But the code cannot locate the special characters in the string, c# added all the \ so the linenumber is not accurate generated by XmlException object. • How do you run a uncompiled CGI?

  I'm going to get right to it. iPage shared hosting. Trying to use mimetex.cgi to render math. Source code is at the link. After preparing everything just as I had with a different shared host (which worked), I get errors. Tech support tells me I need to upload the uncompiled source and use that instead. ??? Rather than going with them just being ignorant and wrong, I'm going to assume I'm missing something. How am I supposed to execute and make use of the uncompiled source code? What the hell is wrong with a hosting service that doesn't support running compiled CGI written in C (as far as I can tell)?

• Custom event listener on Android app

  Hi everybody, I need to set up a simple event listener to refresh a listview from once in a while. The problem is I don't know how could I generate an event. I know that for events like key or button pressing I just need to implement the handler. But in this specific case I actually need to generate the event, which will be fired everytime another running thread of my app wakes up and refreshes it's list of news from a rss feed. • One click login to my google apps solution how can I do it?

  Hi guys I'm developing a google apps solution and I'm building on the tutorial application give by google at http://code.google.com/googleapps/marketplace/tutorial_php.html - the thing is that the example given sets up the application such that the user has to enter in manually the email address or username and then it takes the user through an authentication process whereby it asks the user if they wish to allow the application to be given access to the services mentioned in the manifest.xml file. Isn't there a better way to do this I mean like I want that when the user upon logging into his google apps account just has to click in the application link installed and straight on should be able to enter the application. Can't the process of authentication and all be transparent in the backdrop. I need help on this asap. Thanks a bunch!

I've looked around for a bit, and I've tried adding Libc.C to the 'Ignore Library' list, which in turn causes about 150 errors. Not sure what to do from here.

• Inherit static properties in subclass without redeclaration?

  Hi, I'm having the same problem as this guy with the application I'm writing right now. The problem is that static properties are not being inherited in subclasses, and so if I use the static:: keyword in my main class, it sets the variable in my main class as well. It works if I redeclare the static variables in my subclass, but I expect to have a large number of static properties and subclasses and wish to avoid code duplication. The top-rated response on the page I linked has a link to a few "workarounds", but it seems to have 404'd. Can anyone lend me some help or perhaps point me in the direction of said workarounds?

  Hi, I'm developing custom tableViewCell for iphone, I used interface builder to design it and loaded in from code. It use custom background to show Cell Selection. It work ok expect form one small issue, there is a small rectangular area in left side dosen't show the custom image, but show default selection ( bule color ) in that area.   For example—say I want to add a helloWorld() method to Python's dict type. Can I do this? JavaScript has a prototype object that behaves this way. Maybe it's bad design and I should subclass the dict object, but then it only works on the subclasses and I want it to work on any and all future dictionaries. Instead to start coding html+css, I decided to start with SkecthFlow. now, I'm very confused. • Mysql SET NAMES UTF8 - how to get rid of?

  In a very busy PHP script we have a call at the beginning to "Set names utf8" which is setting the character set in which mysql should interpret and send the data back from the server to the client. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/charset-applications.html I want to get rid of it so I set default-character-set=utf8 In our server ini file. (see link above) The setting seems to be working since the relevant server parameters are : 'character_set_client', 'utf8' 'character_set_connection', 'utf8' 'character_set_database', 'latin1' 'character_set_filesystem', 'binary' 'character_set_results', 'utf8' 'character_set_server', 'latin1' 'character_set_system', 'utf8' But after this change and commenting out set names utf8 call still the data starts to come out garbled. Please advise....

• WindowStartupLocation.CenterScreen is opening my window on the wrong display

  According to the documentation, CenterScreen should open the window in the center of the screen that contains the mouse cursor, however this is not happening. I have a dual monitor setup, with my secondary monitor appearing to the left of my primary monitor (the one with the task bar). When the user clicks a link in my interface on the primary (right-most) monitor, and I open a new window with WindowStartupLocation set to CenterScreen, the window appears in the center of the screen of the left monitor. This is not where the mouse is and I am lost as to why it is picking that display. Has anyone experienced this before or have any ideas for a workaround? If I can't get the proper behavior using WindowStartupLocation, I will just manually move the window to the proper display (I still have to figure that out though).

  Hi, I need to use a custom scrollbar on jquery lightbox. My requirement is that when user clicks on a link then a popup appears and the popup contains 2 or 3 tabs, user can click on any tab to see it's content. In one of those tabs I need scrollbar to show huge content but the scrollbar should not be default it should be custom with any color. Currently I am using "JQuery's JScrollPane" plugin http://jscrollpane.kelvinluck.com to achieve the functionality, but this is not working on IE 6,7 and 8, mean scrollbar does not appear on IE. It works fine on Firefox and Chrome. Note: the same plugin works fine on IE also when I use it on page's element which is available while page load but not while the element is shown dynamically on lightbox. Thanks

  I'm looking for an implementation to the Minimum Cost Flow graph problem in OCaml. OCaml library ocamlgraph has Goldberg algorithm implementation. The paper called Efficient implementation of the Goldberg-Tarjan minimum-cost flow algorithm is noting that Goldberg-Tarjan algorithm can find minimum cost graph. Question is, does ocamlgraph algorithm also find the minimum cost? Library documentation only states, that it's suitable at least for the maximum flow problem. If not, does anybody have a good link to a nice any minimum cost optimization algorithm code? I will manually translate it into OCaml then. Forgive me, if I missed it on Wikipedia: there are too many algos on flow networks for the first day!

  I am new to threads,SDL and how graphic work in general. I've been looking through all of LazyFoo's SDL tutorials, and had helped me greatly. But in his tutorials about multi threading, he commented that you should never use video functions in separate threads, or might cause problem. I am curious how it should be done, as I still have a vague understanding of graphics and threads. As one of my projects is a shoot'em up, I was wondering if I should create one thread that displays all the graphics, one threads receives all the player input for his ship, and another thread for the enemy AI. If this is NOT how it should be done, (I think it's wrong) does anyone have any advice of how graphics should be implemented with user input and enemy AI with threads? • Php is stripping one letter "g" from my rtrim function but not other chars

  I'm trying to trim some youtube URLs that I am reading in from a playlist. The first 3 work fine and all their URLs either end in caps or numbers but this one that ends in a lower case g is getting trimmed one character shorter than the rest. for ($z=0; $z <= 3; $z++) { $ythref2 = rtrim($tubeArray["feed"]["entry"][$z]["link"][0]["href"], '&feature=youtube_gdata'); The URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuE88oVCVjg&feature=youtube_gdata .. and it should get trimmed down to .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuE88oVCVjg but instead it is coming out as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuE88oVCVj. I think it may be the ampersand symbol but I am not sure.

How do I make it such that when I click on the anchor tag, the event on the parent will not be triggered? I've tried using the Jquery method stopPropagation() but still no luck. Any thoughts?   I am trying to show a custom css depending on user permissions with a function like : <?php if ( !current_user_can( 'install_themes' ) ) { ?> <link media="all" type="text/css" href="<?php bloginfo( 'template_directory' ); ?>/library/styles/customAdmin.css" rel="stylesheet"> <?php } Perhaps I am being dense about this but I want to do the reverse and show specific CSS if a user can not, in this case, install_themes. I am doing it this way because the css hides parts of the admin area that I do not want hidden globally. I could probably do this with liberal use of !important in my style sheetsbut I was hoping there was an easier way to write this in the function. Or is there a way to write <?php if ( current_user_can('level_7') ) : ?> with something like if < level_7 ?
