• Switching from one connectionstring to another when moving from development to cloud

  Hello, I am working on a cloud application. When I test out the application on my computer I want to have my connection string set as follows in ServiceConfiguration.cscfg: <Setting name="DataConnectionString" value="UseDevelopmentStorage=true" /> When I publish to the cloud I need to have it set as follows: <Setting name="DataConnectionString" value="DefaultEndpointsProtocol=https;AccountName=xxxx;AccountKey=yyy" /> I keep going from one environment to the other and keep having to change the DataConnectionString. Is there a way that I can automate this? I looked around and can't see any examples but I'm sure some others have the same problem as me. Thanks, Nancy

  I have the following command button set up in a facelet: <h:commandButton action="#{addressAction.deletePreviousAddress}" value="#{bundle['button.deleteAddress']}" styleClass="deg-form-button" immediate="true"> <f:setPropertyActionListener target="#{addressAction.addressActionForm.previousAddress}" value="#{address}"> </f:setPropertyActionListener> </h:commandButton> In AddressAction, the following code gets run to delete a previous address on the form: public Enum<NavigationConstants> deletePreviousAddress() { addressActionForm.getPreviousAddresses().remove(addressActionForm.getPreviousAddress()); return NavigationConstants.addresses; } Before I made the address input components "required=true", this code worked fine and removed the previous address from the jsf form successfully. Right now, I can't successfully delete a previous address because validation is occurring and stating that the input components need to be filled in on the previous address record on the form. How can I bypass this validation? I thought the "immediate=true" attribute on the command button would have accomplished it but that's not cutting it in my case...

Awhile back, I discovered that to change the opacity of an image, I have to use a different API, depending on whether the page is viewed in Firefox or IE. Firefox: img.style.opacity = [value 0 to 1]; IE: img.style.filter="progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(opacity= [value 0 to 100] )"; So, currently, I use <script LANGUAGE="JScript"> for code that is meant for IE. This was suggested in the Mozilla docs. The problem: Chrome thinks my <script LANGUAGE="JScript"> code is valid, when it is not. How to make Chrome ignore the code inside <script LANGUAGE="JScript"> ? Or how to make my opacity code cross-browser?

• Changing an Action Type="click" to an auto action in SVG

  I have a SVG document that I exported from Visio 2003 that would like to edit. This file has an action where you click a button it will navigate to a new screen. What I would like to do is have the navigation be based off of a data point rather than having to click the button. As an example I have a dynamic point data being brought into the SVG file and when that value changes from 0 to 1, I want this screen to automatically navigate to another screen.   Hi people. I'm working on an editor that enables its users to create "object" definitions in real-time. A definition can contain zero or more properties. A property has a name a type. Once a definition is created, a user can create an object of that definition and set the property values of that object. So by the click of a mouse-button, the user should ie. be able to create a new definition called "Bicycle", and add the property "Size" of type "Numeric". Then another property called "Name" of type "Text", and then another property called "Price" of type "Numeric". Once that is done, the user should be able to create a couple of "Bicycle" objects and fill in the "Name" and "Price" property values of each bike. Now, I've seen this feature in several software products, so it must be a well-known concept. My problem started when I sat down and tried to come up with a DB schema to support this data structure, because I want the property values to be stored using the appropriate column types. Ie. a numeric property value is stored as, say, an INT in the database, and a textual property value is stored as VARCHAR.   I have two separate tables both with user id columns uid. I want to take a value from all users in one table and insert it into the correct row for the correct user in the other table. INSERT INTO users2 (picture) SELECT pv.value FROM profile_values as pv, users2 as u WHERE pv.uid = u.uid AND pv.fid = 31 AND users2.uid=u.uid; But it's not working because i seem not to have access to users2.uid inside of the select statement.   Currently I have something like this in my JSP <c:url value="/teams/${contact.id}/${contact.name}" /> The important part of my URL is the ID, I just put the name on it for SEO purposes (just like stackoverflow.com does). I was just wondering if there is a quick and clean way to encode the name (change spaces per +, latin chars removal, etc).   Why is it in the following silverlight application that when I: change the default text in the first textbox move the cursor to the second text box (i.e. take focus off first textbox) click the button that inside the button handler, it still has the old value "default text"? • C++ - Opening a file inside a function using fopen. (Noob problem)

  I am using Visual Studio 2005 (C++). I am passing a string into a function as a char array. I want to open the file passed in as a parameter and use it. I know my code works to an extent, because if I hardcode the filename as the first parameter it works perfectly. I do notice if I look at the value as a watch, the value includes the address aside the string literal. I have tried passing in the filename as a pointer, but it then complains about type conversion with __w64. As I said before it works fine with "filename.txt" in place of fileName. So basically I want the record to exclude the records that has the value of 2 in the record that will not be shown in the page.

  I have following two classes: public class A : System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button { public virtual string X { get { object obj = ViewState["X"]; if (obj != null) return (string)obj; return null; } set { ViewState["X"] = value; } } protected override void OnLoad(EventArgs e) { X=2; } } and public class B : System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox { public virtual string X { get { object obj = ViewState["X"]; if (obj != null) return (string)obj; return null; } set { ViewState["X"] = value; } } protected override void OnLoad(EventArgs e) { X=2; } } As you must be seeing the class A and B have exactly the same code , my question is how can I make a common class for it and use these two classes.
