• open webim ( Mibew Messenger ) time out, reconnecting

  hi, i hope you guys know about webim a.k.a mibew messenger. I know only java, jsp and no idea about php except for some basics. Anyways, i ran this app in my apache2.2 local server. Everything works superb! But if i change my db to a virtual machine and give its address in the config.php (previously i had used localhost), in the visitors page, i get timeout, reconnecting. Login has no prob, so my guess is db connection is fine. I even changed the default page refresh time from 2 to 10. Nothing happens. Still same thing. You guys have any idea?

  Use VS2010 silverlight business application template to createa defaut solution. Change authentication to Windows in Web.config and the code in app.xaml.cs to use windows authentication. Nothing else changed. Then run this app from vs2010 built-in web server, it is fine, I can see the login user info from windws(from a AD domain account) display on the top-right of the screen, like DomainName\userName. Then deploy this web app to IIS on windows 7(same computer) and access this app again, I got following error: HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.   I apologize if this has already been answered, but all the information out there on Facebook publishing is so confusing and conflicting, I haven't been able to get anything to work yet. I'm trying to set up an application that runs on my local server to publish content to my organization's fan page (this will tie in with my WCMS to cross-post content). I believe I want a Facebook Connect application to do this which I've set up properly in Facebook and gotten an application key and secret. Here's the code I'm trying to execute, but each time it's run I get "User has not authorized access" even if I'm just trying to publish to the application wall. ConnectSession fbSession = new ConnectSession("APP_KEY", "APP_SECRET"); Api fbAPI = new Api(fbSession); fbAPI.Stream.Publish("hello world"); I've also tried: fbAPI.Stream.Publish("hello world", null, null, FAN_PAGE_ID, APP_ID); I've granted my application access to publish on the fan page.

• DIV overlap on top of submit order INPUT button not working right in IE7

  I created a test account at www.avaline.com: username: [email protected] pass:test02 I'll keep the account around so you can see what's going on with this submit button without going through the registration process (and needing to fill in a fake address, etc). If logging in doesn't work, you can create your own test account though. Make sure at least one item is in your shopping cart, hit "proceed to checkout", and check off "PayPal" as your payment method (this way the payment won't go through for testing purposes). Once you're on the "review and submit" page, in IE7 (at least), hover over the "pay with Paypal" button, and you'll see that the cursor is a hand when you hover over the text or the button border, but it's a regular arrow when you hover over the button part. If you try clicking on the arrow-cursor area, you'll get the error that you should see...but if you click on the hand-cursor area, you get redirected to the paypal page. In FF, the #hidSubm DIV covers the "Pay with Paypal" button. Why isn't it working in IE7?

  I created a database on a local SQL server that we use for development. I created the log and data files on a second hard drive (E:\MSSQL\DATA). I am using this database to do some speed tests so I created a lot of data (7 Million rows). I started running some pretty intensive queries and to get some test data I ran an update statement that updated all 7 million rows and now it has taken up all of the space on my C:\, which I don't understand since I put the data files on the E:\. Is there some files on the C:\ that would be growing based on me running queries on this other database, if so how do I stop it? I am doing with this database but I need to get my C:\ back in order. The database file group was PRIMARY, is this relevant?

• Can I get an adapter for usb 3.0 to gigabit, or a gigabit switch with usb 3.0?

  Basically I want to be able to attach USB 3.0 external portable hard drives to my network and maintain at least gigabit speeds. I can think of four ways to do this, two of which I know exist: 1) NAS - get an NAS which features USB 3.0 and gigabit 2) Gigabit router with a USB 3.0 port and I want to know if these two exist: 3) gigabit switch (multiple gigabit ports) with at least one USB 3.0 port 4) USB 3.0 to gigabit adapter The gigabit adapter would be similar to this: http://www.addonics.com/products/nas30u2.php except that that is only USB 2.0 so it is not true gigabit, as gigabit is 125MBps but USB 2.0 is only 60MBps, so that adapter only has a maximum transfer speed of 60MBps and the "gigabit" is practically useless.

• Post parameters are becoming null (at random)

  Hi, My web application is developed with Struts2 and it was working fine till recently. All of a sudden one of the modules has started malfunctioning. The malfunctioning module is 'Update Student details' page. This page has a lot of fields like 'schoolName', 'degreeName', etc . School 1: <input name="schoolName"> School 2: <input name="schoolName"> ..... School n: <input name="schoolName"> As mentioned earlier, the page was working perfectly fine till recently. Now, one/many of the values of 'schoolName', 'degreeName', etc are being received as "" (EMPTY STRING) on the server-side. For debugging, I used firebug and remote-debugging in eclipse. I find that the post-parameters are correct on the client-side. For instance, during one of the submissions the post-parameters were as below (i noted them from firebug). Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=---------------------------2921238217421 Content-Length: 48893 <OTHER_PARAMETERS> <!--Truncated for clarity --> -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" ABC Institute -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" Test School -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" XYZ -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" Texas Institute -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" XXXX School -----------------------------2921238217421-- But on the server-side, the request params were as below: schoolName=[ABC Institute, Test School, XYZ, , XXXX School], "Texas Institute" was received as "" (EMPTY STRING) in this particular case. This is not happening consistently. The parameters that become NULL (or EMPTY STRING) seem random to me - during one instance, parameter schoolName[3] became null as illustrated above, parameter schoolName[2] became null during yet another submission, etc. At times, none of the parameters are nullified. The following is the list of the interceptors in the action definition. • Struts2 + Sitemesh + Freemarker doesn't work

  I've tried following every example i ccould find and i can't get struts2 + sitemesh + freemarker to work on a simple jsp. I have a very simple web.xml, a single action that just goes to index.jsp, and a simple .ftl decorator that just adds some text to the result. • Session resume problem with Strophe attach and Ejabberd

  I'm having a lot of difficulty getting strophe's 'attach()' function working. I am working on a social network where users will be surfing pages and at the same time keep their chat connection on. I don't want to reconnect/reauthorize on every page so as per this link (http://groups.google.com/group/strophe/browse_thread/thread/430da5e788278f3a/93c48c88164f382f?show_docid=93c48c88164f382f&fwc=1) i am storing the SID and RID into a cookie onunload. On the next page when i try to use the new SID and RID (after incrementing it by 1) my session is already destroyed. Ejabberd reports "Error on HTTP put. Reason: bad_key" WTF is happening?

• MIDL2003 Error in VC6 project

  While bug fixing I tracked a problem to an old vc6 compiled dll that hasn't been touched in nearly 3 years. After checking out the most recent source I am getting the following error when trying to compile. Processing C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT SDK\INCLUDE\msxml.idl msxml.idl .\ocidl.idl(1524) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IErrorLog .\ocidl.idl(1541) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IPropertyBag Google gives lots of suggestions regarding Visual Studio 2002 - 2003 errors but I can't find anything that relates to Visual Studio 6 or can be applied to my problem. I did find this page but following it's advice didn't fix my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (I am presuming that it did work once.) Other items of interest: I have the February 2003 Platform SDK installed, and looking at the add/remove program page I have Micrsoft XML Parser and SDK, MSXML 4.0 SP2 and MSXML 6.0 Parser too.

• Why does a ModalPopupExtender fail when using SSL?

  I have created a modal popup using the ModalPopupExtender in Microsoft's AJAX 1.0 for .NET 2.0. It works great when the page doesn't isn't being accessed through SSL (http://) however the link to close the popup fails to fire if accessing the page through https://. Is the ModalPopupExtender at blame? Is it a "Feature" of SSL to block popups, or is it something else I haven't though of?   I'm using the following code in an attempt to show a dialog with a list of errors on the client: if (rollout.ImportErrors.Count > 0) { ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(GetType(), "showErrors", "showErrors();", true); } The error count is non-zero and the following script block is emitted, but the script isn't executing. <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ $("#error-report").dialog("open")//]]> </script> If I call the function directly from a Firebug console window, the dialog shows properly, so I know the dialog and my code are working. What am I doing wrong? BTW, this code is in a content page, using a content placeholder that 'injects' code into the element of the rendered page.

• JQuery dirtyForm not working on text boxes in ajaxToolkit:TabPanel

  I'm a newb to jQ so please forgive my ignorance. I'm using Asa Wilson's plugin jquery.dirtyform.js to prompt a user of unsaved changes before they nav away from a page (ASP.Net C# 3.5). It basically loops through all controls and appends a class and handler to each input. Controls w/i an ajaxToolkit:TabPanel are ignored, unfortunately. I'd appreciate if anyone knows of this type of error and how to resolve it short of manually manipulating each control (as I have this logic in the master page). Thank you.

• 404 Error Hosting WCF Service via IIS 7.5 Shared Content

  We're attempting to host a WCF Service (.NET 3.5 SP1) using Shared Content on IIS 7.5. At the moment it's returning a 404 error. My assumption at this point is that WCF can not be hosted via a UNC path (See workaroundHosting WCF service in IIS6 using UNC). Steps I've taken: - Established a FullTrust to/with the UNC path. - The service works hosting it on a local disk. - A basic HTML page renders without issue from the UNC path. - A ASPX page renders without issue from the UNC path. - Explicitly set "Full Control" permissions to the user running the service. The reason for using Shared Content in IIS 7.5 to host this WCF Service, and several other websites, in a web farm. Using Shared Content avoids the need for file replication between the nodes in the farm. (Note we are also using Shared Configuration to support this environment.)

• AJAX and iFrame: Calling AJAX from inside the iFrame to Update an Outside DIV

  Hi there, I have a page where a user can upload a file along with some other input. Because I wanted this to be AJAX-like, I resorted to using an iFrame to accomplish this. After the file is uploaded and an iFrame is loaded with a response page, I need to update a DIV outside of the iFrame with an AJAX call. The reason for separate updates, is that the result of the outside DIV depends on the input that the user provided with the file input. Can this be done? Am I approaching this the wrong way?   I am making a website where users can vote on which category a page is. They can vote that the page is category, for example: a, b, c, or d. Please don't ask what I am using this for, it is not important, I just want to know how to do it. I need to find the most commonly occurring category in the mysql row out of all the votes. Each time a user submits their vote, it submits the "category" that they voted for, and the "page_id". I have this so far: select page_id, category from categories group by page_id You cannot simply use a "COUNT(*) where category = 'a'" then repeat it for each category because there is many more categories in the actual project.

• What AMF Servers Support Remote Shared Objects?

  Greetings. I'm planning on building a Flex based multiplayer game, and I'm researching what will be required for the server end. I have PHP experience, so I started looking at ZendAMF. Now in this game, I'll need the concept of rooms, and real time updates to clients in those rooms, so it looks like I'll be using remote shared objects (correct, yes?). I'm not seeing where ZendAMF can support this. So I found this page: http://arunbluebrain.wordpress.com/2009/03/04/flex-frameworks-httpcorlanorg/ It seems to indicate that ZendAMF isn't going to do what I want. WebORB for PHP seems to be the only PHP based solution that does messaging, but on that page it doesn't mention "real-time" next to it like the Java based ones below it do. What should I be looking at for the server piece with my requirements? Do I need to make the jump to something like BlazeDS and try to pick up a bit of Java knowledge? Thanks.

• Intel P6100 CPU and Mobile Intel® HM55 Express Chipset

  I have an Asus K52F-BBR5 notebook that uses an Intel P6100 ( 2GHZ 15x multiplier) and HM55 Express Chipset. I'm looking to replace it's 3GB with 8GB. The Crucial database seems to indicate that a PC3-8500 CAS 7 and PC3-10666 CAS 9 will both work. I'm not up to date on the latest DDR3 nomencalature and I'm wondering which would provide better performance. The price difference is negligible. Drawing on past experiences from many many years ago I could make an argument for either based on sync/async bus speed arguments and CAS latency differences but the truth is I don't know enough about the HM55 chipset to know which would be the correct choice. Does anyone know the answer or point me to information that would help me make the choice? I'm pretty sure the performance difference will be somewhat negligible also but still I'd like to make the optimal choice.

• Ninject.Web.PageBase still resulting in null reference to injected dependency

  I have an ASP.NET 3.5 WebForms application using Ninject 2.0. However, attempting to use the Ninject.Web extension to provide injection into System.Web.UI.Page, I'm getting a null reference to my injected dependency even though if I switch to using a service locator to provide the reference (using Ninject), there's no issue. [Update] Finally got back to this, and it works in Classic Pipeline mode, but not Integrated. Is the classic pipeline a requirement?
