  • sql trigger inserting row into two tables

    I was looking for a way to create a trigger that would insert the same row into two tables with the same values. For example, a new row is inserted into pushNotificationQueue as soon as that is inserted, I would like that same exact row to be inserted into messages. I tried this CREATE TRIGGER add_to_messages after insert on mbb_pushNotificationQueue FOR EACH ROW insert into mbb_messages select * from mbb_pushNotificationQueue the only problem with that is that it goes through and adds entries that have already been previously added.

Example: #ruby >1.9 time1 = Time.now - 1.day time2 = Time.now #code to make changes #test: time1 == time2 # TRUE My solution: time1 = time1.strftime("%h:%m").to_time time2 = time2.strftime("%h:%m").to_time #test time1 == time2 #True #passes I was wondering if there was a better way of doing this? Maybe we could keep the Date the same as time1/time2?

If the Red's run out, it should begin with the first one again. Example: let's say there are only two Red's: Blue1 Blue2 Blue3 Red1 Blue4 Blue5 Blue6 Red2 Blue7 Blue8 Blue9 Red1 ... ... If the Blue's run out, the Red's should append until they run out too. Example: let's say there are 5 Blue's, and 5 Red's: Blue1 Blue2 Blue3 Red1 Blue4 Blue5 Red2 Red3 Red4 Red5 Note: the arrays come from mysql-fetches. Maybe it's better to fetch them while building the new array? Anyway, the while-loops got to me, I can't figure it out... Any help is much appreciated!
