  • Align 2 sets of 2D point clouds

    From what I gather, there are two major methods to perform alignment on point clouds, Iterative Closest Point (ICP) and Particle Filtering. What are the advantages of each method? And can someone point me some good tutorials. For what I am currently doing, I think ICP would be easier, I can't seem to find any simple reference implementations online for 2d point sets. Has anyone seen (psuedo)code for ICP with details on the transformation step? Thanks in advance.

    I am currently following along with http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/mvc-4/getting-started-with-aspnet-mvc4/accessing-your-model's-data-from-a-controller to get a grasp of MVC 4. I am trying to add the MoviesController, but whenever I do I receive an error that says... "Unable to retrieve metadata for 'MvcMovie.Models.Movie' unrecognized configuration section entityFramework (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp4FFB.tmp line 76)" The last thing I did before this was change the Web.config file from the end of the previous page in the tutorial.

What I would like to do is just detect if someone has logged into Google, and if they have get some identifying information, and allow them to federate into my site.   • How do you put a UIWebView somewhere other than MainView.xib?

    Hello, I've been trying to put a UIWebView into my app, which is tableview based. When the user selects a row, I want the new xib to load, but this one with a UIWebView on it. From all of the tutorials I've seen, you can only put a UIWebView on the MainView.xib. Can someone please tell me how to put a FUNCTIONING UIWebView somewhere other than the main view?   • Why return this.each(function()) in jQuery plugins?

    Some of the tutorials and examples I have seen for developing jQuery plugins tend to return this.each(function () { }); at the end of the function that instantiates the plugin but I have yet to see any reasoning behind it, it just seems to be a standard that everyone follows. (It's like a flash website without flash) I've tried the methods recommended in Cross-platform, cross-browser way to play sound from Javascript?, the jQuery Sound plugin and a couple of other tutorials without any success. I'm assuming this is because they haven't been updated since 2008. Does anyone have any recommendations?
