  • FireFox Toolbar Open Window in new Tab

    Hi all, I have a Toolbarbutton <toolbarbutton context="TabMenue" id="esbTb_rss_reader" label="News" type="menu"> with a Context menue which comes up when the button is right clickt <menupopup id="TabMenue" > <menuitem label="New Tab" oncommand="esbTb_loadURLNewTab()"/> </menupopup> so this function should open the new window in a new tab function esbTb_loadURLNewTab() { window.open(ClickUrl,'name'); } I don't get it working that the new Window is showing up in a new tab it always opens a new firefox window. I tried also like described in this article to set the browser.link.open_newwindow and browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction preferences but that doesn't bringt anything. And I tried it with all Target attributes which came in my mind. So I'm grateful for any hints, tips what ever this is driving me crazy...

  • JQuery div tag has children in FireFox but not Chrome

    I am using JQuery ajax to load images from a url, display them, and then place a button on top of each image. The code works in firefox, but in chrome, the div parent "photos" that should have all the children(one child div "photo" for each image received from the url) is 0. I have tried read() and load(), but nothing seems to work. If I run alert($('#photos').children().size()); in the Chrome console it returns the children. But at execution it returns 0.   • Getting req.params in order in Express JS

    In Express, is there a way to get the arguments passed from the matching route in the order they are defined in the route? I want to be able to apply all the params from the route to another function.   • Intelligent Merge of two Arrays (3-way-kindof)

    I have to Arrays, each represents a list of Stories. Two users can concurrently modify the order, add or remove Stories, and I want those changes merged. An example should make this clearer Orignial 1,2,3,4,5 UserA (mine) 3,1,2,4,5 (moved story 3 to start) UserB (theirs) 1,2,3,5,4 (moved story 5 forward) The result of the above should be Merge (result) 3,1,2,5,4 In case of conflicts, UserA should always win. I came pretty far with this simple approach. First i deleted whatever mine says i should deleted (that part of the code is not shown, it's trivial), then I iterate of mine, inserting and moving from theirs what is needed (mstories = mine, tstories = theirs): var offset = 0; for (var idx=0;idx<mstories.length;idx++) { var storyId = mstories[idx]; // new story in theirs if (mstories.indexOf(tstories[idx]) == -1) { mstories.splice(idx+1, 0, tstories[idx]); idx--; continue; } // new story in mine? if (tstories.indexOf(storyId) == -1) { tstories.splice(idx+offset, 0, storyId); offset += 1; // story moved } else if (tstories.indexOf(storyId) != idx + offset) { tstories.splice(tstories.indexOf(storyId), 1); tstories.splice(idx+offset, 0, storyId); } } It's close, but it gets confused when too many Stories are moved to the front / back with Stories in between, which the other User touched. I have an extended version which does checks on the original and is smarter - holding 2 offsets, etc - , but I feel like this is a problem that must have a) a name b) a perfect solution and i don't want to re-invent it.

    I succeded to call activity from browser link with tag like this. <a href="myapp://launch.myapp.com/activity2?var1=linkClicked">my app</a> of cource I added actvity setting in AndroidManifest.xml like this. <activity android:name=".Activity2" > <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW"></action> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"></category> <category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE"></category> <data android:host="launch.myapp.com" android:scheme="myapp" android:pathPrefix="/activity2"></data> </intent-filter> </activity> I want to call back from the activity2 with a value. Is there any way to receive some value from the activity that was launched by the browser like above? In other words I want do something like onActivityResult in the browser and get a value from the activity and set the value on the web page which has launched the activity.

  • upload a image and insert directly into CKEditor

    I'd like to create the same kind of function tumblr has for uploading images and then inserting them directly into the WYSIWYG editor. I was planning on using uploadify to upload the image, then I am not sure of the method for inserting into the CKEditor. Has anyone done anything similar or know of a plugin that could do this?     I have the basic html structure: <table> <tbody> <tr class="1"> <td> <p style="font-size:large"> <span class="muted"> This is the first object </span> </p> </td> </tr> <tr class="2"> <td> <p style="font-size:large"> <span class="muted"> This is second object </span> </p> </td> </tr> <tr class="3"> <p style="font-size:large"> <span class="muted"> this is the third object </span> </p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> and then I have check boxes, the functionality i want is, if checkbox 1 is checked, only the tr with class 1 be displayed. if checkbox 2 and 3 are clicked, the tr with class 1 gets hidden and 2, 3 show in the dom. again if checkbox 2,*3* are unchecked and 1 is checked tr with class 2, 3 do not show and 1 is showed. How can this be done in jQuery?

Upon uploading a file, my account.php?action=uploadphotographs echos the number 37, the text field hidFileId should then be updated with this data.   • One-to-many Associations Empty Columns Issue (Ext on Rails)

    I'm playing with rewriting part of a web application in Rails + Ext. However, I'm having trouble getting an associated models' name to display in the grid view. I've been able to successfully convert several models and arrange the views nicely using tabs and Ext's layout helpers. However, I'm in the middle of setting up an association -- I've followed along with Jon Barket's tutorial on how to do this using Ext -- and I've made all the Rails and JS changes suggested (with appropriate name changes for my models,) the result being that the combo box is now being correctly populated with the names of the associated models, and changes are actually written correctly to database, BUT the data doesn't show up in the column, it's just empty. However, the correct data is there in the 'detail' view. Really just wondering if anyone else ran into this, or had any thoughts on what could be happening. Definitely willing to post code if requested; just note that (AFAIK) my changes follow the tutorial pretty closely. Thanks in advance! UPDATE: Alright, slight progress - kind of. I can get the associated model id # displaying properly -- just by modifying the column model slightly. But I can't get the virtual attribute displayed in the main table (in Jon's example it's country_name.) It still goes blank when I change the data source for that column from dataIndex: 'model[associated_model_id]' to dataIndex: 'virtual_attributes[associated_model_name]' ANOTHER UPDATE: Bump. Has NOBODY here tried integrating Ext with Rails?

The question is how can I refer to it? At the moment I have assigned it to a variable named thisObj and access it this way: MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() { var thisObj = this; $.jQuery({success: function(data) { thisObj.myMethod2(); }, ...}); } Is there a better way to access MyClass.this from the closure nested in myMethod2?
