  • 3000 videos songs... some are loud in voice & some low.. I want to make them equal (equal in volume only)

    I have thousands Video flv/avi files, which are all songs only. Some of them are high in volume and some are low. Every time the song ends I have to up or down the volume at once..to escape my ears ruined by headphones... and by woofers, save my life from my neighbor sleeping after hard-earning all the day long. :-( Any idea to make all files sound equal? Does such kind of application/software exist? Any converter that may convert all audio files into same volume? I know iTunes has sound-check option but can it convert? If I want to write CDs, does any burner have the feature like this, to burn in equal sound? If yes, suggest something for me... For, I am really really worried... It would be a great help.....     Hi, i have a question about class attribute in python. class base : def __init__ (self): pass derived_val = 1 t1 = base() t2 = base () t2.derived_val +=1 t2.__class__.derived_val +=2 print t2.derived_val # its value is 2 print t2.__class__.derived_val # its value is 3 The results are different. I also use id() function to find t2.derived_val and t2.class.derived_val have different memory address. My problem is derived_val is class attribute. Why it is different in above example? Is it because the instance of class copy its own derived_val beside the class attribute?

    All right so I am doing a javascript code for a login type form and it will lead you to a new page.   • Problems rendering pages in FF and IE

    I am having a constant trouble with pages not rendering correctly between FF and IE. not my code below. "Select an Account" should be next to the drop down such as: Select an Account Type: "then my form" however my form goes to the next line when I want it next to "Select an Account".   • Find whether TV supports S Video

    Hello Freinds I have a TV (some unknown model) which has 3 sockets to insert 3 wires red, yellow and white. A DVD Player can be connected to the TV using sockets and the TV displays that the TV is in AV mode when DVD is running. Now i have a Desktop which has a S Video Port and i have a wire to connect the S Video port from my computer to those red, yellow and white sockets using appropriate pins. Now i have searched all over the remote and it does not switches to S Video Mode, it has only 2 modes of operation i.e. 1 Cable Connection (Third Party DTH Receiver receives channels and i pay subscription) and 2 AV Mode. It does not have S Video Mode or any other mode. Now my question is whether i can connect the S Video cable from my desktop to the above described TV or i should look for a new TV if i wish to connect the S Video from Computer to TV or there is any sort of converter that can help? I did tried connecting the S Video cable from Desktop to TV, but it did'nt worked. TV kept on displaying Blue Screen of AV Mode. Regards

  • Accessing a control in asp.net content page through Javascript

    Hi, I have a form in my content page for which I am doing some client side validations via Javascript. The Javascript behaves as expected if I place the JS code directly in the content page. But if I place the JS code in it's own file and try accessing that from the content/master page (through the script tag's src attribute), I get a run time error when the validation function in JS being called. To be specific, I get the below error. Microsoft JScript runtime error: Objected expected/required at this line - document.getElementById('<%=txtemailId.ClientID %').value txtemailId is in the content page. Javascript code is placed in validation.js and accessed via master page. The reason I guess is that when .net is parsing the files, it is unable to substitute txtemailId.ClientID with the client side value that would be generated later on. So, how should one go about it?   • CorePlot - Set y-Axis range to include all data points

    I have implemented a CorePlot graph in my iOS application, however I am unable to dynamically size the y-Axis based on the data points in the set. Some datasets range from 10-50, while others would range from 400-500. In both cases, I would like to have y-origin (0) visible. I have tried using the scaletofitplots method: [graph.defaultPlotSpace scaleToFitPlots:[graph allPlots]]; but this has no effect on the graphs, they still show the default Y-Axis range of 0 to 1. The only way that I can change the y-Axis is to do it manually via this: graph.defaultPlotSpace.yRange = [CPTPlotRange plotRangeWithLocation:CPTDecimalFromFloat(0.0f)) length:CPTDecimalFromFloat(500.0f)]; however this doesn't work well for graphs with smaller ranges (10-50), as you can imagine. Is there any method to retrieve the highest y-value from my dataset so that I can manually set the maximum y-Axis to that value? Or is there a better alternative?

    Hi, I am working on a windows application which is developed in C#. I am kinda new in windows world. I want to restrict number of parallel threads running for this application at a given point of time. This number can be changed by user on a beefier machine. What is the best way to do this configuration and how it can be achieved. I can think of following approaches. 1. Use ConfigurationManager to read the configuration value.     I am generating data validation javascript in an Asp.Net MVC 3 application with the following code [DisplayName("Latitude Degrees")] [Range(0, 90, ErrorMessage = "Latitude degrees must be between {1} and {2}")] public Int32? LatitudeDegrees { get; set; } on a view model. When it was MVC2 this worked just fine, if I entered a value outside of 0-90 in the textbox I got the validation warnings. Since I moved the application to MVC 3, whenever I put any value into the texbox, legal or illegal I get the validation error appear next to it. I have EnableClientValidation set to true and UseUnobtrusiveJavascript is off (nothing in web.config or the views to turn it on).

    Just wrote some nasty code that iterates over a dict or a list in Python. I have a feeling this was not the best way to go about it. The problem is that in order to iterate over a dict, this is the convention: for key in dict_object: dict_object[key] = 1 But modifying the object properties by key does not work if the same thing is done on a list: # Throws an error because the value of key is the property value, not # the list index: for key in list_object: list_object[key] = 1 The way I solved this problem was to write this nasty code: if isinstance(obj, dict): for key in obj: do_loop_contents(obj, key) elif isinstance(obj, list): for i in xrange(0, len(obj)): do_loop_contents(obj, i) def do_loop_contents(obj, key): obj[key] = 1 Is there a better way to do this?     Hi guys. I'm using Codeigniter for a small project, and my model works correctly except for the dates. I have a column defined: created_at datetime not null and my model code includes in its array passed into db-insert: 'created_at' = time() This produces a datetime value of 0000-00-00 00:00:00. When I change it to: 'created_at' = "from_unixtime(" . time() . ")" it still produces the 0 datetime value. What am I doing wrong? How can I set this field to the given unix time? Also, I know mysql sets TIMESTAMP columns automatically for you - I'm not interested in that solution here. So far I can't find a complete example of this on the web.

Now if i have two text boxes on my page,and i am doing required filed validation for both of them in model. This validation is done on server side on click of a button.     Hi all, I have an array that has 30 date objects. The date objects are indexed in the array from the minimum date value to the maximum date value. What I would like to do is retrieve only 7 dates from the array. Out of the 7, the first one should be the minDate and the last should be the maxDate, with 5 dates in the middle. I'm trying to figure out a way to maximize the average of all of the functions given some total H value. For example, say each function represents a grade on an assignment. If I spend h hours on assignment i, I will get g = Fi(h) as my grade. I'm given H hours to finish all of the assignments. I want to maximize my average grade for all assignments. Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure this out?

  • Spring security and Struts 2

    I have a struts2 action with an @Secured({"ROLE_ADMIN"}) to secure the execute method. In the execute method i assign a message to a member variable of the action, then return SUCCESS and end up on the jsp page. On the page I retrieve the actions member variable with <sroperty. private String greeting; public String execute() throws Exception { this.greeting="Hello"; return SUCCESS; } // getters and setters for greeting ... <s:property value="greeting" /> The problem is when the secured annotation is present the jsp shows nothing for the member variable but when @Secured is removed the whole thing behaves properly and shows the message that was set into the member variable. It appears that the actual security is working ok but when enabled via the annotation the member variable (or maybe the instance of the action) is not making its way onto the value stack. I cant see any error messages.

    I may be missing something obvious here, but how could I rewrite this code so that it doesn't need the theVariable to be a global variable ? <script language="javascript"> theVariable = ""; function setValue() /* called on page load */ { /* make ajax call to the server here */ theVariable = "a string of json data waiting to be eval()'d"; } function getValue() { alert(theVariable); } </script> <input type="button" onClick="javascript:getValue()" value="Get the value"> In my actual situation, the setValue function makes an ajax call to the server, receives a json string and the data from that is accessed when you mouseover various parts of the page. I end up using several global variables which works fine, but is messy and I'd like to know if there's a better and more elegant way of doing it ?

    I have the following code to generate a list and will allow developers to customize the output if needed. <% Html.List<MyList>(item => item.Property).Value(item => return "<div>" + item.Property + "<br/>" + item.AnotherProperty + "</div>").Render() %> This is not ideal, how can I allow the developers to add the html similar to other controls. <% Html.List<MyList>(item => item.Property).Value(item => %> <div><%=item.Property%><br/><%=item.AnotherProperty%></div><%).Render() %> This way is much cleaner and standard with the rest of mvc.

  • Generating a Grid of NSTextField Objects From NSDictionary Items

    I'm trying to create an vocabulary study application using Obj-C and the Cocoa frameworks. I have about two week's experience in both areas and have reached an edge of my current knowledge. Here's where I'm stuck. When I press a checkbox, a corresponding plist is loaded into memory as an NSDictionary. I want to generate a "Label: Textfield" pair for each key:value pair, where the Label is the key. When the text typed into the Textfield matches the key's value, I want the Label's text to turn green. So how would I generate this grid, and once generated, how would I make the text green upon correct input? Thanks!
