  • @SequenceGenerator - allocationSize, reverse engineering with Eclipse Hibernate Tools

    - by Spooky
I use the Eclipse Hibernate Tools to create domain classes with JPA annotations from my Oracle database. To control sequence generation I have added the following entry to the hibernate.reveng.xml: ... <primary-key> <generator class="sequence"> <param name="sequence">SEQ_FOO_ID</param> </generator> </primary-key> ... This results in the following annotation: @SequenceGenerator(name = "generator", sequenceName = "SEQ_FOO_ID") However I need to set the "allocationSize" like this: @SequenceGenerator(name = "generator", sequenceName = "SEQ_FOO_ID", allocationSize = 1) Is it possible to set this somehow in the hibernate.reveng.xml?

  • How to add new object to an IList mapped as a one-to-many with NHibernate?

    - by Jørn Schou-Rode
My model contains a class Section which has an ordered list of Statics that are part of this section. Leaving all the other properties out, the implementation of the model looks like this: public class Section { public virtual int Id { get; private set; } public virtual IList<Static> Statics { get; private set; } } public class Static { public virtual int Id { get; private set; } } In the database, the relationship is implemented as a one-to-many, where the table Static has a foreign key pointing to Section and an integer column Position to store its index position in the list it is part of. The mapping is done in Fluent NHibernate like this: public SectionMap() { Id(x => x.Id); HasMany(x => x.Statics).Cascade.All().LazyLoad() .AsList(x => x.WithColumn("Position")); } public StaticMap() { Id(x => x.Id); References(x => x.Section); } Now I am able to load existing Statics, and I am also able to update the details of those. However, I cannot seem to find a way to add new Statics to a Section, and have this change persisted to the database. I have tried several combinations of: mySection.Statics.Add(myStatic) session.Update(mySection) session.Save(myStatic) but the closest I have gotten (using the first two statements), is to an SQL exception reading: "Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Position'". Clearly an INSERT is attempted here, but NHibernate does not seem to automatically append the index position to the SQL statement. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something in my mappings? Do I need to expose the Position column as a property and assign a value to it myself? EDIT: Apparently everything works as expected, if I remove the NOT NULL constraint on the Static.Position column in the database. I guess NHibernate makes the insert and immediatly after updates the row with a Position value. While this is an anwers to the question, I am not sure if it is the best one. I would prefer the Position column to be not nullable, so I still hope there is some way to make NHibernate provide a value for that column directly in the INSERT statement. Thus, the question is still open. Any other solutions?

  • Getresponse not working after authentication

    - by Hazler
For starters, here's my code: // Create a request using a URL that can receive a post. WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create("http://mydomain.com/cms/csharptest.php"); request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("myUser", "myPass"); // Set the Method property of the request to POST. request.Method = "POST"; // Create POST data and convert it to a byte array. string postData = "name=PersonName&age=25"; byte[] byteArray = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(postData); // Set the ContentType property of the WebRequest. request.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"; // Set the ContentLength property of the WebRequest. request.ContentLength = byteArray.Length; // Get the request stream. Stream dataStream = request.GetRequestStream(); // Write the data to the request stream. dataStream.Write(byteArray, 0, byteArray.Length); // Close the Stream object. dataStream.Close(); // Get the response. HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse(); // Display the status. Console.WriteLine((response).StatusDescription); // Get the stream containing content returned by the server. dataStream = response.GetResponseStream(); // Open the stream using a StreamReader for easy access. StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(dataStream); // Read the content. string responseFromServer = reader.ReadToEnd(); // Display the content. Console.WriteLine(responseFromServer); // Clean up the streams. reader.Close(); dataStream.Close(); response.Close(); The directory cms/ requires authentication, but if I try running this same code somewhere, where authentication isn't needed, it works fine. The error (System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden) occurs at HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse(); I have managed in reading data after authenticating, but not if I also send POST data. What's wrong with this?

  • Builder 2010 localization problems

    - by gbrandt
I cannot localize a Builder C++ 2010 application. Even following the directions in the help file. Here is what I do: create a VCL Forms application. add the german language. add the german translation of the form caption using the translator. set my active language preference to german (project-language-set active...). build and run and I still get the english form caption. There is no xxx.deu file created. What am I doing wrong?

  • Moving and resizing JPanels object inside JFrame.

    - by Gabriel A. Zorrilla
Continuing my quest of learning Java by doing a simple game, i stumbled upon a little issue. My gameboard extends JPanel as well as each piece of the board. Now, this presents some problems: Cant set size of each piece, therefore, each piece JPanel ocupy the whole JFrame, concealing the rest of the pieces and the background (gameboard). Cant set the position of the pieces. I have the default flow manager. Tried setbounds and no luck. Perhaps i should make the piece to extend other JComponent?

  • NHibernate parent-childs save redundant sql update executed

    - by Broken Pipe
I'm trying to save (insert) parent object with a collection of child objects, all objects are new. I prefer to manually specify what to save\update and when so I do not use any cascade saves in mappings and flush sessions by myself. So basically I save this object graph like: session.Save(Parent) foreach (var child in Parent.Childs) { session.Save(child); } session.Flush() I expect this code to insert Parent row, then each child row, however NHibernate executes this SQL: INSERT INTO PARENT.... INSERT INTO CHILD .... UPDATE CHILD SET ParentId=@1 WHERE Id=@2 This update statement is absolutely unnecessary, ParentId was already set correctly in INSERT. How do I get rid of it? Performance is very important for me.

  • Using C# assemblies from VB6 code. Some issues.

    - by AngryHacker
I have a C# assembly, which is regasmed, but is not in the GAC. In my VB6 code, I added a reference to the generated type library (the .tlb file). Then I instantiate the C# lib in my VB6 code. If I run it from the VB6 IDE, it does not work. The Set in the code below: Dim obj as MyCSharpNamespace.MyCSharpObject Set obj = New MyCSharpNamespace.MyCSharpObject causes this error: Automation error The system cannot find the file specified However, if I compile the VB6 project to an EXE and run it, it runs perfectly fine. I should add that all the VB6 project files (e.g. forms, modules, etc...) are in the same folder as the C# DLL and TLB. So why can't I run it from the IDE environment?

  • Data sources and NSTableView

    - by lampShade
I know that table sources need a data source to hold the data that the tableview will display. Lets' say that I'm going to make my AppController be the data source of my tableview and that I make the connection in interface builder. My question is since my actual data is going to be stored in an array, let's call it myArray, when I set the data source in code should I do this [tableView setDataSource:myArray]; or this [tableView setDataSource:self]; I'm confused about this. setting the data source with the keyword "self" would set it to the AppController if I'm not mistaken.

  • ASP.NET MVC NullReferenceException when inheriting from a Base Controller

    - by rockinthesixstring
I've got a base controller that I inherit all of my Controllers from. It's job is to basically set caching and error handling as well as check for mobile browsers. My UI works fine, but my Unit Tests are failing. Imports System.Web.Mvc <HandleError()> _ <CompressFilter()> _ <OutputCache(Duration:=30, VaryByParam:="id")> _ Public Class BaseController : Inherits System.Web.Mvc.Controller Protected Overrides Function View(ByVal viewName As String, ByVal masterName As String, ByVal model As Object) As System.Web.Mvc.ViewResult Dim ismobile As Nullable(Of Boolean) = Request.Browser.IsMobileDevice If ismobile Then Return MyBase.View(viewName, "Mobile", model) Else Return MyBase.View(viewName, "Site", model) End If End Function End Class The error I'm getting in my Unit test is on Dim ismobile As Nullable(Of Boolean) = Request.Browser.IsMobileDevice saying Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of An Object.

  • In Javascript, by what mechanism does setting an Image src property trigger an image load?

    - by brainjam
One of the things you learn early on when manipulating a DOM using Javascript is the following pattern: var img = new Image(); // Create new Image object img.onload = function(){ // execute drawImage statements here } img.src = 'myImage.png'; // Set source path As far as I know, in general when you set an object property there are no side effects. So what is the mechanism for triggering an image load? Is it just magic? Or can I use a similar mechanism to implement a class Foo that supports a parallel pattern? var foo = new Foo(); // Create new object foo.barchanged = function(){ // execute something after side effect has completed } foo.bar = 'whatever'; // Assign something to 'bar' property I'm vaguely aware of Javascript getters and setters. Is this how Image.src triggers a load?

  • Slow MySQL query....only sometimes

    - by Shane N
I have a query that's used in a reporting system of ours that sometimes runs quicker than a second, and other times takes 1 to 10 minutes to run. Here's the entry from the slow query log: # Query_time: 543 Lock_time: 0 Rows_sent: 0 Rows_examined: 124948974 use statsdb; SELECT count(distinct Visits.visitorid) as 'uniques' FROM Visits,Visitors WHERE Visits.visitorid=Visitors.visitorid and candidateid in (32) and visittime>=1275721200 and visittime<=1275807599 and (omit=0 or omit>=1275807599) AND Visitors.segmentid=9 AND Visits.visitorid NOT IN (SELECT Visits.visitorid FROM Visits,Visitors WHERE Visits.visitorid=Visitors.visitorid and candidateid in (32) and visittime<1275721200 and (omit=0 or omit>=1275807599) AND Visitors.segmentid=9); It's basically counting unique visitors, and it's doing that by counting the visitors for today and then substracting those that have been here before. If you know of a better way to do this, let me know. I just don't understand why sometimes it can be so quick, and other times takes so long - even with the same exact query under the same server load. Here's the EXPLAIN on this query. As you can see it's using the indexes I've set up: id select_type table type possible_keys key key_len ref rows Extra 1 PRIMARY Visits range visittime_visitorid,visitorid visittime_visitorid 4 NULL 82500 Using where; Using index 1 PRIMARY Visitors eq_ref PRIMARY,cand_visitor_omit PRIMARY 8 statsdb.Visits.visitorid 1 Using where 2 DEPENDENT SUBQUERY Visits ref visittime_visitorid,visitorid visitorid 8 func 1 Using where 2 DEPENDENT SUBQUERY Visitors eq_ref PRIMARY,cand_visitor_omit PRIMARY 8 statsdb.Visits.visitorid 1 Using where I tried to optimize the query a few weeks ago and came up with a variation that consistently took about 2 seconds, but in practice it ended up taking more time since 90% of the time the old query returned much quicker. Two seconds per query is too long because we are calling the query up to 50 times per page load, with different time periods. Could the quick behavior be due to the query being saved in the query cache? I tried running 'RESET QUERY CACHE' and 'FLUSH TABLES' between my benchmark tests and I was still getting quick results most of the time. Note: last night while running the query I got an error: Unable to save result set. My initial research shows that may be due to a corrupt table that needs repair. Could this be the reason for the behavior I'm seeing? In case you want server info: Accessing via PHP 4.4.4 MySQL 4.1.22 All tables are InnoDB We run optimize table on all tables weekly The sum of both the tables used in the query is 500 MB MySQL config: key_buffer = 350M max_allowed_packet = 16M thread_stack = 128K sort_buffer = 14M read_buffer = 1M bulk_insert_buffer_size = 400M set-variable = max_connections=150 query_cache_limit = 1048576 query_cache_size = 50777216 query_cache_type = 1 tmp_table_size = 203554432 table_cache = 120 thread_cache_size = 4 wait_timeout = 28800 skip-external-locking innodb_file_per_table innodb_buffer_pool_size = 3512M innodb_log_file_size=100M innodb_log_buffer_size=4M

  • Clean install of IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003 ignoring 'web.config'?

    - by Vario
Hi, Any help with this would be really appreciated! As the title suggests, I'm running a brand new install of Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6 and I'm basically attempting to mirror a live web server onto a new internal development server, which runs the same setup. It's an ASP.NET site that relies heavily on URL rewriting (using Intelligencia). ASP.NET is set to run on v2.0.50727 on both servers. I've tried intentionally introduce syntax errors into the web.config and it just appears to be ignoring them completely, so given IIS 6 doesn't read the web.config, the rest of the site doesn't work at all (I get a 404 error, as a 'Default.aspx' doesn't exist since the web.config handles the default page rewriting). Having looked at the Application Mapping, '.config' files are set to use the default 'c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll' which exists. Is there anything else I may be missing? Thanks in advance.

  • Mootools 1.2.4 delegation not working in IE8...?

    - by michael
Hey there everybody-- So I have a listbox next to a form. When the user clicks an option in the select box, I make a request for the related data, returned in a JSON object, which gets put into the form elements. When the form is saved, the request goes thru and the listbox is rebuilt with the updated data. Since it's being rebuilt I'm trying to use delegation on the listbox's parent div for the onchange code. The trouble I'm having is with IE8 (big shock) not firing the delegated event. I have the following HTML: <div id="listwrapper" class="span-10 append-1 last"> <select id="list" name="list" size="20"> <option value="86">Adrian Franklin</option> <option value="16">Adrian McCorvey</option> <option value="196">Virginia Thomas</option> </select> </div> and the following script to go with it: window.addEvent('domready', function() { var jsonreq = new Request.JSON(); $('listwrapper').addEvent('change:relay(select)', function(e) { alert('this doesn't fire in IE8'); e.stop(); var status= $('statuswrapper').empty().addClass('ajax-loading'); jsonreq.options.url = 'de_getformdata.php'; jsonreq.options.method = 'post'; jsonreq.options.data = {'getlist':'<?php echo $getlist ?>','pkey':$('list').value}; jsonreq.onSuccess = function(rObj, rTxt) { status.removeClass('ajax-loading'); for (key in rObj) { status.set('html','You are currently editing '+rObj['cname']); if ($chk($(key))) $(key).value = rObj[key]; } $('lalsoaccomp-yes').set('checked',(($('naccompkey').value > 0)?'true':'false')); $('lalsoaccomp-no').set('checked',(($('naccompkey').value > 0)?'false':'true')); } jsonreq.send(); }); }); (I took out a bit of unrelated stuff). So this all works as expected in firefox, but IE8 refuses to fire the delegated change event on the select element. If I attach the change function directly to the select, then it works just fine. Am I missing something? Does IE8 just not like the :relay? Sidenote: I'm very new to mootools and javascripting, etc, so if there's something that can be improved code-wise, please let me know too.. Thanks!

  • Does Microsoft hate firefox? ASP.Net gridview performance in firefox bug?

    - by Maxim Gershkovich
Could someone please explain the significant difference in speed between a firefox updatepanel async postback and one performed in IE? Average Firefox Postback Time For 500 objects: 1.183 Second Average IE Postback Time For 500 objects: 0.295 Seconds Using firebug I can see that the majority of this time in FireFox is spent on the server side. A total of 1.04 seconds. Given this fact the only thing I can assume is causing this problem is the way that ASP.Net renders its controls between the two browsers. Has anyone run into this problem before? • What to name 2 methods with same signatures

    - by coffeeaddict
Initially I had a method in our DL that would take in the object it's updating like so: internal void UpdateCash(Cash Cash) { using (OurCustomDbConnection conn = CreateConnection("UpdateCash")) { conn.CommandText = @"update Cash set captureID = @captureID, ac_code = @acCode, captureDate = @captureDate, errmsg = @errorMessage, isDebit = @isDebit, SourceInfoID = @sourceInfoID, PayPalTransactionInfoID = @payPalTransactionInfoID, CreditCardTransactionInfoID = @CreditCardTransactionInfoID where id = @cashID"; conn.AddParam("@captureID", cash.CaptureID); conn.AddParam("@acCode", cash.ActionCode); conn.AddParam("@captureDate", cash.CaptureDate); conn.AddParam("@errorMessage", cash.ErrorMessage); conn.AddParam("@isDebit", cyberCash.IsDebit); conn.AddParam("@PayPalTransactionInfoID", cash.PayPalTransactionInfoID); conn.AddParam("@CreditCardTransactionInfoID", cash.CreditCardTransactionInfoID); conn.AddParam("@sourceInfoID", cash.SourceInfoID); conn.AddParam("@cashID", cash.Id); conn.ExecuteNonQuery(); } } My boss felt that creating an object every time just to update one or two fields is overkill. But I had a couple places in code using this. He recommended using just UpdateCash and sending in the ID for CAsh and field I want to update. Well the problem is I have 2 places in code using my original method. And those 2 places are updating 2 completely different fields in the Cash table. Before I was just able to get the existing Cash record and shove it into a Cash object, then update the properties I wanted to be updated in the DB, then send back the cash object to my method above. I need some advice on what to do here. I have 2 methods and they have the same signature. I'm not quite sure what to rename these because both are updating 2 completely different fields in the Cash table: internal void UpdateCash(int cashID, int paypalCaptureID) { using (OurCustomDbConnection conn = CreateConnection("UpdateCash")) { conn.CommandText = @"update Cash set CaptureID = @paypalCaptureID where id = @cashID"; conn.AddParam("@captureID", paypalCaptureID); conn.ExecuteNonQuery(); } } internal void UpdateCash(int cashID, int PayPalTransactionInfoID) { using (OurCustomDbConnection conn = CreateConnection("UpdateCash")) { conn.CommandText = @"update Cash set PaymentSourceID = @PayPalTransactionInfoID where id = @cashID"; conn.AddParam("@PayPalTransactionInfoID", PayPalTransactionInfoID); conn.ExecuteNonQuery(); } } So I thought hmm, maybe change the names to these so that they are now unique and somewhat explain what field its updating: UpdateCashOrderID UpdateCashTransactionInfoID ok but that's not really very good names. And I can't go too generic, for example: UpdateCashTransaction(int cashID, paypalTransactionID) What if we have different types of transactionIDs that the cash record holds besides just the paypalTransactionInfoID? such as the creditCardInfoID? Then what? Transaction doesn't tell me what kind. And furthermore what if you're updating 2 fields so you have 2 params next to the cashID param: UpdateCashTransaction(int cashID, paypalTransactionID, someOtherFieldIWantToUpdate) see my frustration? what's the best way to handle this is my boss doesn't like my first route?

  • Change the size of the panel dynamically

    - by C. Karunarathne
    Hi! I am implementing an application that needs to drag and drop image boxes in a panel.Image boxes are added dynamically from the program and so I have set the autoscroll property to true in panel.But when I have drag out the boxes at bottom in the panel the panel size got reduced.I have put autosize property false in panel.The panel is docked in another panel.I want to set the size of panel at run time.How can I achieve this. public form1(int[,] dummy, int columnSize, int rowSize) { this.dummy= dummy; numOfColumns = columnSize; numOfRows = rowSize; getData(); addIds = addIdArray; data = mylist; InitializeComponent(); //panel1.MinimumSize = new Size(columnSize * 40, rowSize * 40); //panel1.Height = rowSize * 40; //panel1.Width = columnSize * 40; //panel4.Height = rowSize * 40; //panel4.Width = columnSize * 40; int x, y; Structures.EmptyRectSpace space = new Structures.EmptyRectSpace(); for (int i = 0; i < data.Count; i++)// set picture boxes { space = (Structures.EmptyRectSpace)data[i]; x = space.startingJ; y = space.startingI; int h, w; h = space.length; w = space.width; p = new PictureBox(); p.Width = w * 40; p.Height = h * 40; p.BackColor = Color.DarkGreen; p.Image = Properties.Resources.v; p.BorderStyle = BorderStyle.FixedSingle; p.Name = addIdArray[i].ToString(); p.Location = new Point((x + 1 - w) * 40, (y + 1 - h) * 40); this.panel1.Controls.Add(p); } foreach (Control c in this.panel1.Controls) { if (c is PictureBox) { c.MouseDown += new MouseEventHandler(pictureBox1_MouseDown); } } this.panel1.DragOver += new System.Windows.Forms.DragEventHandler(this.panel1_DragOver); panel1.DragOver += new DragEventHandler(panel1_DragOver); panel1.DragDrop += new DragEventHandler(panel1_DragDrop); panel1.AllowDrop = true; panel2.AllowDrop = true; foreach (Control c in this.panel2.Controls) { c.MouseDown += new MouseEventHandler(pictureBox1_MouseDown); } this.panel2.DragOver += new System.Windows.Forms.DragEventHandler(this.panel2_DragOver); panel2.DragOver += new DragEventHandler(panel2_DragOver); panel2.DragDrop += new DragEventHandler(panel2_DragDrop); } This is the constructor of the form that contained panel.When it loaded the picture boxes must be added to the panel and there drag drop events of panel are implemented. Please give me a helping hand..

  • UITableView: Mixing static and dynamic cells

    - by AlexR
I am trying to mix dynamic and static cells in a grouped table view: I would like to get two sections with static cells at the top followed by a section of dynamic cells (please refer to the screenshot below). I have set the table view contents to static cells. I designed the static cells in Interface Builder and gave them identifiers related to their section and row: "section0static0", "section0static1", "section1static0" and "section1static1". I named the dynamic cell "section2dynamic". My delegate methods, in which I am trying to return the correct cell identifier (static or dynamic) are as follows: - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { switch (section) { case 0: return 2; break; case 1: return 2; break; case 2: return 0; break; default: break; } return 0; } - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @""; if (indexPath.section <= 1) CellIdentifier = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"section%istatic%i",indexPath.section,indexPath.row]; else CellIdentifier = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"section%idynamic",indexPath.section]; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier forIndexPath:indexPath]; return cell; } Edit Based on AppleFreak's advice I have changed my code as follows: - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell"; UITableViewCell *cell; if (indexPath.section <= 1) { // section <= 1 indicates static cells cell = [super tableView:tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath]; } else { // section > 1 indicates dynamic cells CellIdentifier = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"section%idynamic",indexPath.section]; cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier forIndexPath:indexPath]; } return cell; } However, my app crashes with error message Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'UITableView dataSource must return a cell from tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath:' for section 0 and row 0. The cell returned from cell = [super tableView:tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath] for section 0 and row 0 is nil. What is wrong with my code? Could there be any problems with my outlets? I haven't set any outlets because I am subclassing UITableViewController and supposedly do not any outlets for tableview to be set (?). Any suggestions on how to better do it?

  • WPF style problem with custom control and textbox-derived class

    - by Martin
I had the following situation: main application has app.xaml, which sets the style for TextBox controls a custom control is implemented in a separate DLL, and uses several TextBox controls The main application's TextBox style is applied to the custom control's TextBox controls. Cool! My problem comes in because I need to use a class derived from TextBox in the custom control. Now the main app's TextBox style is no longer applied. Can the custom control DLL have something like "app.xaml" where I can set the style for all my derived TextBox controls? Or can the main application somehow set the style for all TextBox-derived classes? Thanks!

  • How can I bind a custom property of a windows form to a second property?

    - by jeroko
I want to bind a custom property of a windows form to a second property, so when I update the former the latter gets the same value. This is the simplest example of what I'm trying to do: public partial class Form2 : Form { public string MyTargetProperty { get; set; } public string OtherProperty { get; set; } public Form2() { InitializeComponent(); this.DataBindings.Add("MyTargetProperty", this, "OtherProperty"); } private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { MyTargetProperty = "test"; Console.WriteLine("OtherProperty " + OtherProperty); } } When I click button1 I should be able to see that 'OtherProperty' has the same value as 'MyTargetProperty'. Am I doing something wrong? Do I miss something?

  • Copy 2 databases without detach in SQL 2005

    - by molgan
Hello I have a server with live databases, and I have a test-server where I sometimes restore databases from the live one, to get fresh data. But this way I have to set up all the users again, I have about 4 different users with different permissions that need set again. Is there some way to do this a better way without using detach and attach, since I cant take the databases offline on the live-server? Prefered some thing I could run that "re-fills" the tables with fresh data. No need to redo stored procedures and rights. /M

  • UNC path to a folder on my local computer

    - by xt_20
Hi all, What's the UNC path to a folder on my local computer, and how can I access it? I have tried: 1. Security for the folder -- set to Everyone Full Control (for now!) 2. Sharing permissions -- set to Everyone Full Control (for now!) I can see the folder in \, but can't go in ( is not accessible.) Error message: "You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access pernmissions. The network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help." My computer is not connected to a network.

  • SQL Server Error: maximum number of prefixes. The maximum is 3.

    - by Ian Boyd
Trying to run a cross-server update: UPDATE cmslive.CMSFintrac.dbo.lsipos SET PostHistorySequencenNmber = ( SELECT TransactionNumber FROM Transactions WHERE Transactions.TransactionDate = cmslive.CMSFintrac.dbo.lsipos.TransactionDate) Gives the error: Server: Msg 117, Level 15, State 2, Line 5 The number name 'cmslive.CMSFintrac.dbo.lsipos' contains more than the maximum number of prefixes. The maximum is 3. What gives? Note: Rearranging the query into a less readable join form: UPDATE cmslive.CMSFintrac.dbo.lsipos SET PostHistorySequenceNumber = B.TransactionNumber FROM cmslive.CMSFintrac.dbo.lsipos A INNER JOIN Transactions B ON A.TransactionDate = B.TransactionDate does not give an error.

  • How to cause bindings to be updated, particularly for derived values?

    - by rrhartjr
I'm using some CLR objects that use the INotifyPropertyChanged interface and use the PropertyChanged function to update in WPF bindings. Pretty boilerplate: protected void RaisePropertyChanged(string propertyName) { if (PropertyChanged != null) { PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName)); } } Then the property: private double m_TotalWidgets = 0; public double TotalWidgets { get { return m_TotalWidgets; } set { m_TotalWidgets = value; RaisePropertyChanged("TotalWidgets"); } } Is there a better way to update a derived value or even the whole class? Say I had a calculated value: public double ScaledWidgets { get { return TotalWidgets * CONSTANT_FACTOR; } } I would have to fire ScaledWidget's PropertyChanged when TotalWidgets is updated, eg: set { m_TotalWidgets = value; RaisePropertyChanged("TotalWidgets"); RaisePropertyChanged("ScaledWidgets"); } Is there a better way to do this? Is it possible "invalidate" the whole object, especially if there are a lot of derived values? I think it would be kind of lame to fire 100 PropertyChanged events.
