  • WMV will play audio but not show images (dark screen)

    This happens on one computer. On the other computer I can see the video. I've installed GStreamer, FFMpeg and Ubuntu Restricted Extras. On the computer where it doesn't work, I've tried both Movie Player and VLC. There must be some difference between the two computers, but how can I obtain all the system information in such a way that a diff could be reasonably done? Or just any other suggestion on how to solve this would be appreciated. :-)

    I am planing to build a website which one of its main features is the usage of pictures. I was wondering what existing techniques are used to prevent offensive pictures (i.e pornography) to get loaded by users. i.e What does Facebook or Pinterest use? As well I would like to know what your recommendations would be to control offensive pictures to get uploaded to the site (OpenSource tools maybe..) Taking into consideration this is a personal project and will be developed with a very small budget. Thank you

  • Encrypt images before uploading to Dropbox [migrated]

    I want to encrypt a file first before the file will be uploaded to the dropbox. So i have implement the encryption inside the uploading of the codes. However, there is an error after i integrate the codes together. Where did my mistake go wrong? Error at putFileOverwriteRequest and it says The method putFileOverwriteRequest(String, InputStream, long, ProgressListener) in the type DropboxAPI is not applicable for the arguments (String, FileOutputStream, long, new ProgressListener(){}) Another problem is that this FileOutputStream fis = new FileOutputStream(new File("dont know what to put in this field")); i do not know where to put the file so that after i read the file, it will call the path and then upload to the Dropbox. Anyone is kind to help me in this? As time is running out for me and i still cant solve the problem. Thank you in advance.   • AS3 - At exactly 23 empty alpha channels, images below stop drawing

    I noticed, while trying to draw large numbers of circles, that occasionally, there would be some kind of visual bug where some circles wouldn't draw properly. Well, I narrowed it down, and have noticed that if there is 23 or more objects with 00 for an alpha value on the same spot, then the objects below don't draw. It appears to be on a pixel-by-pixel basis, since parts of the image still draw. Originally, this problem was noticed with a class that inherited Sprite. It was confirmed to also be a problem with Sprites, and now Bitmaps, too. If anyone can find a lower-level class than Bitmap which doesn't have this problem, please speak up so we can try to find the origin of the problem. I prepared a small test class that demonstrates what I mean. You can change the integer value at line 20 in order to see the three tests I came up with to clearly show the problem. Is there any kind of workaround, or is this just a limit that I have to work with? Has anyone experienced this before?   • How to add metadata to images using Shotwell

    Using Ubuntu 13.04. I have a very basic question about Shotwell. I would like to add a desciption to my photos. I right-click on an image in Nautilus. Choose Open with Shotwell photo viewer. I can't find a way to edit any metadata for the photo. As an example, Shotwell help: http://yorba.org/shotwell/help/view-view.html ... says that I should be able to select Photos Edit title, but I don't have this option in my menu. (I have 'Photo' but not 'Photos'). F2 does nothing for me. My menu options are: File, Edit, View, Photo, Help. I'm missing something very basic here. Grateful for your help!

  • Gridview - Conditional Images

    This Gridview sample shows how to, for each row, based on other data within that row, to show a different image. We do this by creating a TemplateField, and putting an ASP.Net Image control within it, called 'Image1'. Then, inside the RowDataBound event of the Gridview, we put code, which first, checks and finds the Image control in that row, and then assigning a different JPG file to the ImageURL property of that image. One other thing here, you'll notice, is that when the criteria is matched, we set the Image control's Visible property to 'True'. That's because, one extra criteria is, that if the Units In Stock is larger than 80, we set the Image control's Visible property to 'False'. Naturally, since we're checking one particular column in the Gridview for this data, we're using a Select Case statement.

  • Recovering damaged external hard disk by installing internally

    I had a 1TB Western Digital (My book series) 3.5" USB3. One day, the SATA to USB3 converter board was damaged and has not worked since. I decided to open the cover and use the HDD as an internal HDD. When I attached the HDD to my PC and booted up in Windows, it asked me which type of ????? I want to use "MBR or GBR" (I dont remember the exact question) I chose MBR and Windows gave me a 1TB empty Hard drive. I tried to recover with recover my files and some other recovery programs but no success. Some one told me that you should choosed GBR instead of MBR . How can I do that now? Another guy told me that the SATA to USB3 converter board is coded to save data on HDD and you can not use them internally without losing data, and I should find another SATA to USB3 board (exact same). It is impossible to find because they are not produced any more. Please help me to find a solution to bring back my data. UPDATE I have 1TB WD "Mybook" USB 3. the board that convert sata to usb3 was damaged. so when the HDD was in the box computer did not recognize it. I opened the box and remove HDD to use it internal. after connecting to my PC windows showed me one massage that I had two choice MBR or GPT I choosed MBR one and windows gave me 1TB empty new volume. I tried many recovery software to recover my data but no success. I brought it to one expert recovery company and they told me the converter board (SATA to USB3) make some encryption on data and with out that board you cannot recover any thing. so I bought another empty WD box and put the HDD inside but even after that also there is no file. I tried to recover again in this state but no success. so I have some unanswered question. does this converted boards make any password or encryption? if yes how can I solve it? does using many recovery programs affected my data? any suggestion or solution for bring back my data? I had use recovery programs such as : recover my files , EaseUS data recovery, easy recovery, test disk, Ontrack easy recovery . Note: when I was using test disk it asked me to choose which partition table I want to use. as it was I choose NTFS, does this made any change on data?

    I have three UIImageViews. enemy1, enemy1AggroBox and mainSprite. What I want to do is when mainSprite and enemy1AggroBox interect, I want enemy1 to start moving towards mainSprite.
