    I'm interested in improving security of my TurboGears 2.2 application so that when user changes his password, it logs him out from all sessions and he must login again. When user changes password on browser 1, he must relogin on browser 2, too. Experiments show that this is not the case, especially if browser 2 had "remember me" enabled. It's standard quickstarted app using repoze.who. It seems maybe I need to change AuthTktCookiePlugin, but don't see a way to do it without much rewiring.

The Admin will also change the Password every 90 days. Due to security reasons, i cannot maintain the admin credentials in my app.config file. What else would be best idea ?

    I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

I can SSH to other machines on the network without any problems, and other machines can SSH to the problematic one as well.   • OSX Server 10.5 - Cannot log into Workgroup Manager - diradmin password is correct

    I've got a setup where I am trying to rescue a broken AD. We can no longer authenticate on the Workgroup manager, with passwords being rejected all the time - even though it is correct. I can connect using the workgroup manager on another server and I get the user list as expected, but when I click the padlock to make changes, I get the following screen: The problem is, I know the password is correct, I just used it to connect to the server in the first place. I can log into the server using the local admin, and services such as AFP, VPN and SMB continue to serve users. I have about 300 or so users on this server, and I would very much like to avoid having a rebuild. As there is much configuration that has been done without my knowledge (it's a client machine), I'd like to attempt to fix it, and then create another server and migration OD off this broken machine, then decommission it "gently". Ultimately this would mean no disruption of services. What I'd like it some tips as to how to fix the problem with authenticating to make changes in the work group manager, and maintenance on open directory in general. Thanks

  • Subversion Edge LDAP (require CAC Certificate not Username and Password)

    What I've Done: I've successfully installed and configured Subversion Edge 3.1.2 with LDAP support on a Windows 2008 server. I have configured LDAP users and am able to use LDAP credentials to work on repositories just fine. No issues whatsoever. Works great! What I Want To Do: I've been searching for several hours now in hopes to find some information on how to configure Subversion Edge server to require client certificates for user authentication against an LDAP environment. I have not found anything yet that gives me an indication of how to do it. I know there are SVN clients that are capable of prompting for CAC certificates but I cannot figure out how to set my server up to require it. NOTE: CAC authentication is already setup and working in the windows environment. Desired Outcome: When running svn commands that require authentication against my Subversion Edge Server I want it to prompt me for my CAC certificate instead of my Active Directory username and password. If anyone has any information on this I'd greatly appreciate it. EDIT: I'm still digging so if I find out anything I'll update this question with what I found.

    I have a new RHEL4 Linux box that I am using to copy data to old Solaris 2.6 and RHEL3 Linux boxes with scp. I have found that with the same setup, it works for some users but not for others.   • Correct MySQL username/password, but getting Access Denied error when run from script

    I'm currently trying to run the following command from within a shell script. /usr/bin/mysql -u username -ppassword -h localhost database It works perfectly fine when executed manually, and not from within a script. When I try to execute a script that contains that command, I get the following error: ERROR 1045 (28000) at line 3: Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES) I literally copied and pasted the working command into the script. Why the error? As a sidenote: the ultimate intent is to run the script with cron. EDIT: Here is a stripped down version of my script that I'm trying to run. This is there for the "here document". When removed, the command works fine. The problem is that I need << EOF there so that the MySQL queries will run.

  • HP Power Manager SMTP setup doesn't have space for username & password

    Is there some way to configure HP Power Manager to not assume that there's an email server running locally? We recently acquired an HP T1500 G3 UPS, which we're trying to control using HP Power Manager 4.2. The main reason we wanted to get this particular UPS is because it says it's capable of sending notifications (of the "Yo, the power's out, you may want to look into it" type) via email, as opposed to SNMP. Turns out, that's not entirely true. The server is running Windows Server 2003. It is not running an email server of any sort - we do that via two different providers. Outlook email is provided by Verizon, and our SMTP email service is provided by a small local company. When we use CDO to send auto-generated notification emails, we have to provide the SMTP server name, port, username, and password. The HP Power Manager interface only allows us to enter the server name and the username. Thus, not surprisingly, the emails never go anywhere. Help?

It is generated on the computer where access was attempted. The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network). The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon. I checked the services and they are all logging in as local system or network service. Nothing for administrator. Anyone have any idea how I tell where these are coming from?     Hi, Its been a couple of weeks that some sites just keeps on hanging. e.g. Facebooks = static.ak.fbcdn.net FLicker = l.yimg.com GoogleAnalytics I've googled and found many problems like this and some answers which are outdated or just doesn't solve the problem. I did: Cookies clearing, ran cc cleaner and several other nifty methods. None solved my problem?? Only with facebook, if I enter https:// manually instead of http:// on every url on facebook, it works and when it does the redirection to http://, everytime I have to type 's' on the address bar to make it https:// It is driving me nuts coz I'm developing Facebook App and this problem in being pain in my ass. What might be the reason for these CDNs hanging behaviour??     I have a .NET application that I want to use as a client to call an SSL SOAP web service. I have been supplied with a valid client certificate called foo.pfx. There is a password on the certificate itself. I've located the certificate at the following location: C:\certs\foo.pfx To call the web service, I need to attach the client certificate. Here's the code: public X509Certificate GetCertificateFromDisk(){ try{ string certPath = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["MyCertPath"].ToString(); //this evaluates to "c:\\certs\\foo.pfx". So far so good. X509Certificate myCert = X509Certificate.CreateFromCertFile(certPath); // exception is raised here! "The specified network password is not correct" return cert; } catch (Exception ex){ throw; } } It sounds like the exception is around the .NET application trying to read the disk. The method CreateFromCertFile is a static method that should create a new instance of X509Certificate. The method isn't overridden, and has only one argument: the path.   • Windows server 2003 default administrator password

    Sorry if this is an overly simplistic question, but I'm a bit stuck here. :) I need a windows machine for me to do some programming for class. Since I have my Macbook with me everywhere I go, I figured that it would be easiest to install a vm. And since I can get a copy of Windows server 2k3 for free via dreamspark, I thought I'd try to do that. Here's what happened though: I installed windows server (disk one). When the system booted up, vmware automatically installed VMWare tools and prompted me to restart. There was also a prompt to start the installation of disc 2, but I figured it would be better to restart before doing that. When the machine came back up, I was prompted to log in as the administrator. The problem is that I wasn't prompted to make an administrator account or password. Is there a default password I can use? I've tried all the obvious ones (blank, password, etc) and googling, but I didn't come up with anything.

As you can see, the end result is 4 tuples but it seems like it should be a fast join by using the available index after it limited it down with the name clause, although very complex.

  • ASP.NET Membership ChangePassword control - Need to check for previous password

    Hi guys, I have a new table that hold old passwords, I need to check if there is a match. If there is a match I need the ChangePassword contol to NOT change the password. I need to tell the user that this password was used and pic a new one. I can't seem to be able to interrupt the control from changing the password. Maybe I am using the wrong event. Here is a piece of my code, or how I wish it would work.
