• Subclipse CollabNet Myster Icon

  The scenario is that I'm merging a series of cherry picked revisions from on SVN branch into trunk. I'm using the subclipse CollabNet client to do the merge. Everything works great, except for in addition to the files I picked to merge, my working directory shows a series of changes that svn thinks have changed but that I haven't chosen to merge. If I do a diff on the files in question it tells me there's no differences. If I do a commit, I get the screenshot below, with the mystery icon I haven't been able to find document anywhere.   Hi everyone, I am trying to work out a good way to handle offline/down memcached servers in my current web application that are built with PHP. I just found this link that shows an approach on how to do what I want, I think: http://cmunezero.com/2008/08/11/consistent-memcache-hashing-and-failover-with-php/ Anyhow, it gets me confused when I start working with it and reading the PHP documention about failover with memcache. Why is offline memcache servers added to the $realInstance server pool together with the online servers? Reading the memcache documentation confuses me even more: http://www.php.net/manual/en/memcache.addserver.php status Controls if the server should be flagged as online. Setting this parameter to FALSE and retry_interval to -1 allows a failed server to be kept in the pool so as not to affect the key distribution algorithm. Requests for this server will then failover or fail immediately depending on the memcache.allow_failover setting. Default to TRUE, meaning the server should be considered online. Thanks,

• Compiler/Linking Error: Freedup

  I've been trying to compile a program for hardlinking duplicate files called freedup. I did try to email the author/maintainer of the program, but it's been a long time and I haven't heard anything back from him. I'm trying to compile the program from a cygwin environment using the latest stable versions of gcc (3.4.4-999) and make (3.81-2). I've tried deleting all the object files and running make, but I always get the following error: freedup.o: In function 'main': /home/[user]/freedup-1.5/freedup.c:1791: undefined reference to '_hashed' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: * * * [freedup] Error 1 I did take a look at the source code and saw that the "hashed" function is an inline function (which I didn't think had to be declared outside of the source file... but that's just what I gathered from some preliminary googling). If anyone would be kind enough to try compiling this program in a windows environment and has any luck, I'd really appreciate it. • Displaying Photos on iPhone

  Hi all, I'm working on an iPhone app and I need to be able to display images to users. I have already gotten the code that takes the photo and stores it into the filesystem working well. Now I just need to figure out how to display the image. I've looked at the Three20 project I've read about on a few of the posts here, but it seems a bit cumbersome and like an extra dependency to import link and combine all of the Three20 library into my little app. Are there any other ways or a more streamlined library that will let me display photos to my users? • How can I set up jnlp for use with Sinatra?

  I have a website currently running Sinatra and a bunch of other technologies. I wanted to get progress bars running, but that's been a no go. So, a friend of mine whipped up a quick upload in Java, and I'm running that through scponly (chrooted) to make sure they can't do anything funny with changing directories and suchlike. But how can I start the jnlp file from Sinatra? Is it as simply as making it a link and then letting it be downloaded by the user? This code suggests otherwise, but there are a lot of things in there I don't understand (probably because I'm not reading it in the context of the larger program there).

• A little bit more complicated multiview App for Iphone

  Hi, i'm new to iphone development. I spend several days by looking for how write muliview app for an Iphone OS. I found how to switch the diferent views without navigation hierarchy (in this article). It's great, but i want more complicated function. For example, i have three diferent views (view 1 - 3) and i can switch between them with technique from link 1. It works fine. My question is: How can i put UITabBarController on view 2, that shows own subviews (tabView 1 - 3) and how put UINavigationController on view 3, that shows own subviews (navView 1 - 2)? The reslut should look like that, one main view (view 1) with two buttons (for example), which switch me to "window" with UiTabBarController or UINavigationController. I found only tutorials, where UITabBarController was a first controller class, that shows directly from AppDelegate (something like default Xcode predefined scenarios). Thanks for your helpfull answer, or i will be crazy soon:).

  I have seen several questions here on tracking db history, but can't seem to find one that matches our situation. We need to track the history of several tables, some of which are many-to-many linking tables. Eg say we have this schema: EntityA id name EntityB id name ABLink A_id B_id So, tracking changes to EntityA or EntityB seems pretty straightforward. We can keep a log table with the same columns plus a date stamp and user. But what about the links? How do we maintain the set of links that are valid for a given version of the data? We need to be able to recreate a history of the data showing changes in chronological order. So if a link added or deleted, we indicate that. Etc.

  Hello, producing software for customers, mostly using MS SQL but some Oracle, a decision was made to plunge into Nhibernate (and C#). The task is to delete efficiently e.g. 10 000 rows from 100 000 and still stay sticked to ORM. I've tried named queries - link already, IQuery sql = s.GetNamedQuery("native-delete-car").SetString(0, "Kirsten"); sql.ExecuteUpdate(); but the best I have ever found seems to be: using (ITransaction tx = _session.BeginTransaction()) { try { string cmd = "delete from Customer where Id < GetSomeId()"; var count = _session.CreateSQLQuery(cmd).ExecuteUpdate(); ... Since it may not get into dB to get all complete rows before deleting them. My questions are: If there is a better way for this kind of delete. If there is a possibility to get the Where condition for Delete like this: Having a select statement (using LinQ to NHibernate) = which will generate appropriate SQL for DB = we get that Where condition and use it for Delete. Even if it has the "m" (multiline) modifier...

  Hi, On my website I use jQuery to hook the events of elements, namely hyperlinks. As these hyperlinks only perform actions on the current page, and do not lead anywhere, I have been putting a href attribute of "#" in: <a href="#">My Link</a> However in some browsers this causes the page to scroll right to top which is obviously undesirable behaviour. I've tried using a blank href value, or not including one, but then the mouse does not change to the hand cursor upon hovering. What should I put in there?

• How to subString a block of user generated HTML while preserving formatting?

  I'd like to create the typical preview paragraph with a [read more] link. Problem is, the content that I'd like to SubString() contains text and html, written by a user with a WYSIWYG editor. Of course, I check to make sure the string is not null or empty, then SubString() it, problem is that I could end up breaking the html tags, throwing off the rendering of the entire site. The WYSIWYG editor doesn't seem to create perfectly formatted HTML, and many times seems to use <br /> tags instead of <p></p>, etc... basically, I can't rely on well-formed tags, etc. My workaround was to just strip out all HTML and substring the leftover text. This works, but loses any of the formatting that was in the HTML. What's the best method of SubString()'ing a block of non-well-formed HTML while maintaining HTML that won't break the rendering of the site?

  I am creating a Wordpress blog (no live link yet because it's still at a planning stage). I want to set up the following tag structure: Category 1: Services Tags: Web design, logo design, print design, etc etc. Category 2: Type of clients Tags: small businesses, large companies So each post will be tagged with one or more tags from Category 1, and one tag from Category 2. However, I heard that using more than one Category per post is a bad idea in terms of SEO? But then, how can I go about it? I don't want any SEO penalties, but I will need to somehow categorize each post using these 2 distinct categories. Should I create some custom taxonomies? That seems like an overkill to me. The solution is probably something rather simple but it just escapes me. I'm not very experienced with taxonomies so I'll appreciate any suggestions.

  I'm fairly new to iPhone programming and am trying to implement a double-component PickerView. At this point the picker works fine in terms of taking user input, created with Interface Builder. However, I need to change the font size to accommodate the text length in each column. I very much would appreciate any link to a straightforward method to creating a multi-component picker with an adjustable font size. Seems like it is not possible if Interface Builder is used to create the picker. So far I have not found any code links that address this issue in detail. Thanks in advance.

• ASP.NET MVC thinks my virtual directory is a controller

  I have a virtual directory under my MVC website in IIS called "Files". This directory is at the same level as my Views directory. When I link to a file from my MVC app to a file under my Files directory, I get the following error: The controller for path '/Files/Images/1c7f7eb8-5d66-4bca-a73a-4ba6340a7805.JPG' was not found or does not implement IController. It thinks that my Files VD is a controller. How do I access my files like a normal VD without MVC interfering? Thanks.

• PHP: Facebook stream.publish and outdated template bundles?

  Ok So I haven't tried messing with the facebook PHP API for months.. it's gross. Since template bundles are apparently now defunct, how can I publish a story into my users news feed for their friends? I've also already requested permissions.   Hi all, I'm using the PhysX SDK and I'm trying to load an .obj file with the WavefrontObj object which is defined by the files "wavefront.h/.cpp", localized in the samples directory. • Mercurial How To Merge 2 Repositories that share a common ancestor but are not clones of the same re

  I am using hg-subversion, and I have 2 different hg repositories one from our svn trunk, and one from a branch of the trunk. I would like to link them somehow. At some point in the history both Hg repositories will be identical is there some way to join them? In other words is there a way to relate the repositories from within Hg? The technique I am currently using is to just export the second repository over top of the working copy of the revision they share, and then commit that working copy as a branch in Hg, but I lose the history this way. Any advice would be great

• ASP.NET MVC Deployed Application Server Address

  I have an application that sends an email to a user so that they may access a web form. In the email there is just a link to the start page of this form. Currently, I have the value for the form location hardcoded. Once the app is deployed I know it is in inetpub/wwwroot/appName, which results in a URL of serverip:appPort/appName. What is the C# to get the serverip:appPort portion of the URL that I need? I think that server.mappath() might work, but for some reason I can't get to the method even though I have the necessary references.
