redirect web app results to own application

Is it possible to redirect a web apps results to a second application? I cannot parse the html source. It contains the javascript functions that execute the queries but all the content is probably server side. I hope this makes sense. The owner has made the script available but I am not sure how this helps. Can I using .net call the site and redirect results perhaps to a file or database? the app accesses one of googles apis and performs searches/queries and returns results which are displayed on the site. Now all the javascript functions that perform these queries are listed in the source but I do not know javascript so it does not make much sense to me. I have used the documentation which uses the oauth protocol to access the api and have implemented that in my web app but it took me nearly a week to get the request token right and now to send requests to the api, sometimes I get one result back and sometimes none. It is frustrating me and the owner of the web app has given use of his script but he says all that happens is that my browser interacts with the google api and not his server. So I thought why not have my web app call his, since his interacts with the API flawlessly and have the results sent to my app to save in a database. I have very little experience here so pardon my ignorance

ZendFramework Headscript Helper - Make scripts unique

How can I ensure that the headScript and headStyle helper include css files only once when added? The reason I am asking is that I would like to display some contents in a lightbox and all Flashmassages.E.g. notifications like profile successfully edited. To display flashmessages in the lightbox i would like to check at the top of my layout script if they are set, in case they are i would like to attach the required javascript library using the headScript helper. The problem is that I have no control about the scripts which were already added at this point. Maybe at a page where the library is needed for an other use case, it has already been added with addScript. How can I ensure all scripts are added only once to my helper? I already checked that these helpers extend Zend_View_Helper_Placeholder_Container_Standalone which uses an ArrayObject internally to hold the data and provides getters & setter to the array object. Maybe a solution here would be to check each time when adding a script file if it already exists using the ArrayObject?

Why is my long polling code for a notification system not updating in real time? PHP MYSQL

I am making a notification system similar to the red notification on facebook. It should update the number of messages sent to a user in real time. When the message MYSQL table is updated, it should instantly notify the user, but it does not. There does not seem to be an error inserting into MYSQL because on page refresh the notifications update just fine. Manipulating/changing adressbar link Help

I am out of my own "ideas" going through this. I have a album viewer. When you click next I want the adressbar to hang with it, e.g if you start on ?photoid=1, and click next (next picture appends and stuff), and then i want it to say ?photoid=2. Now I cant make it say ?photoid=2 without changing/manipulating, and this you cant do without HTML5. I have made a script in HTML5 that works fine, but then I need to take care of those who dont have HTML5(only chrome, ff4 etc supports html5) Made the script from this( https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/Manipulating_the_browser_history ) I thought of adding #photoid=2 so, ?photoid=1#photoid=2 and then check if theres anything in # then use that instead of the $_GET.. But apparently you cannot do that as # is client side handled and never sent to the server. So what should I then do? Any suggestions please to make a workaround this? I checked facebook, what they did to IE users, and I could hear that it "clicked" (the annoying click sound from IE) twice.. the first was to get to the next picture, the second click sound changed the adressbar?!(how?). And then I also thought hey, html5 is only supported in ff4, and I got ff3.6, and they manipulate the adress bar url when you browse through the album photos, exactly like how I wanted (and what I have written for but it only works in Chrome and ff4..?). How could they do that?

I would like to have a button on a web page with the following behavior: On the first click, open a pop-up. On later clicks, if the pop-up is still open, just bring it to the front. If not, re-open. The below code generally works in Firefox, Safari, and IE8 (see here for Chrome woes). However, I have found a failure mode in Firefox that I don't know how to deal with: If for some reason the user has opened a second tab in the pop-up window and that second tab has focus within that window, the popupWindow.focus() command fails to have any effect. (If the first tab has focus within that window, everything works just great.) IE not showing jquery append() images

Ok, so i took John Raasch's slideshow script and modyfied it too dynamicly fetch images from folders on the server through ajax. The slideshow work like a charm in FF and Chrome but IE is not showing the images. And since IE's javascript debugging possibilities is close to none I cant figure out what is crashing. MySQL Datefields: duplicate or calculate?

We are using a table with a structure imposed upon us more than 10 years ago. We are allowed to add columns, but urged not to change existing columns. Certain columns are meant to represent dates, but are put in different format. Amongst others: * CHAR(6): YYMMDD * CHAR(6): DDMMYY * CHAR(8): YYYYMMDD * CHAR(8): DDMMYYYY * DATE * DATETIME Since we now would like to do some more complex queries, using advanced date functions, my manager proposed to d*uplicate those problem columns* to a proper FORMATTED_OLDCOLUMNNAME column using a DATE or DATETIME format. Is this the way to go? Couldn't we just use the STR_TO_DATE function each time we accessed the columns? To avoid every query having to copy-paste the function, I could still work with a view or a stored procedure, but duplicating data to avoid recalculation sounds wrong. Solutions I see (I guess I prefer 2.2.1) 1. Physically duplicate columns 1.1 In the same table 1.1.1 Added by each script that does a modification (INSERT/UPDATE/REPLACE/...) 1.1.2 Maintained by a trigger on each modification 1.2 In a separate table 1.2.1 Added by each script that does a modification (INSERT/UPDATE/REPLACE/...) 1.2.2 Maintained by a trigger on each modification 2. Disabling Text field with Javascript when value in drop down box is from mysql

Hi I have a simple script in HTML, using a dropdown menu. When the value 1 is selected, the user can write in the text field, if value 2 is selected, it disables the text field. However, i changed the values of the dropdown menu, so that one value was from a mysql table(using PHP) and the other remained 'option value='1''. Yet now neither text field is disabled. Zend Framework: How do I modify/format the form view generated with Zend_Dojo_Form elements

However, now, I want to format the form that is generated with css. Such as grouping some elements and floating left or right, making some input text fields wider/narrower, etc. How? I realize I can modify the view script but it seems like that defeats the purpose of using Zend_Dojo_Form or Zend_Form. Is that a correct assumption?

Upload .txt and keep formating

I have been trying to upload a .txt to my server via a simple php script I made. Everything seems to uploaded correctly, if I open the .txt in Dreamweaver I can see all the formatting is still in tact with spaces and paragraph breaks. The problem I have is when I try to open that file with PHP and import the contents onto my site. I'm not using an editor right now, just a simple div where the contents are echoed. I don't have much experience with uploading/downloading using PHP. Am I not using a command to handle the file contents and keep the initial formatting? In the end I want the user to upload a file, and have PHP read the file and extract certain elements from it based on the number of spaces between paragraph breaks and such. I was able to actually echo the .txt using URLENCODE() which kept the formatting and made all my spaces +'s. Thats the closes I got, but the original file isn't uploaded in the format so I can't do a count for +'s and select x characters after the last +. Hmmm, if someone knows of a script already available that can do this or similar to with me just tweaking that would be awesome.

Java/Python: Integration, problem with looping updating text

Hello! Basically I have a script in Python that grabs the text from an open window using getWindowText() and outputs it to the screen. The python loops so as the text in the window changes, it outputs the changes, so the output of the python will always be up to date with the window text. I'm trying to access this text in my Java program by executing the python script as a process and reading the text it outputs using a buffered reader. For some reason this works fine for the first block of text, but will not read any more after this, it wont read any updates to the text as the python outputs it. Can someone shed some light on this? Error when connecting to hello world yesod example on Windows 8

I start the executable (after building it with cabal) and it says "Application launched, listening on port 3000." Next I connect to it with my web browser and the console says "threadWaitRead requires -threaded on Windows, or use System.IO.hWaitForInput." The web browser never connects.
