  • How do I allow an email discussion list in MOSS to collect messages from any email sender

    - by glenatron
I have a Sharepoint discussion list that belongs to an Exchange list with the idea that it will be able to archive discussions on that list and make them generally accessible, searcheable and so on. The problem is that although I have checked the "Accept e-mail messages from any sender" option on the discussion board, it still appears to only be seeing emails from members of the domain, nothing sent to the list from outside gets picked up by the Sharepoint site. Any suggestions as to what else I have to do?

  • How do Python and PHP compare for ecommerce?

    - by Ibn Saeed
If I were to start an ecommerce store, which language would you suggest I start with? Python or PHP? And would it be wise to use Python for an ecommerce site in favor of PHP? PHP has lots of shopping carts, both open source and commercial. Is Python the future of Web Development ? Edit: I would like to clear out that i am not asking for Shopping carts solutions and links to them.

  • How to make Google Chrome JavaScript console persistent?

    - by zladuric
Since I'm building a dynamic site, I need to track the changes between pages, ie. Ajax calls, POST, GET stuff and similar stuff. I'm looking for the same functionality like in Firebug (where you can enable "persistent" and the console is not cleared every time you reload a page or submit a form. So, my questions is: is there a way to make Google Chrome JavaScript console persistent? (And if yes, how?)

I can't get in touch with my friend at the moment as he is on holiday. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

  • CAML queries: how to filter folders from result set?

    - by drax
Hi all, I'm using caml query to select all documents which were modified or added by user. Query runs recursively on all subsites of specified site collection. Now problem is I can't get rid of folders which are also part of result set. For now I'm filtering them from result datatable. But I'm wondering: Is it possible to filter out folders from result set just by using caml?

  • setting up Google Webpage Optimizer where text and conversion pages are the same

    - by Lukich
Hi. I have a site where both landing and thank you page are index.php page with different content loaded dynamically. As I'm generating the javascript and trying to validate it, it gives me an error saying that JS is not installed on the thank you page, which makes sense, because its content is not loaded yet. I was wondering how I can circumvent this issue? Any suggestions? Thanks! Luka

    - by ChrisWesAllen
Hello guys, I'm trying to add some online tests to my site and before I rolled up my sleeves I was wondering if there is any ruby on rails plugin support for such a task. Essentially I'm looking for something that lets me add multiple choice questions. Performing the scoring logic would be an added bonus. Any one know of anything?

  • Why is Perl commonly used as CGI scripts?

    - by Michael Vasquez
I plan to add a better search feature to my site, so I thought that I would write it in C and use the CGI as a means to access it. But it seems that Perl is the most popular language when it comes to CGI-based stuff. Why is that? Wouldn't it be faster programmed in C or machine code? What advantages, if any, are there to writing it in a scripting language? Thanks.

  • protect_from_forgery & Unobtrusive Javascript

    - by Matt Grande
Hi all, I have some javascript making an ajax call in my Rails site: $.ajax({type: "PUT", url: url, data: { dummy: data }, complete: function(data) {}}); When Rails gets it, it throws back an ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken Error. I'd like to keep the protect_from_forgery stuff in there, if possible... But I'm at a loss for how can I pass the auth token from a javascript file? Can anyone help me out?

  • Silverlight 4 IN Browser Socket

    - by Benny
I need to use a TCP socket connecting to a port outside of 4502-4532 while running in browser. I know it is possible to do out of browser with allowing full access, but how can I do it inside the browser? I am connecting to an old Unix system so I would prefer not to host a web site hosting a clientaccesspolicy.xml file. Thanks in advance!

  • Difference between Python urllib.urlretrieve() and wget

    - by jrdioko
I am trying to retrieve a 500mb file using Python, and I have a script which uses urllib.urlretrieve(). There seems to some network problem between me and the download site, as this call consistently hangs and fails to complete. However, using wget to retrieve the file tends to work without problems. What is the difference between urlretrieve() and wget that could cause this difference?

What I want to do is be able to right click on a link (but not have to actually highlight it) and be able to click send and the links href value is grabbed and sent. The bit I'm having trouble with is detecting if the selected element is an anchor and grabbing it's href. Many thanks for any help given :)
