• iPhone Curl Left and Curl Right transitions

  I am looking for a way to do a UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp or UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlDown transition on the iPhone but instead of top to bottom, do it from the left to right (or top/bottom in landscape mode). I've seen this asked aroud the internet a few times but none sems to get an answer. However I feel this is doable. I have tried changing the View's transform and the view.layer's transform but that didn't affect the transition. Since the transition changes when the device changes orientation I presume there is a way to fool the device to use the landscape transition in portrait mode and vice versa?

• Android ListView - Slide Subview in from Right?

  I have a ListView. When I select an item in the ListView, I would like to have a Subview slide in from the right, the way that it does in many Apps. I have been searching for tutorials on this topic but am spinning my wheels. Maybe Android uses a term different than "Subview" ? • UIActivityIndicatorView is not display at the right time

  I'm making a form that allows the user to enter datas in my IOS application. This form allows the user to enter a lot of repetive datas. So, sometimes, the process takes time and I would like to display a UIActivityIndicatorView during this process. Unfortunalty the spinner appears only one second or less at the end of the process, not at the beginning as expected. • Handling 2 buttons submit Actions in a single View/Form - ASP.NET MVC 2 RTM

  I have a View in which the user is able to upload a file to the server. In this view I also have 2 buttons: one to Upload a file and other to Download the last file imported. In my Controller I created 2 action methods: Import and Export. How could I manage to redirect each button click to the proper action method in my Controller? I have tried Html.ActionLink: <%= Html.ActionLink("Upload", "Import", "OracleFile")%> <%= Html.ActionLink("Download", "Export", "OracleFile")%> Html.ActionLink didn't do the trick. The action links were taking me to the right Action methods but they were generating a GET request. This way Request.Files.Count = 0. I need a POST request. Note: the most intriguing part is that the upload was working and all of sudden it stopped working. I've seen that some people are having the same problem with FileUpload tasks in which the Request.Files is always Empty. I think it's empty because you need a post to the server. Isn't it?

• Showing right sub-ul of parent ul menu

  Hello, i have this html menu: <ul id='main'> <li class='active current' id='lighty'> <a href='/'>Lighty</a> <ul> <li class='sub'> <a href='/'>Hem</a> </li> </ul> </li> <li id='community'> <a href='/community'>Community</a> </li> </ul> And this jquery: $("#menu ul > li").mouseenter(function(){ id = $(this).attr("id"); $("#menu #main li").removeClass("active"); $(this).addClass("active"); }).mouseleave(function(){ id = $(this).attr("id"); menu.timers[id] = setTimeout(function(){$("#menu #main li#"+id).removeClass("active");}, 2000); }); What i am trying to acomplish is that when i hover one of the li's in the main ul the child ul of that li should be displayed. and when i move the mouse out of the li or the child ul the menu should be visible for 2 seconds. It works through the main li button but if on the child ul and move out it just disapears, it doesnt wait for two seconds. The waiting two seconds is so you can go in to the menu if you accidentaly move the mouse out of it. Can anybody help me to fix this error? Maybe you have a better solution?   Hi, I am using the jquery validation plugin and want to use the errorPlacement function to add error messages to the fields title attribute and display just a ? next to the field. This works great when the form is submitted with the submit button but when any of the following events are triggered: - onfocusout - click - onkeyup The validation checks are run but it skips the errorPlacement function and adds the full error message after the field, like the default behaviour.   I am trying to update RichEdit so that it detects URL and enables clicking on it to open in the browser.   I'm confused regarding each() and .each()... I think I need to use both, but I'm not sure how... Basically, I have a series of checkboxes and when they're checked, I want to get the id of the closest table row and add it to an array that I can then serialize and pass to a function. • How to call a new thread from button click

  Hi, I'm trying to call a thread on a button click (btn_more) but i cant get it right. The thread is to get some data and update the images. The problem i have is if i only update 4 or 5 images then it works fine. But if i load more than 5 images i will get a force close. At times when the internet is slow I will face the same problem too. Can please help me to solve this problem or provide me some guidance?   FastCGI is old but it still seems like it must be the right answer in some cases. It seems like the preferred deployment of Perl/Catalyst web applications is with FastCGI. FastCGI was popular with Rails but seems to no longer be. (Why?) The Java world doesn't seem to have anything to do with FastCGI. Is something like Tomcat way better than Apache+FastCGI?   Hi everybody, I ran into a problem with adding an event listener. I wrote a Firefox plugin a while ago for my bachelor thesis. It was based on a different attacker model than you would normally expect. In this scenario the attacker was the service provider (like Facebook, Google,...), who reads all your private data stored on their site (via JS). My final solution was to temporally allow JS (while the page loads and after an user action occured). To observe the interaction I used event listener, which worked very well so far. But last week I noticed that my approach doesn't work with web sites which are using a frameset (I added the event listener to the body...). So I tried to add the listener to the frameset respectively to the frame. But the clicks are only noticed when you actually click on the frame... (eg resize the frame with your mouse) But I want to register clicks on the document loaded inside the frame. I already tried the .frameElement. Sadly it seems that Firefox doesn't like my (or, which is more likely, I'm too stuipd :) ) and claims there are no frames... Could anyone tell me how to add an event listener to the document inside a frame? • (solved) jQuery click and drag/scroll window: jagged movement

  Edit: derp, using pageX/Y instead of clientX/Y -- apparently scrollBy expects input with that offset rather than the other. Jaggy movement gone. I am getting jagged movement when doing small scroll increments using the following bindings. Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to smooth this out? FYI, its intermittent. It seems like, if I click and hold for a second, then drag at a decent speed there are no problems. Edit: What the hell? I get this output on debug... obvious jog backwards and forwards.   Hi, I am trying out Prince with the Princely plugin, which is supposed to format templates that have the .pdf into a PDF generator. Right now, it says cannot find action. What do I need to do to fix this?

  I am using jabber bot written in python to log some MUC talks. Sometimes it drops on some network or XMPP problems. In this case I have to start it again by myself. The goal is to make it "self-respawning". I have some variants about how to do it. Bot is one process. Another process monitors its activity and starts it if bot died. Main process spawns bot subprocess and controls it. Also I think daemonizing bot process is useful here. Platform is Linux, as you could guess. What is the right way to solve this problem?
