  • request parameter is taking null value in servlets

    - by Dusk
    Hi, I want to know how can I get the value of the request parameters "j_username" and "j_password"? After successfully login using form based authentication, I want my servlet to get the value of parameters "j_username" and "j_password", but I'm getting null as the value in both parameters. Could anyone please tell me how can I get the actual value of both paramters? Servlets class : package foo; import javax.servlet.http.*; import javax.servlet.*; public class RequestHandler extends HttpServlet { public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) { try { String user = request.getParameter("j_username"); String password = request.getParameter("j_password"); response.getWriter().println(user+" "+password); } catch(Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } output: null null

  • Click event to a Gwt-connector

    - by sprasad12
    Hi, I am trying to add click event to one of the widgets that use gwt-connector. Here is the code: public class Diagrams extends Diagram implements HasClickHandlers{ public Diagrams(AbsolutePanel boundaryPanel) { super(boundaryPanel); } @Override public HandlerRegistration addClickHandler(ClickHandler handler) { return addDomHandler(handler, ClickEvent.getType()); } @Override public void fireEvent(GwtEvent<?> event) { } } Here Diagram is a gwt-connector class. Here is the link to the Diagram class and also link to GWT-Connector. Question: Am i doing anything wrong in the code while adding the clickhandler? I am getting error saying that addDomHandler is undefined for the type Diagrams. are there limitations for adding click handlers? Any input will be of great help. Thank you.

  • Unit Testing Codeigniter Classes with fooStack - clashes

    - by DrPep
    I'm having 'fun' testing interactions in a CodeIgniter based web app. It seems when running the entire test suite "phpunit AllTests.php" it loads all of the test classes, their targets (Systems under Test) and creates a PHPUnit_Framework_TestSuite instance which presumably iterates over the classes which extend CIUnit_TestCase and runs them. The problem comes where you have multiple classes referencing another class (such as a library). As all the classes are loaded into the same process space, PHP reports "cannot redefine class xyz". Have I missed something here or doing something haenously wrong? In my test class i'm doing something like: include_once dirname(__FILE__).'/../CIUnit.php'; include_once dirname(__FILE__).'/../../libraries/ProductsService.php'; class testProductsService extends CIUnit_TestCase { public function testGetProducts_ReturnsArrayOfProducts(){ $service = new ProductsService(); $products = $service->getProducts(); $this->assertTrue(is_array($products)); } } The problem manifests as I have a controller which does: $this->load->library('ProductsService');

  • Why / When / How is this Android serviceBinder resetting to null?

    - by GaZ
    I've written a ListActivity for Android 2.1 which is used to display a list of event categories. As the user selects a category, the program calls a web service to retrieve a list of sub-events. For example, a top level event might be "soccer" and when the user selects this the web service would return various soccer associations (e.g. "english", "french", "german", etc.) and display them in a new list. The following code seems to work occasionally, however sometimes the call to the service (in EventsListTask) fails because the serviceBinder is null. How/Why does this happen? public class EventListsActivity extends ListActivity { private static final String EVENT_ID = "EventId"; private List<ListItem> eventList; private ArrayAdapter<ListItem> listItemArrayAdapter; private static final int LOADING_DIALOG = 1; private EventsListTask eventsListTask = null; private BFService serviceBinder; private ServiceConnection mConnection = new ServiceConnection() { public void onServiceConnected(ComponentName componentName, IBinder iBinder) { Log.i("EventListsActivity", "service connected"); serviceBinder = ((BFService.BFBinder)iBinder).getService(); } public void onServiceDisconnected(ComponentName componentName) { Log.i("EventListsActivity", "service disconnected"); serviceBinder = null; } }; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { Log.i("EventListsActivity", "onCreate"); super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.list); eventList = new ArrayList<ListItem>(); listItemArrayAdapter = new ArrayAdapter<ListItem>(this, R.layout.row, eventList); setListAdapter(listItemArrayAdapter); Intent bindIntent = new Intent(this, BFService.class); bindService(bindIntent, mConnection, Context.BIND_AUTO_CREATE); int eventId = getIntent().getIntExtra(EVENT_ID, -1); if (eventsListTask == null || eventsListTask.getStatus() == AsyncTask.Status.FINISHED) { eventsListTask = new EventsListTask(); eventsListTask.execute(eventId); } } @Override protected void onDestroy() { Log.i("EventListsActivity", "destroyed"); super.onDestroy(); unbindService(mConnection); } @Override protected void onListItemClick(ListView listView, View view, int position, long id) { super.onListItemClick(listView, view, position, id); ListItem selectedItem = (ListItem) listView.getAdapter().getItem(position); Intent intent; if (selectedItem.getMarketType() != null) { intent = new Intent(this, MarketActivity.class); intent.putExtra(EVENT_ID, selectedItem.getId()); startActivityIfNeeded(intent, -1); } else if (selectedItem.getId() != -1) { intent = new Intent(this, EventListsActivity.class); intent.putExtra(EVENT_ID, selectedItem.getId()); startActivityIfNeeded(intent, -1); } else { Log.e("EventListsActivity", "unexpected item selected!"); } } @Override protected Dialog onCreateDialog(int id) { switch (id) { case (LOADING_DIALOG) : AlertDialog.Builder loadingDialog = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); loadingDialog.setTitle("Please Wait..."); loadingDialog.setMessage("Communicating with remote service."); return loadingDialog.create(); } return null; } private class EventsListTask extends AsyncTask<Integer, Void, LoginStatusEnum> { @Override protected void onPreExecute() { showDialog(LOADING_DIALOG); } @Override protected void onPostExecute(LoginStatusEnum loginStatusEnum) { dismissDialog(LOADING_DIALOG); if (loginStatusEnum != null) { switch (loginStatusEnum) { case OK: for (ListItem item : eventList) { listItemArrayAdapter.add(item); } listItemArrayAdapter.notifyDataSetChanged(); break; } } } @Override protected LoginStatusEnum doInBackground(Integer... params) { LoginStatusEnum result = LoginStatusEnum.OK; Integer eventId = params[0]; if (serviceBinder != null) { try { if (eventId == null || eventId == -1) { eventList = serviceBinder.getActiveEventTypes(); } else { eventList = serviceBinder.getEvents(eventId); } } catch (WebServiceException wse) { result = LoginStatusEnum.valueOf(wse.getMessage()); } } else { Log.e("EventListsActivity", "serviceBinder is null!"); } return result; } } } EDIT: The serviceBinder appears to be set to null when I reach the bottom of a list, when I change the target intent to go to a different activity: intent = new Intent(this, MarketActivity.class); intent.putExtra(EVENT_ID, selectedItem.getId()); startActivity(intent); This new activity also uses the same background service (binds in the same way, etc.). Is there anything I need to watch out for when doing this? Am I calling the target intent incorrectly? EDIT2: Here's the output from LogCat when I start the activity which calls the service (this time the service failed straight away!): 04-02 07:02:49.147: INFO/ActivityManager(61): Starting activity: Intent { cmp=net.foobar.activity/.EventListsActivity } 04-02 07:02:49.257: INFO/EventListsActivity(353): onCreate 04-02 07:02:49.426: INFO/EventListsActivity(353): service connected 04-02 07:02:49.437: ERROR/EventListsActivity(353): serviceBinder is null!

  • Grails Unit Tests: Why does this statement fail?

    - by leeand00
    I've developed in Java in the past, and now I'm trying to learn Grails/Groovy using this slightly dated tutorial. import grails.test.* class DateTagLibTests extends TagLibUnitTestCase { def dateTagLib protected void setUp() { super.setUp() dateTagLib = new DateTagLib() } protected void tearDown() { super.tearDown() } void testThisYear() { String expected = Calendar.getInstance().get(Calendar.YEAR) // NOTE: This statement fails assertEquals("the years dont match and I dont know why.", expected, dateTagLib.thisYear()) } } DateTagLibTests.groovy (Note: this TagLibUnitTestCase is for Grails 1.2.1 and not the version used in the tutorial) For some reason the above test fails with: expected:<2010 but was:<2010 I've tried replacing the test above with the following alternate version of the test, and the test passes just fine: void testThisYear() { String expected = Calendar.getInstance().get(Calendar.YEAR) String actual = dateTagLib.thisYear() // NOTE: The following two assertions work: assertEquals("the years don\'t match", expected, actual) assertTrue("the years don\'t match", expected.equals(actual)) } These two versions of the test are basically the same thing right? Unless there's something new in Grails 1.2.1 or Groovy that I'm not understanding. They should be of the same type because the values are both the value returned by Calendar.getInstance().get(Calendar.YEAR)

  • Why does my UITableView change from UITableViewStyleGrouped to UITableViewStylePlain

    - by casper
    My application has a view controller that extends UITableViewController. The initialization method looks like this: - (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder*)coder { if (self = [super initWithCoder:coder]) { self.tableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:self.tableView.frame style:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; } return self; } When the view is initially loaded, it's displayed as UITableViewStyleGrouped. However, if my app ever receives a low memory warning, the above view changes to UITableViewStylePlain. There is no associated xib file with the View/Controller. The viewDidUnload and didReceiveMemoryWarning methods are straightforward: - (void)didReceiveMemoryWarning { // Releases the view if it doesn't have a superview. [super didReceiveMemoryWarning]; // Release any cached data, images, etc that aren't in use. } - (void)viewDidUnload { // Release any retained subviews of the main view. // e.g. self.myOutlet = nil; } My question is, why does the table style change when I receive a memory warning?

  • Include a c# file in aspx page

    - by BeraCim
    Hi all: I have an aspx page that has a @Page directive which points to a c# class. e.g. <@ Page Language="C#" EnableSessionState="true" ValidateRequest="False" Inherits="MyClass" %> MyClass extends Page, which is the code behind class for that aspx page. Now I want to add another class to the aspx page. This class does some processing and will redirect the user to another page if certain conditions are met. It will be called before the above directive. I tried adding another @Page directive, but gotten an unknown error (literally). I'm thinking that there can only be one code behind class per aspx page so I got the error when I added another one. Googling such question didnt really help me with the answer. So, how do I add another c# class to the same aspx page? Thanks.

  • Tracking finger move in order to rotate a triangle : tracking is not perfect

    - by Laurent BERNABE
    I've written a custom view, with the OpenGL_1 technology, in order to let user rotate a red triangle just by dragging it along x axis. (Will give a rotation around Y axis). It works, but there is a bit of latency when dragging from one direction to the other (without releasing the mouse/finger). So it seems that my code is not yet "goal perfect". (I am convinced that no code is perfect in itself). I thought of using a quaternion, but maybe it won't be so usefull : must I really use a Quaternion (or a kind of Matrix) ? I've designed application for Android 4.0.3, but it could fit into Android api 3 (Android 1.5) as well (at least, I think it could). So here is my main layout : activity_main.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:orientation="vertical" > <com.laurent_bernabe.android.triangletournant3d.MyOpenGLView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" /> </LinearLayout> Here is my main activity : MainActivity.java package com.laurent_bernabe.android.triangletournant3d; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.support.v4.app.NavUtils; import android.view.Menu; import android.view.MenuItem; public class MainActivity extends Activity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); } @Override public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.activity_main, menu); return true; } @Override public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) { switch (item.getItemId()) { case android.R.id.home: NavUtils.navigateUpFromSameTask(this); return true; } return super.onOptionsItemSelected(item); } } And finally, my OpenGL view MyOpenGLView.java package com.laurent_bernabe.android.triangletournant3d; import java.nio.ByteBuffer; import java.nio.ByteOrder; import java.nio.FloatBuffer; import javax.microedition.khronos.egl.EGLConfig; import javax.microedition.khronos.opengles.GL10; import android.content.Context; import android.graphics.Point; import android.opengl.GLSurfaceView; import android.opengl.GLSurfaceView.Renderer; import android.opengl.GLU; import android.util.AttributeSet; import android.view.MotionEvent; public class MyOpenGLView extends GLSurfaceView implements Renderer { public MyOpenGLView(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); setRenderer(this); } public MyOpenGLView(Context context) { this(context, null); } @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { int actionMasked = event.getActionMasked(); switch(actionMasked){ case MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN: savedClickLocation = new Point((int) event.getX(), (int) event.getY()); break; case MotionEvent.ACTION_UP: savedClickLocation = null; break; case MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE: Point newClickLocation = new Point((int) event.getX(), (int) event.getY()); int dx = newClickLocation.x - savedClickLocation.x; angle += Math.toRadians(dx); break; } return true; } @Override public void onDrawFrame(GL10 gl) { gl.glClear(GL10.GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL10.GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); gl.glLoadIdentity(); GLU.gluLookAt(gl, 0f, 0f, 5f, 0f, 0f, 0f, 0f, 1f, 0f ); gl.glRotatef(angle, 0f, 1f, 0f); gl.glColor4f(1f, 0f, 0f, 0f); gl.glVertexPointer(2, GL10.GL_FLOAT, 0, triangleCoordsBuff); gl.glDrawArrays(GL10.GL_TRIANGLES, 0, 3); } @Override public void onSurfaceChanged(GL10 gl, int width, int height) { gl.glViewport(0, 0, width, height); gl.glMatrixMode(GL10.GL_PROJECTION); gl.glLoadIdentity(); GLU.gluPerspective(gl, 60f, (float) width / height, 0.1f, 10f); gl.glMatrixMode(GL10.GL_MODELVIEW); } @Override public void onSurfaceCreated(GL10 gl, EGLConfig config) { gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_DEPTH_TEST); gl.glClearDepthf(1.0f); gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); buildTriangleCoordsBuffer(); } private void buildTriangleCoordsBuffer() { ByteBuffer buffer = ByteBuffer.allocateDirect(4*triangleCoords.length); buffer.order(ByteOrder.nativeOrder()); triangleCoordsBuff = buffer.asFloatBuffer(); triangleCoordsBuff.put(triangleCoords); triangleCoordsBuff.rewind(); } private float [] triangleCoords = {-1f, -1f, +1f, -1f, +1f, +1f}; private FloatBuffer triangleCoordsBuff; private float angle = 0f; private Point savedClickLocation; } I don't think I really have to give you my manifest file. But I can if you think it is necessary. I've just tested on Emulator, not on real device. So, how can improve the reactivity ? Thanks in advance.

  • Flash Double-click an externally loaded SWF

    - by Trist
    OK. I've got a class (which extends MovieClip) that loads in an external SWF (made in pdf2swf). That is added to another class which has declared doubleClickEnabled = true and I'm listening for DOUBLE_CLICK events. Problem is when the SWF is loaded my code picks up no DOUBLE_CLICK events, only CLICK events. I've tried it without adding the SWF to the stage and it does pick up DOUBLE_CLICK events. Anybody come across this before? class ParentClass{ ... public function ParentClass(){ ... mcToLoadSWF = new MovieClip(); addChild(mcToLoadSWF); doubleClickEnabled = true; addEventListener(MouseEvent.DOUBLE_CLICK, doubleClickHandler); ... } } I've also tried adding the event listener to the mcToLoadSWF as well. No dice. Cheers Tristian

  • How to mock/stub calls to message taglib in Grails controller

    - by Dave
    I've got a Grails controller which relies on the message taglib to resolve an i18n message: class TokenController { def passwordReset = { def token = DatedToken.findById(params.id); if (!isValidToken(token, params)) { flash.message = message(code: "forgotPassword.reset.invalidToken") redirect controller: 'forgotPassword', action: 'index' return } render view:'/forgotPassword/reset', model: [token: token.token] } } I've written a unit test for the controller: class TokenControllerTests extends ControllerUnitTestCase { void testPasswordResetInvalidTokenRedirect() { controller.passwordReset() assert... } } Since the message taglib is called in the controller I get a MissingMethodException: groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: TokenController.message() is applicable for argument types: (java.util.LinkedHashMap) values: [[code:forgotPassword.reset.invalidToken]] Does anyone know the best way to get around this issue in a unit test? Ideally I would like to perform assertions on the message but right now I'd be happy if the test just ran! Thanks

  • ASP.NET CompositeControl with child controls that contain children

    - by tomfanning
    I am building an ASP.NET server control which extends CompositeControl. I need fine grained control over the rendering, so I override Render() and output the child controls myself, interspersed with HTML generation code: writer.AddStyleAttribute("float", "left"); writer.RenderBeginTag(System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriterTag.Div); writer.RenderBeginTag(System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriterTag.Strong); writer.Write("Table"); writer.RenderEndTag(); // strong writer.WriteBreak(); tableList.RenderControl(writer); writer.RenderEndTag(); // div This works really well for user controls that just contain simple controls without children of their own. However, if I want to use something like a MultiView or an UpdatePanel I run into problems, since I can't override Render() on View or UpdatePanel without extending them, and if I do extend them the implementation would presumably have to depend on FindControl() voodoo to get references to the right controls during render. That doesn't sound like the right way to do this - is there a better way?

  • Grafting Scala 2.8 into a Netbeans NBAndroid Project...What steps am I missing?

    - by Michael Kohout
    Hi All; Due to Apple's recent T+C hijinks, I've become interested in developing for Android. Anyways, I'm trying to get a mixed-language Android 2.1 project going in Netbeans 6.8 (with the NBAndroid 0.10 plugin). The two languages being Java and Scala(2.8 head build). To give you a basic idea of what the app does right now, it's just a simple "Hello World" app. To get this to build, I've modified the projects's build.xml file: -- -injars ${scala-library}(!META-INF/MANIFEST.MF,!library.properties) -outjars "${build.classes.dir}/classes.min.jar" -libraryjars "${file.reference.android.jar}" -dontwarn -dontoptimize -dontobfuscate -keep public class * extends android.app.Activity -keep public class scala.xml.include.sax.Main** I've gotten the project so that it'll build, but it errors on startup in my Android Emulator(inside the emulator Android tells me my application has stopped unexpectedly). So my questions are: Does anyone see what I may be doing wrong? And is there any way to get access to the logs that the emulator must create? thanks Mike Kohout

  • how to push data from BlazeDS without recieve message from Flex client?

    - by Teerasej
    Hi, everyone I am using BlazeDS for data-push feature in my Flex application project. From the official tutorial, Getting started with BlazeDS, it shows messaging example with producer/consumer from API. but how can I implement server side which doesn't need to be invoke from Flex client, but from within server-side instead. I got some idea but I don't know how to do because I'm a Flex developer, not Java developer, so I think you can help me. In Google, there's a tutorial show about I need to extend ServiceAdapter class in Java-side, which extends Invoke method. Do I need to extend other class instead of this to do what I want? How to configure the message-config.xml to get the result like I describe above?

  • Extending the RoleProvider GetRolesForUser()

    - by Farinha
    The GetRolesForUser() method in the RoleProvider takes the user login name and returns the list of roles for that user. But in my application this is not enough, I need a few more pieces of information to be able to get the user's roles. How can I get this extra information into the method? I have it in the Session, but I found out that Session is not available in the RoleProvider. What I had in mind was putting this extra info in some class that extends MembershipUser, assuming I can get to it inside the RoleProvider. But I don't know how to create the CustomMembershipUser and make it part of the MembershipProvider. Is this even possible? The easy way out would be using cookies, but I'm trying to keep away from it.

Now, I am still able to pan around the webpage though the scroll bars are not visible. How can I fix the view so that I am not able to pan (or scroll) the webpage? By panning, I mean moving around the webpage with an onTouch event.

    Hi, i'm trying this code found on internet...it should show a toast for OutComing call event using a BroadcastReceiver but on my htc tattoo with Android 1.6 it doesn't works (it don't show any toast) public class HFBroadcastOutComingRecevier extends BroadcastReceiver{ @Override public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { Toast.makeText(context, "Phone Event", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); Bundle bundle = intent.getExtras(); if(null == bundle) return; String phonenumber = intent.getStringExtra(Intent.EXTRA_PHONE_NUMBER); String info = "Detect Calls sample application\nOutgoing number: " + phonenumber; Toast.makeText(context, info, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } } Naturally i've registered the BroadcastReceiver on my Manifest as: and with this permissions: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS"/> Any idea?

  • Scala method where type of second parameter equals part of generic type from first parameter

    - by ifischer
    I want to create a specific generic method in Scala. It takes two parameters. The first is of the type of a generic Java Interface (it's from the JPA criteria query). It currently looks like this: def genericFind(attribute:SingularAttribute[Person, _], value:Object) { ... } // The Java Interface which is the type of the first parameter in my find-method: public interface SingularAttribute<X, T> extends Attribute<X, T>, Bindable<T> Now i want to achieve the following: value is currently of type java.lang.Object. But I want to make it more specific. Value has to be the of the same type as the placeholder "_" from the first parameter (and so represents the "T" in the Java interface). Is that somehow possible, and how? BTW Sorry for the stupid question title (any suggestions?)

  • Java - SwingWorker - Can we call one SwingWorker from other SwingWorker instead of EDT

    - by Yatendra Goel
    I have a SwingWorker as follows: public class MainWorker extends SwingWorker(Void, MyObject) { : : } I invoked the above Swing Worker from EDT: MainWorker mainWorker = new MainWorker(); mainWorker.execute(); Now, the mainWorker creates 10 instances of a MyTask class so that each instance will run on its own thread so as to complete the work faster. But the problem is I want to update the gui from time to time while the tasks are running. I know that if the task was executed by the mainWorker itself, I could have used publish() and process() methods to update the gui. But as the tasks are executed by threads different from the Swingworker thread, how can I update the gui from intermediate results generated by threads executing tasks.

  • Route all requests through PageController except existing controllers (Zend Framework)

    - by ChrisRamakers
    For a new CMS i've developed a Pages module that allows me to manage the site's tree structure. Each page is reachable from the url http://www.example.com/pageslug/ where pageslug identifies the page being called. What I want to achieve now is a route that allows me to route all incoming requests to a single PagesController unless it's a request to an existing controller (like images for example). It's easy enough to catch all requests to the Pages Controller but how to exclude existing controllers? This is my module bootstrap. How can i achieve this in the most preferrable way <?php class Default_Bootstrap extends Zend_Application_Module_Bootstrap { protected function _initRoute() { $this->bootstrap('frontController'); /* @var $frontcontroller Zend_Controller_Front */ $frontcontroller = $this->getResource('frontController'); $router = $frontcontroller->getRouter(); $router->addRoute( 'all', new Zend_Controller_Router_Route('*', array('controller' => 'pages', 'action' => 'view') ) ); } }

  • Accessing super class function using subclass object

    - by bdhar
    I have an object for a subclass who is of it's superclass type. There is a overridden function in subclass which gets executed when called using the object. How to call the parent's function using the same object? Is there any way to achieve this? package supercall; public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) { SomeClass obj = new SubClass(); obj.go(); } } class SomeClass { SomeClass() { } public void go() { System.out.println("Someclass go"); } } class SubClass extends SomeClass { SubClass() { } @Override public void go() { System.out.println("Subclass go"); } } Consider the code above. Here it prints Subclass go . Instead I have to print Superclass go .
