    Internet Explorer has an option to save a web page as a text file, with all the tags removed. I need a way to batch process that stuff for a project at work. Or there any command line utilities or libraries that can do the same thing for me? COM-interop with IE(not my first choice!)? It doesn't have to format exactly like IE, just give me plain text.

    I have an intranet server running on a Windows XP computer and the internet connection on it has been known to be pretty unreliable (surprise, surprise) so I was wondering if there was a way to use an AppleScript to poll it every hour or so to see if it is up and running and if it isn't, execute something, like send myself an email.     Can anybody please tell me the registry setting(s) that are affected in Windows Mobile 6.1 when a user selects Start - Settings - Connections - Wi-Fi and then changes the value of the "My network card connects to" drop down list on the "Network Adapters" tab? I have a device that seems to default this to "The Internet" when in fact the Wi-Fi connects to the corporate network and I would like to be able to change this programatically rather than expecting 250+ users to have to do it manually every time they reboot their devices.     My app has outgrown just the one vps server (using Mediatemple DV). I want to put the database on another server. Does it have to be another Mediatemple server?     In our organization, we are still on .net 1.1 environment, using javascript, a few open source applications/widgets. Development is done using Visual Studio 2003, grid view, and iframes. Our application works in Internet Explorer 7 and IE 8 (in compatibilily mode). Can anyone give any basic steps we can take to get our application to work cross browsers? I am using a local Apache server for the application, and am trying to figure out what the best way is to simulate offline mode (currently, in Firefox I disable my Air-Port to simulate offline mode, but this is a pain). Any suggestions? I am open to using other browsers if a method exists that doesn't require turning off my Internet.
