle a message pump like Application.Run does, but I need to execute code before and after the message handling. Pratically I have a list of Kernel classes, which runs in separate threads, these threads handle a Form for rendering in OpenGL. I need to synchronize all the Kernel threads using a barrier, and this work perfectly. Of course, I need to handle Form messages in the main thread (Main routine), for every Form created, and indeed I call Application.DoEvents() to do the job. Now I have to modify the snippet above to have a common Form (simple dialog box) without consuming the 100% of CPU calling Application.DoEvents(), as Application.Run does. The goal should be to have the snippet above handle messages when arrives, and issue a rendering (releasing the barrier) only when necessary, without trying to get the maximum FPS; there should be the possibility to switch to a strict loop to render as much as possible. How could it be possible? Note: the snippet above must be executed in the Main routine, since the OpenGL context is created on the main thread. Moving the snippet in a separated thread and calling Application.Run is quite unstable and buggy...

  I have the following method I came across in a code review. Inside the loop Resharper is telling me that if (narrativefound == false) is incorrect becuase narrativeFound is always true. I don't think this is the case, because in order to set narrativeFound to true it has to pass the conditional string compare first, so how can it always be true? Am I missing something?
