  • Can I prevent IMAP from grabbing files over X mb using PHP?

    I'm building a little script that will connect to an IMAP account and grab the content of the email and also the attachments. It works well for the most part, but when a really large file comes in, it causes the script to time out. Is there any way that I can check the file size before trying to grab it? I think that would be the simplest solution. Otherwise, I may have to upgrade to a server that has more memory.

    In Visual Studio 2008 I know its possible to have one solution with two (or more) projects. Is it possible OR How is it possible for the projects to share common class files? For example - Project 1 has a log file handling class. Can Project 2 reference it? My hope is to increase code re-use and avoid two copies of the same thing that need to be maintained. I need to dynamically generate an XML file on the fly using Java objects, in the same way JAXB generates Java classes from XML files, however the opposite direction. Is there something out there already like this? Alternatively, a way in which one could 'save' a state of java classes. The goal I am working towards is a dynamically changing GUI, where a user can redesign their GUI in the same way you can with iGoogle.

  • Efficient quaternion angular velocity

    I have an orientation expressed with a quaternion and an angular velocity expressed as either a quaternion or a number (radians per second around the original orientation). I understand how to do this using conversion to axis-angle but that method is rather computationally expensive and is not a realistic option. How would I go about modifying the orientation quaternion given a time interval (in seconds)? I need a solution for both cases (the quaternion and the number).

    I am researching using silverlight 4 to develop a desktop application that can be installed from a browser window, now the tricky part is that I want a lightweight database embedded into the application. The database should install with the rest of the application and it should ideally work on both windows and mac systems. Originally I was thinking sqlite would be suitable for this but I have learned that it is not compatible with silverlight. Does anyone know of a solution for this?
