    Hi I'm implementing CRUD functionality using ExpandableListView. Wen I delete a parent data on screen refreshes automatically but it doesn't when I delete a child. I've solved this with: int categoryId = ExpandableListView.getPackedPositionGroup(info.packedPosition); getExpandableListView().collapseGroup(categoryId); getExpandableListView().expandGroup(categoryId); Is there any better way to this?     Hi, guys could anyone explain to my like to a not very inteligent child what is declared here: (this is taken from another post on this forum) template<typename C> static char (&f(ChT<int Fallback::*, &C::x>*))[1]; how I read it is: template of static function f called with (ChT*) but then I can't make sense why is there address of operator and why is there array? When explaining please picture not very inteligent child and then try to make it clear to it. Thanks for any help

    When I attempt to compile the output of this trivial lex program: # lex.l integer printf("found keyword INT"); using: $ gcc lex.yy.c I get: Undefined symbols: "_yywrap", referenced from: _yylex in ccMsRtp7.o _input in ccMsRtp7.o "_main", referenced from: start in crt1.10.6.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status lex --version tells me I'm actually using 'flex 2.5.35' although ls -fla `which lex` isn't a symlink. Any ideas why the output won't compile?

  • Computation on db data then list them using either SimpleCursorAdapter or ArrayAdapter

    Hi all, I juststarted programming in android a few weeks ago, so I am not entirely sure how to deal with listing values. Please help me out! I have some questions regarding displaying data sets from db in a list. Currently I have a cursor returned by my db points to a list of rows and I want display 2 columns values in a single row of the list. The row xml looks like this: <TextView android:id="@+id/text1" android:textSize="16sp" android:textStyle="bold" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/text2" android:textSize="14sp" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> so I was thinking using simplecursoradapter which supposedly makes my life easier by displaying the data in a list. However that is only true if I want to display the raw data. For the purpose of my program I need to do some computations on the raw data sets, then display them. I am not sure how to do that using SimpleCursorAdapter. Here's how I display the raw data: String[] from = new String[]{BtDbAdapter.KEY_EX_TYPE,BtDbAdapter.KEY_EX_TIMESTAMP}; int[] to = new int[]{R.id.text1, R.id.text2}; // Now create a simple cursor adapter and set it to display SimpleCursorAdapter records = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this, R.layout.exset_row, mExsetCursor, from, to); setListAdapter(records); Is there a way to do computation on the data in those rows before I bind it with the SimpleCursorAdapter? I was trying to use an alternative way of doing this by using arraylist and arrayadapter, but that way I dont know to how achieve displaying 2 items in a single row. This is my code for using arrayadapter which only display 1 text in a row instead of 2 textviews in a row: //fill in the array timestamp_arr = new ArrayList<String>(); type_arr = new ArrayList<String>(); fillRecord(); Log.d(TAG,"setting now in recordlist"); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.list_item,timestamp_arr)); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.list_item2,type_arr)); It's very obvious that it only displays one textview in a row because I set the second arrayadapter overwrites the first one! I was trying to use R.id.text1 and R.id.text2 for them, but it gave me some errors saying 04-23 01:40:58.658: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(3309): android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f070008 type #0x12 is not valid I believe the second method can achieve this, but I'm not sure how do deal with the layout problems, so if you any suggestions, please post them out.     Hello Does anyone know if there's a method in Joda Time or Java itself which takes either an int or a String as an argument, e.g. 4 or "4" and gives the name of the month back in short format, i.e. JAN for January?   • Creating a ListView and setting the background color of a view in each row.

    Hey Everyone, I am trying to implement a ListView that is composed of rows that contain a View on the left followed by a TextView to the right of that. I want to be able to change the background color of the first View based on it's position in the ListView.     I am using EnvDTE to generate some code in my latest project. I have a reference to a CodeClass-Object for a given C#-Class but now I wanted to loop through all of its members (in codeClass.Members) and check their types. However I can't manage to retrieve the type of the given member from the CodeElement-Object that I get when looping through codeClass.Members. How can I retrieve the type (int, string etc.)? PS: Reflection is not an option for my usecase.

So, every individual belongs to a group, and has answered some questions. These questions are always grouped in keys and subkeys. Is there any simple method to calculate averages, deviations and similar based on the groupings. Something like public float getAverage(int key, int individual); float avg = getAverage(5,7); I think what I'm asking is what would be the best way to structure the data in C# to make it as easy as possible to work with? I have started making classes for every entity, but I got confused somewhere and something stopped working. So before I continue along this path, I was wondering if there are any other, better, ways of doing this? (Every individual can also have describing variables, like agegroup and such, but that's not important for the base functionality.) Our current solution does all calculations inline in the queries when requesting the data from the database. This works, but it's slow and the number of queries equals questions * individuals + keys * individuals, which could be alot if individual queries. Any suggestions?

  • Applying Domain Model on top of Linq2Sql entities

    I am trying to practice the model first approach and I am putting together a domain model. My requirement is pretty simple: UserSession can have multiple ShoppingCartItems. I should start off by saying that I am going to apply the domain model interfaces to Linq2Sql generated entities (using partial classes). My requirement translates into three database tables (UserSession, Product, ShoppingCartItem where ProductId and UserSessionId are foreign keys in the ShoppingCartItem table). Linq2Sql generates these entities for me. I know I shouldn't even be dealing with the database at this point but I think it is important to mention. The aggregate root is UserSession as a ShoppingCartItem can not exist without a UserSession but I am unclear on the rest. What about Product? It is defiently an entity but should it be associated to ShoppingCartItem?
