    I have a table in my model named Customers with a field IsActive. Whenever I run a query on Customers, only the active customers should be retrieved. I can include the filter in every query, but that doesn't look very. I would like to be able to override the Customers property at the Object Context lever, but I am not sure if this is possible. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks

    Is it possible to disallow free text entry in the JQuery UI autocomplete widget? eg I only want the user to be allowed to select from the list of items that are presented in the autocomplete list, and dont want them to be able to write some random text. I can send an email when I explicitly provide the username and password, but I was hoping to leverage the Google account already associated with the phone. Note that I don't need to actually access the username or password; I just want to leverage this information indirectly to send email.

    A friend recently had the occasion for a legal name change, which made me wonder about how to cope with that in a development environment, especially in regards to source control. Their legal name changed, so naturally their login name and associated identity stuff changed. If they were a team member of mine, I'd like to change the record of their past commits to the project to be consistent with their new name. Is that possible in Mercurial? In other version control systems?

    With IMFMediaSource and IMFByteStreamHandler I can access bytes from media source to determine media type and audio/video stream parameters, such as duration, quality, number of streams, etc. But can I replace these bytes and send them back to client? E.g. I receive zip file bytestream, extract actual media and send another bytestream with asf (for example) data. Is this possible?

    My current database design uses MyIsam mainly as the storage engine, I wonder if its possible to split some of the tables into MyIsam and some into Innodb in the same database. Reason of switching some of the tables to Innodb is because i need row-based locking which Innodb offers. I am not too sure whether this would have any effect on replication?

    I've been googling around trying to figure out if it's possible to use my mouse wheel to scroll while inside Vim in Mac's Terminal, with no luck. It seems as if only X11 or iTerm support this. Before I give up, I thought I'd try the geniuses here to see if anyone knows a way to do this. So, does anyone know if I can set that up? Or should I seriously consider using a different terminal application?
