  • I want to get the value from one class (SearchTableViewController.m) to another class (HistoryTableV

    - by ahmet732
#import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @class SearchDetailViewController; @interface SearchTableViewController : UITableViewController <UISearchBarDelegate, UITableViewDelegate, UITableViewDataSource>{ IBOutlet UITableView *myTableView; NSMutableArray *tableData;//will be storing data that will be displayed in table. //Search array den buna aktarma yapcaz ilerde görceksin. NSMutableArray *searchedData;//will be storing data matching with the search string UISearchBar *sBar;//search bar NSMutableArray *searchArray; // It holds the medicines that are shown in tableview SearchDetailViewController * searchDetailViewController; NSMutableArray *deneme; } @property(nonatomic,retain)UISearchBar *sBar; @property(nonatomic,retain)IBOutlet UITableView *myTableView; @property(nonatomic,retain)NSMutableArray *tableData; @property(nonatomic,retain)NSMutableArray *searchedData; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *searchArray; @property (nonatomic, retain) SearchDetailViewController *searchDetailViewController; @property (nonatomic, copy) NSMutableArray *deneme; @end SearchTableViewController.m - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { // Navigation logic may go here. Create and push another view controller. // AnotherViewController *anotherViewController = [[AnotherViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"AnotherView" bundle:nil]; // [self.navigationController pushViewController:anotherViewController]; // [anotherViewController release]; **deneme= [[NSMutableArray alloc]init]; deneme=[tableData objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];** ****NSLog(@"my row = %@", deneme);**// I holded one of the selected cells here** HistoryTableViewController.m - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { // Navigation logic may go here. Create and push another view controller. // AnotherViewController *anotherViewController = [[AnotherViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"AnotherView" bundle:nil]; // [self.navigationController pushViewController:anotherViewController]; // [anotherViewController release]; **SearchTableViewController *obj= [[SearchTableViewController alloc]init];** **NSLog(@"my 2nd row= %@", [obj deneme]); //it prints nil** } My project is TabBar. There are two buttons on it- Search and History. I want to display selected items in a table in History tab. • Releasing Autoreleasepool crashes on iOS 4.0 (and only on 4.0)

    - by samsam
Hi there. I'm wondering what could cause this. I have several methods in my code that i call using performSelectorInBackground. Within each of these methods i have an Autoreleasepool that is being alloced/initialized at the beginning and released at the end of the method. this perfectly works on iOS 3.1.3 / 3.2 / 4.2 / 4.2.1 but it fataly crashes on iOS 4.0 with a EXC_BAD_ACCESS Exception that happens after calling [myPool release]. After I noticed this strange behaviour I was thinking about rewriting portions of my code and to make my app "less parallel" in case that the client os is 4.0. After I did that, the next point where the app crashed was within the ReachabilityCallback-Method from Apples Reachability "Framework". well, now I'm not quite sure what to do. The things i do within my threaded methods is pretty simple xml parsing (no cocoa calls or stuff that would affect the UI). After each method finishes it posts a notification which the coordinating-thread listens to and once all the parallelized methods have finished, the coordinating thread calls viewcontrollers etc... I have absolutely no clue what could cause this weird behaviour. Especially because Apples Code fails as well. any help is greatly appreciated! thanks, sam

  • Isuue when uploading new version to app store

    - by user2978997
Can I use new certificate and provisioning profile to upload new version? We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "EMTV News". To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected: Invalid Provisioning Profile - The provisioning profile included in the bundle com.pointabout.C1E322F0 (Payload/EMTV.app) is invalid. (Missing code-signing certificate.) For more information, visit the iOS Developer Portal. Once these issues have been corrected, go to the Version Details page and click "Ready to Upload Binary." Continue through the submission process until the app status is "Waiting for Upload." You can then deliver the corrected binary. Regards, The App Store team Note: I am using new Certificate and provisioning profile but same bundle ID which is being used in old version of the app.

  • When to release a class with delegates

    - by Stefan Mayr
A quick question to delegates. Lets say, CLASSA has a delegate defined: @protocol MyDelegate -(void) didFinishUploading; @end In CLASSB I create an instance of CLASS A -(void) doPost { CLASSA *uploader = [[CLASSA alloc] init]; uploader.delegate = self; // this means CLASSB has to implement the delegate uploader.post; } and also in CLASSB: -(void)didFinishUploding { } So when do I have to release the uploader? Because when I release it in doPost, it is not valid anymore in didFinishUploading. Thanks

  • Not receiving touchesEnded/Moved/Cancelled after adding subView

    - by Sam
Title more or less says it all. In response to a touchesBegan event, my UIViewController recolours itself and adds some subviews. It never receives the touchesEnded. I guess because the added subviews are somehow intercepting the event. I tried calling resignFirstResponder on the subviews to no avail. The code works fine when I don't add the child views and the touch events are called as normal. Any ideas? Thanks

  • UIViewController is popped from view stack and NSURLConnection crashes the application

    - by rickharrison
I am pushing a UIViewController onto a UINavigationController. This view controller immediately starts a download of an xml feed and then parses it. However, if you hit the back button before it is done downloading, and crashes with EXC_BAD_ACCESS. The line that is crashing it is in parserDidEndDocument and is this line: if (self.delegate && [self.delegate conformsToProtocol:@protocol(ModelDelegate)]) [self.delegate modelDidFinishParsing:self]; I assume it is crashing because it is trying to access self.delegate which is not assigned anymore. How do I get around this? Also, I would release the model object in the modelDidFinishParsing method. How would I release this model if it never reaches this method.

  • Generating authentication header from azure table through objective-c

    - by user923370
    I'm fetching data from iCloud and for that I need to generate a header (azure table storage). I used the code below for that and it is generating the headers. But when I use these headers in my project it is showing "make sure that the value of authorization header is formed correctly including the signature." I googled a lot and tried many codes but in vain. Can anyone kindly please help me with where I'm going wrong in this code. -(id)generat{ NSString *messageToSign = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@/%@/%@", dateString,AZURE_ACCOUNT_NAME, tableName]; NSString *key = @"asasasasasasasasasasasasasasasasasasasasas=="; const char *cKey = [key cStringUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; const char *cData = [messageToSign cStringUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; unsigned char cHMAC[CC_SHA256_DIGEST_LENGTH]; CCHmac(kCCHmacAlgSHA256, cKey, strlen(cKey), cData, strlen(cData), cHMAC); NSData *HMAC = [[NSData alloc] initWithBytes:cHMAC length:sizeof(cHMAC)]; NSString *hash = [Base64 encode:HMAC]; NSLog(@"Encoded hash: %@", hash); NSURL *url=[NSURL URLWithString: @"http://my url"]; NSMutableURLRequest *request = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; [request addValue:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"SharedKeyLite %@:%@",AZURE_ACCOUNT_NAME, hash] forHTTPHeaderField:@"Authorization"]; [request addValue:dateString forHTTPHeaderField:@"x-ms-date"]; [request addValue:@"application/atom+xml, application/xml"forHTTPHeaderField:@"Accept"]; [request addValue:@"UTF-8" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Accept-Charset"]; NSLog(@"Headers: %@", [request allHTTPHeaderFields]); NSLog(@"URL: %@", [[request URL] absoluteString]); return request; } -(NSString*)rfc1123String:(NSDate *)date { static NSDateFormatter *df = nil; if(df == nil) { df = [[NSDateFormatter alloc] init]; df.locale = [[[NSLocale alloc] initWithLocaleIdentifier:@"en_US"] autorelease]; df.timeZone = [NSTimeZone timeZoneWithAbbreviation:@"GMT"]; df.dateFormat = @"EEE',' dd MMM yyyy HH':'mm':'ss 'GMT'"; } return [df stringFromDate:date]; }

  • Why do I not get low memory issues until images are draw on the screen?

    - by maxpower
I am able to load over 200 UIImage objects into a NSMutableDictionary without any memorry warning issues. When I start displaying them on the screen (after about showing 10-20 images) I get low memory warnings and an eventual crash. Only about 8 images are displayed at anyone time. Does it take additional memory to actually draw a UIImage on the screen? No memory leaks are showing up and i've reviewed code for leaks many many times.

  • Using NSPredicate to filter on both Core attribute and entity

    - by Ben Thompson
I have two entities in core data (call them entityOne and entityTwo). I have a entityOne<---entityTwo relationship between them. I am now trying to code an NSPredicate to fetch entityTwo objects on the following basis: Fetch entityTwo objects that have a relationship with a specified entityOne object. Filter out those entityTwo objects which have no value for one of their attributes. I am best doing both of these in an NSPredicate or is there a better way? I am trying the following: NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"(attribute <> "") AND (relationship == entityOne"]; [request setPredicate:predicate]; Any pointers on coding great fully received.

  • iOS Core Data migration: moving something from an entity into a file

    - by Tim Sullivan
I have a scenario where I'm moving the contents of a blob stored in a core data entity into a file. I need a way to export that data during a migration, where I know the entity that's being converted and save the blob to a file, writing the location of that file into the converted entity's appropriate attribute. I can't seem to find a way to do this. The docs regarding the Three Stage Migration seem to indicate what can be done, but I'm not sure where to define things, or what exactly to define.

  • Is it true that one should not use NSLog() on production code?

    - by jpm
I was told this a few times in this very site, but I wanted to make sure this is really the case. I was expecting to be able to sprinkle NSLog function calls throughout my code, and that Xcode/gcc would automatically strip those calls out when building my Release/Distribution builds. Should I avoid using this? If so, what alternatives are most common between experienced Objective-C programmers?

  • My UITableView has duplicated rows

    - by Mark
Im not sure why, but my UITableView, which isnt anything fancy, is showing repeating rows when it shouldnt be. It seems that the rows that get added when the user scrolls (i.e. the rows that are off the screen to start with) are getting the data for the wrong row index. Its almost like when a new cell is de-queued, it's using a cell that 'was' used, but wasn't cleaned up correctly. Do you need to 'clean up' cells that are de-queue so that new cells dont use cells that are already created? my code is as below: - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CustomCellIdentifier = @"CustomCellIdentifier"; MyDayCell *cell = (MyDayCell *)[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier: CustomCellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { NSArray *nib = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"MyDayCell" owner:self options:nil]; for (id oneObject in nib) if ([oneObject isKindOfClass:[MyDayCell class]]) cell = (MyDayCell *)oneObject; } NSUInteger section = [indexPath section]; NSUInteger row = [indexPath row]; NSArray *thisSectionItems = (NSArray*)[self.listData objectForKey: [[NSNumber alloc] initWithInt:section]]; MyDayDetails *rowData = [thisSectionItems objectAtIndex:row]; //setup my cells data here... return cell; } Is there anything wrong with this code? has anyone seen anything like this before?

  • Tableview with sections managed by fetched results controller

    - by Matthes
Hi, I'm quite new to CoreData and need help with one issue. I have tableview which simply lists cities stored in SQLite db. City is defined by "cityId" and "name" attributes. Data are fetched using NSFetchedResultsController and everything works fine except that I can't figure out how to make FetchedResultsController to group cities by first letter of city names. When I supply "name" for sectionNameKeyPath argument of initWithFetchRequest:managedObjectContext:sectionNameKeyPath:cacheName: method, it creates section for each city, which is obviously something I don't want. I can't figure out how to create an expression which would make it work in way I need. thanks for any tips and/or advices on this Matthes

  • Memory Allocation increases in didSelectRowAtIndexPath

    - by mongeta
Hello, I'm testing my App and in a very simple view, each time a tap on a UITableView row, my allocation overall bytes get higher and higher and never go downs. I don't have any special code there, so I created a new project from scratch with a very simple view, force one section and just three rows. In the didSelectRowAtIndexPath code do nothing, and fire it with instruments and memory allocation and, the memory goes up with every cell selection ... Is this normal behaviour ? thanks, regards, m.
