  • Splitting a texture atlas into seperate images

    - by bigtunacan
I'm doing a port of an existing game and the designer no longer has all of the original art; he only has the resulting texture atlases he used when developing for iPad. The tool I'm using won't support these files so I need to break them back out into separate PNG files. I'm hoping someone knows of a software tool that does this. PC software would be preferred in this case, but Mac would suffice.

  • How to merge two .iso images

    - by pgrytdal
I am following this tutorial to install Android onto my computer VIA Virtual Box. My problem is, they want you to download liveandroidv0.3.iso.001 liveandroidv0.3.iso.002 then they want you to merge these two files with cat liveandroidv0.3.iso.001 liveandroidv0.3.iso.002 > liveandroidv0.3.iso in the Terminal. The problem is, when I run the command, I get the following output cat liveandroidv0.3.iso.001 liveandroidv0.3.iso.002 > liveandroidv0.3.iso cat: liveandroidv0.3.iso.001: No such file or directory cat: liveandroidv0.3.iso.002: No such file or directory So, I was wondering if there was an alternative way to merge these files? Or if you guy's could help me merge them this way? Extra info: OS: Ubuntu 12.10 I downloaded the files to my /downloads folder in my home directory.

  • VMware Fusion disk size

    - by churnd
I have a Windows XP x64 install in VMware Fusion. The amount of space that the VM reports as used (C:) is ~20GB. However, the amount of space the VM is taking up on my disk is 30GB. Why the inconsistency? I do not have autoprotect enabled, nor do I have any snapshots I'm aware of. I have defragmented the drive and used Drive Cleanup from the VMware settings.

  • [Ubuntu]df Total size is not correct compared with the size of the disk

    - by John John
I'm running Ubuntu Squeeze and on one of the partitions df is showing the Total size as 335G: Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sdb 335G 225G 94G 71% /mnt However in the past it was showing as 360GB (which is the actual size): fdisk -l /dev/sdb Disk /dev/sdb: 365.0 GB, 365041287168 bytes lsof +L1 does not return anything (and anyway if this would be the case the Total space should not be affected.) On this partition I'm writing (and deleting) a lot of files and this happened before in the past, but problem solved by itself.

  • Disable printing extraneous job info when I print a images

    - by pgrytdal
As of 10/11/12 I this is still a problem. Peterling, that link you gave me was for Windows. Not Ubuntu. I need to know how to do this in Ubuntu. Whenever I print off an image, before the actual image prints, I get these weird "print job" sheets. (I named them that, because I don't know what else to call them.) They say something like: Media Limits: 0.12 x 0.38 to 8.38 x 10.38 inches Job ID: Officejet-Pro-L7700-64 Driver: hp-officejet_pro_17700.ppd Driver version: Description: HP Officejet Pro L7700 Make and Model: HP Officejet Pro L7700, hpcups 3.12.2 Printer: Officejet-Pro-L7700 Created at: Fri Sep 28 14:12:53 2012 Printed at: Fri Sep 28 14:12:53 2012 How do I fix this so the page doesn't print?

  • Prevent abuse of public HTTP directory meant for images

    - by sutre
The situation: Each user has their own public HTTP directory, meant for images only. This could easily be abused by users using it to serve large files, wasting bandwidth. The question: Is there any fairly simple way to prevent this abuse? Either by allowing the webserver to only images to be served, restricting size, or some other method.
