• Java: Storing information from database. What collections are appropriate?

  I write an application in Java. I get form a database a table (clients) which contains fields like: name | surname | adress What is the best solution to store this data in my app? Should I create an object for each client and store these objects in a list or set? The table contains about 100 records and it's already sorted. Thanks in advance.

  Hi i tried to implement a servlet with servlet (in tomcat 6) which act as as a proxy (for browser), it takes the parsed url, use apache httpclient to get the result & push it back to the client (browser), with http it works well, doesnt work with https , seems the problem concerns unsupported CONNECT method in servlet-api & servlet even doesn't see the request is there any solution/workaround for this? thanx in advanced

• UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend anything else I'm missing?

  So I know this has been beaten to death but I still can't figure out a solution. I have my UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend set to <true/> in the Info.plist and still both in the simulator as well as on an iPhone 4 device, the app goes into standby instead of terminating? Any ideas of what else could one do to get it to terminate? Perhaps are there methods that I need to remove from the app delegate? Any ideas?

  So I am having a very difficult time finding a solution to this problem. Is there any way that I can inherit macros from another project. For example, for the post build I would like to use the macro for the RemoteMachine address that is located in one project in all the other projects.   Hey guys, I'm looking for a simple solution to place a draggable element inside of a box container. When the user begins to interact with the draggable, the draggable element should remain constrained to a circular shape, within the container. At a complete loss as to how I should accomplish this.   Is there any way to stick child button element to bottom of parent element when number of child elements vary? Parent element is fixed height, and could be scrolled vertically in case of child overflow. In that case, button should be at the end of child list, but in case there is no children, or children size don't push parent element to overflow, it should be at bottom of parent element. Is there pure css solution for this? Thanks

• How to link latest stable version of libCURL using vc++2010

  On 2 separate machines in completely different environments (work, home) I've been unable to compile libCURL out of the box. Running nmake -f Makefile.vc mode=dll VC=10, I get an unresolved external symbol errors for _IdnToAscii and _IdnToUnicode. I believe the definitions are in Normaliz.lib, which is referenced in LFLAGS, but it either isn't finding it or the version I have doesn't have those functions. But I don't see any option to download this file...anyone have a good solution short of commenting out the 2 lines that use these functions?

  Hi, I have an assembly and want to restrict the assemblies and applications that can call/use this assemblies functionality. Can anyone provide detailed information on how this can be achieved ? From what I have read on the internet this is not possible because any "fully trusted" assembly will automatically be granted access. I am using .NET 2.0 and 3.5 and the solution needs to be compatible with both versions of the framework. Thanks in advance ;-)

  Hi, is there a way - much like the way i can see the result of preprocessing when using 'gcc -E' - to see what my objects look like once the compiler compiled them into object files? I am not too good in reading assembler, so an advice to get the results as text would be nice .. or at least a little 'howto read the constructor intructions' or 'howto find the constructor' ... I am talking about gcc/g++, but a solution including msvc would be fine. Thanks!
