• Adding a new row in between rows in a grid view.

  I have an ASP .net grid view. It has some template columns like a command button, a text box, and a dropdown control. When I click the command button, a new row needs to be inserted below the current row (from where I hit the command button). If I have rows 1 and 2 and I hit the command button in row1 a new row needs to be inserted between rows 1 and 2 Now in the new row I should be able to select values from dropdown and enter some value in a text box and finally hit my save button. (Which should work fine as I am expecting) The grid view is bound to some data source say for instance a datatable for now. Oneway that I could think about is when Command button is clicked, I can add a new row to the datatable in my server side code and rebind the grid. But I am not sure that, from a UI perspective how I can make sure that the new row goes exactly below the row from where I hit the command button. Any thoughts or comments?

• Managing tabs and their effects.

  I have two separate areas in my form. Left side for radio buttons, combo boxes, etc. Right side for tabs and even tabs within tabs. For each tab selected, I'd like to display different controls on the left side for use in that tab. I've tried using many things, including focus, click, etc. Nothing seems to work the way I intend it to. Especially on the tabs within the tabs. Thank you.

• Polygonal Divs -- Making content overflow in a specific shape?

  Here is the site I'm currently working on: http://willcrichton.net/ If you click on the arrows on each side of the hexagon in the middle, you can see that it transitions left and right using jQuery + jQuery Cycle + jQuery Easing. However, you can also see that it is rather ugly -- because I'm using hexagons and not squares and because divs are square shaped, the content hexagon overlaps with with the background in an unpleasant way. So, my question is: how would I essentially hack a div into a hexagon? That hexagon should be the same size/shape of the content div, and when content is outside the area of the hexagon it should be invisible.

• Why is it so hard to build a gtk programe without console using cmake in windows?

  I'm following the tuto: http://zetcode.com/tutorials/gtktutorial/firstprograms/ It works but each time I double click on the executable,there is a console which I don't want it there. How do I get rid of that console? I tried this: add_executable(Cmd WIN32 cmd.c) But got this fatal error: MSVCRTD.lib(crtexew.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _WinMain@16 referenced in function ___tmainCRTStartup Cmd.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals While using gcc directly works: gcc -o Cmd cmd.c -mwindows .. I'm guessing it has something to do with the entry function: int main( int argc, char *argv[]),but why gcc works? How can I make it work with cmake?

• How to change the view if I am not present in the viewController class?

  I am doing an app with about 6-7 views and their corresponding controllers. I am in a view with a toolbar and button. When I click this button a popup view comes and my control is being moved to the popup view's Controller. But my view is still the same. From this popupview Controller's class, I want to change my original view. But since I am not in my original viewControllers class, I am not able to change it. How can I overcome this? Can anyone plz help me?

  I am attempting to make a program in C which presents a GUI and allows the user to select from a list of applications, which to install on the computer. I can manage the gui, but I've never been taught how to actually issue command line commands. I know with bash its just apt-get install firefox for example, but how do I do such a thing with C? i.e. on click, the program runs 'apt-get install The other problem is I'm not familiar with the proper name for this interaction, so it is hard to search. I wonder how they achieve this. Originally i think it's some sort of image-only pop-up window but then pop-up window seems to update the entire view.   In Visual Studio 2010, you can right-click an aspx page in a web forms app, or on the web forms app itself in the solution explorer, and you get "View in Browser" in your context menu. In ASP.NET MVC projects, this item doesn't seem to be available in the context menu. The only way I know to run the app is to set the MVC app as a startup project and hit CTRL+F5. But, if there are two MVC apps in the solution, this doesn't really work. How do you accomplish this for mvc apps?

At the moment I am adding the Button after the data is bound in Page_Load. The problem is that the data binding methods are not called in postbacks, so the Button disappears when I click on it. Any suggestions on how to do this? Problem is that I need to know some attributes of the grid item to create the Button, so I cannot create it before the data has been bound.

Link to add a new task (in the tasks index page) 2 . when a user click the link, 'tasks/new' action will open up inside a popup 3 . when the user save the new task, I want to close 'new task' popup and refresh the parent page 'tasks/index' so that new task will display I guess, i will have to execute a page reload java script at the end of 'tasks/create' action. • How can I split the suckerfish Menu into two pieces so that I can put it in two frame?

  I found a tutorial for developing multi-level drop down menu here.Its demo can be checked at www.kriesi.at/wp-content/extra_data/suckerfish_tutorial/step4.html#. I would like to enhance it to support cross-frames . It means, the horizontal part of the whole menu (html,css,javascript etc..in demo page) will exist in the upper frame and the rest will be put in the lower frame. Edit: There will be only one menu item in the horizontal part. It will be still ok if I can click that menu_item rather than mouse-hovering to show the lower part of the menu . • A gridview for debugging collections?

  Hi Guys, I'm working with fairly large generic collections and I need a quick way to view all the items and their properties in these collections while debugging. When I say view all the items, I mean I would like to view the collection as if it was bound to say.. a gridview. That was I could see all all the item properties listed. Currently VS2010 displays the collection object during debugging, but it takes several clicks before I can view any item's properties within the collection. As I'm using collection with 50 to 100 items in them, I've having a hard time getting a feel for the collection data because of having to click through to view each individual item's properties during debugging. Do you have any ideas or know of a visual studio plugin that can help display collections in a table format or gridview format? Thanks for you time

  We have some problems with users performing a specific action twice, we have a mechanism to ensure that users can't do it but somehow it still happens. Here is how our current mechanism works: Client side: The button will be disabled after 1 click. Server side: We have a key hash in the URL which will be checked against the key stored in SESSIONS, once it matches, the key is deleted. Database side: Once the action is performed, there is a field to be flagged indicating the user has completed the action. However, with all these measures, still there are users able to perform the action twice, are there any more safer methods?

• Extjs 3.4 - Button Icon does not show or does not center

  I want to fill a button with an icon I created but whatever I have tried just seems to put the icon either half cut off and way left, or it doesn't show at all. I've been trying different combinations of CSS and the icon, iconcls, cls button options. I was following the Ext 3 buttons example page but that doesn't seem to display anything for me... I want the user to click the print button and automatically the document prints.
