  • handling NSStream events when using EASession in MonoTouch

    Does anyone have an example of how to handle read and write NSStream events in Monotouch when working with accessories via EASession? It looks like there isn't a strongly typed delegate for this and I'm having trouble figuring out what selectors I need to handle on the delegates of my InputStream and OutputStream and what I actually need to do with each selector in order to properly fill and empty the buffers belonging to the EASession object. Basically, I'm trying to port Apple's EADemo app to Monotouch right now.   • Web Automation Tool

    I've realized I need a full-fledged browser automation tool for testing user interactions with our JavaScript widget library. I was using qunit, starting with unit testing and then I unwisely started incorporating more and more functional tests. That was a bad idea: trying to simulate a lot of user actions with JavaScript. The timing issues have gotten out of control and have made the suite too brittle. Now I spend more time fixing the tests, then I do developing. Is it possible to find a browser automation tool that works in: Windows XP: IE6,7,8, FF3 OSX: Safari, FF3 ? I've looked into SeleniumIDE and RC, but there seems to be some IE8 problems. I've also seen some things about Google's WebDriver, which confusingly seems to work with Selenium. Our organziation has licenses for IBM's Rational Functional Tester, but I don' think that will work on the MAC. The idea is to try to run tests on all the browsers our organization supports. Doable? Are my requirements unrealistic? Any recommendations as far as software to try? Thanks!

Anyways, I have downloaded free fonts from GoSquared (link) which provides all fonts in single SVG file. So, is there any standard way or tool to convert this single SVG files into individual icon's svg/png file?   • How do I show information to users belonging to different groups (web) in modx

    Hello Everyone, I have created a website using modx evolution v1.0.2. The website that I have developed has 12 different types of users (categorized in groups). Each user will be shown a different price depending on the group to which he belongs. Till now I have been able to fetch the group name of current logged in user (created a snippet for that), but how can I achieve the above mentioned functionality so that each user should be able to see only the price that I have coded according to his group. For example: If a user is associated with the 'ocassional' group then he should be shown the price as , say, 50 bucks and if a user is associated with the 'regular' group then he should be shown the price as, say, 40 bucks I can easily do this by coding a single snippet for every product's variant, but there are a lot of variants (more than 100 and growing). I have created a resource(page) for every product and it's variant. Every variant has a price. It is this price that I want to be shown according to the logged in user group membership. I hope I am able to explain my query clearly. Please help me do this functionality. Thanks

  • How can I force asp.net webapi to always decode POST data as JSON

    I getting some json data posted to my asp.net webapi, but the post parameter is always coming up null - the data is not being serialized correctly. The method looks something like this: public HttpResponseMessage Post(string id, RegistrationData registerData) It seems the problem is that the client (which I have no control over) is always sending the content-type as x-www-form-urlencoded, even though the content is actually json. This causes mvc to try to deserialize as form data, which fails. Is there anyway to get webapi to always deserialize as json, and to ignore the content-type header?
