  • Drupal: allowing users to sign up to content using a form

    My apologies if this is a little broad, but I'm struggling to know where to start here! OK, so I have a Drupal site and I need users to be able to sign up for certain content, here is the workflow in detail: I need a form within a block consisting of the following elements: First Name (required) Last Name (required) Organisation (optional) Email Address (required) Then there will be a choice of content to sign up to (using checkboxes): Policy Bulletin Action News eBulletin (which only members can sign up to) Then the usual submit button of course! Upon submission, users will: 1) Be taken to a confirmation page, or 2) Be informed about incorrectly filled in fields, and/or the need to become a user to be able to sign up for the eBulletin. Users will then receive an email when new content of the type(s) they signed up to is created, along with a link to the node. There should be details about how to unsubscribe within this email. I have used the Subscriptions module in the past, but I am not sure if it is possible to use a sign-up form with it. Plus, there is the added complexity that one of the content types, eBulletin, is only available for site members. Like I say, I'm struggling to know where to start, and any ideas would be gratefully received!

  • Change paper size in the middle of a latex document?

    Does anyone know how to change these length parameters in the middle of a latex document? \paperwidth \paperheight I would like to define a page size for a single page (possibly two or three). I tried v5.3 of the geometry package, which just added some new features; like \newgeometry. Unfortunately \newgeometry cannot be used to redefine \paperheight and \paperwidth. Any help would be very appreciated.

  • Determine an elements position in a variable length grid of elements

    I have a grid of a variable number of elements. Say 5 images per row and a variable number of images. I need to determine which column (for lack of a better word) each image is in... i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. In this grid, images 1, 6, 12 and 17 would be in column 1 while 4, 9 and 15 would be in column 4. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 What I am trying to do is apply a background image to each element based on it's column position.     I've been wondering if using long descriptive variable names in WinForms C# matters for performance? I'm asking this question since in AutoIt v3 (interpreted language) it was brought up that having variables with short names like aa instead of veryLongVariableName is much much faster (when program is bigger then 5 liner). I'm wondering if it's the same in C#?

    Hello, I have a database on a SQL Server 2000 server. This database has a table called "Person" that has a field call "FullName" that is a VARCHAR(100). I am trying to write a query that will allow me to get all records that have a name. Records that do not have a name have a FullName value of either null or an empty string. How do I get all of the Person records have a FullName? In other words, I want to ignore the records that do not have a FullName. Currently I am trying the following: SELECT * FROM Person p WHERE p.FullName IS NOT NULL AND LEN(p.FullName) > 0 Thank you

    I try to show the content from a PHP-file in a fancybox but I can't handle it. Now it's the following situation: If a file permission problem occures a <div id="error"> is shown on the website. I'd like to have the content from <div id="error"> in fancybox. Everything I try I get the notice "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later." That means the fancybox, it the file permission error occures, should be shown when the page is loading and not like usual shown when some events like click or mouseover. For example, if the error exists, the following content should be shown in the fancybox: <div style="width:100px; height:100px; background:#f00;"> <p>Failure</p> </div> This snippet is located in a file security_check.php. Now there are two possibilities. The 1st is to load the security_check.php directly into the fancybox or to put in the mentioned above snippet. So: how to load file contents into the fancybox?

    I have code similar to the following running in a script: try: s = ftplib.FTP('xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx','username','password') except: print ('Could not contact FTP serer') sys.exit() IF the FTP site is inaccessible, the script almost seems to 'hang' ... It is taking about 75 seconds on average before sys.exit() appears to be called... I know the 75 seconds is probably very subjective, and dependent on the system this runs on...but is there a way to have python just try this once, and if unsucessful, to exit immediately? The platform I am using for this is Mac OS X 10.5/python 2.5.1.

  • convert int into string with certain length of char

    If the title wasn't clear, ill try to explain it well here. I have a bunch of integers, ranging from 1 to 999, and i need to convert these into strings, but when i do that, i need them to be 3 characters long. so for instance, if i had: int i1 = 45; then when i turned that into a string, i'd need this: "045" or similarly, if i had an int of 8 then that would have to turn into "008", and if anything had 3 places, such as 143, then it would just be outputted as 143. is this easily possible? Thanks for responses in advance. :)

    How would I do this? I am trying to count when both arrays have the same value of TRUE/1 at the same index. As you can see, my code has multiple bitarrays and is looping through each one and comparing them with a comparisonArray with another loop. It doesn't seem to be very efficient and I need it to be. foreach (bitArrayTuple in bitarryList) { for (int i = 0; i < arrayLength; i++) if (bArrayTuple.Item2[i] && comparisonArray[i]) bitArrayTuple.Item1++; } where Item1 is the count and Item2 is a bitarray.

But I notice that there's a small delay after I've clicked a link and before the content is actually loaded. It's not very intense content that's loaded either so I think it's got something to do with the order which things happen in the script.     Hi, I have to define a 24-bit data type.I am using char[3] to represent the type. Can I typedef char[3] to type24? I tried it in a code sample. I put typedef char[3] type42; in my header file. The compiler did not complain about it. But when I defined a function void foo(type24 val) {} in my C file, it did complain. I would like to be able to define functions like type24_to_int32(type24 val) instead of type24_to_int32(char value[3]).

    I work on a little extension on Google Chrome, I want to create a new tab, go on the url "sample"+i+".com", launch a content script on this url, update the current tab to "sample"+(i+1)+".com", and launch the same script. I looked the Q&A available on stackoverflow and I google it but I didn't found a solution who works.   • jQuery load default content into div

Any ideas on how i could do this? At the minute all i see is my loading animation.. I use jQuery with the History plugin.

  • how to get around the command line length limit

    I've been working on a small and simple program that i drop files onto and based on certian rules they are moved to diffrent places. the program works fine unless i drop more than a few files on the program then it kicks back an error (that appears to be more windows than anything) that the start up command c:\myapp.exe \file \file \file is to long I realize i could set up a background proccess but i really would prefer that this program not run in the backround (where it would be idle 99.999999999% of the time) Can anyone think of any way around this limitation?

    This question is a continuation of this thread: In short: To solve my problem, I want to use Map<Set<String>, String>. However, after I sort my data entries in Excel, remove the unnecessary parameters, and the following came out: flow content ==> content content flow content ==> content depth distance flow content ==> content depth within flow content ==> content depth within distance flow content ==> content within flow content ==> content within distance I have more than one unique key for the hashmap if that is the case. How do I go around this... anyone have any idea? I was thinking of maybe Map<Set <String>, List <String>> so that I can do something like: Set <flow content>, List <'content content','content depth distance','content depth within ', ..., 'content within distance'> But because I am parsing the entries line by line I can't figure out the way how to store values of the same repeated keys (flow content) into the same list and add it to the map. Anyone have a rough logic on how can this be done in Java? Thanks in advance.
