    Inserting (pasting from clipboard) of text constants in the Delphi code editor requires some manual "postprocessing" ... split up long text into multiple lines (and insert the string concatenation symbol) escape quotes (replace single quotes with double quotes) enclose the string with quotes keep original white space (leadinng blanks, line feeds) Is there a IDE plugin available which helps to reduce these manual steps?

  • C# Assembly.GetTypes() - ReflectionTypeLoadException

    We implement a plugin framework for our application and load plugin assemblies using Assembly.Loadfrom. We then use GetTypes() and further examine the types with each plugin file for supported Interfaces. A path for the plugins is provided by the user and we cycle through each of the files in the folder to see if it (the plugin) supports our plugin interface. If it does, we create an instance, if not we move onto the next file. We build two versions of software from the one code base (appA_1 and appA_2). Loading the plugins works well when the plugins are loaded by the application that was built at the same time as the plugin file. However if we build appA_2 and point to the plugin folder of appA_1, we get an exception when GetTypes() is called. A basic version of our code is; var pluginAssembly = Assembly.LoadFrom(FileName); foreach (var pluginType in pluginAssembly.GetTypes()) { We get a "ReflectionTypeLoadException" exception. This is concerning because we want our application to be able to load the types of any plugin, built by anyone. Is there something we are missing?

    I've tried to build Tycho now for a couple of hours and just can't get it to work. I've followed these instructions: https://docs.sonatype.org/display/TYCHO/BuildingTycho So, I've downloaded Eclipse 3.6RC2 and Delta-packs linked from this instruction (is it for 3.5 only?): http:// (remove space) aniefer.blogspot.com/2009/06/using-deltapack-in-eclipse-35.html I've added the DeltaPack to the TargetPlatform inside of the Eclipse-installation. I've installed Maven: Apache Maven 3.0-beta-1 (r935667; 2010-04-19 19:00:39+0200) I can run the first bootstrap of the build, but the second fails: mvn clean install -e -V -Pbootstrap-2 -Dtycho.targetPlatform=$TYCHO_TARGET_PLATFORM ERROR] Internal error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not resolve plugin org.eclipse.core.net.linux.x86_null -> [Help 1] I've tried different stuff, I built an older revision against 3.5 as in this blogpost: http:// (remove space) divby0.blogspot.com/2010/03/im-in-love-with-tycho-08-and-maven-3.html and that actually built a running maven, but that version then can't find the tycho plugin: org.apache.maven.plugin.version.PluginVersionResolutionException: Error resolving version for plugin 'org.codehaus.tycho:maven-tycho-plugin' from the repositories [local (/Users/viktor/.m2/repository), central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2)]: Plugin not found in any plugin repository I thought that the point was that the plugin was going to build in when I had built a Tycho-dist…?   • Setting up magic routes for plugins in CakePHP 1.3?

    I'm working on upgrading my project from CakePHP 1.2 to 1.3. In the process, it seems that the "magic" routing for plugins by which a controller name (e.g.: "ForumsController") matching the plugin name (e.g.: "forums") no longer automatically routes to the root of the plugin URL (e.g.: "www.example.com/forums" pointing to plugin "forums", controller "forums", action "index"). The error message given is as follows: Error: ForumsController could not be found. Error: Create the class ForumsController below in file: app/controllers/forums_controller.php <?php class ForumsController extends AppController { var $name = 'Forums'; } ?> In fact, even if I navigate to "www.example.com/forums/forums" or "www.example.com/forums/forums/index", I get the same exact error. Do I need to explicitly set up routes to every single plugin I use? This seems to destroy a lot of the magic I like about CakePHP. I've only found that doing the following works: Router::connect('/forums/:action/*', array('plugin' => 'forums', 'controller' => 'forums')); Router::connect('/forums', array('plugin' => 'forums', 'controller' => 'forums', 'action' => 'index')); Setting up 2 routes for every single plugin seems like overkill, does it not? Is there a better solution that will cover all my plugins, or at least reduce the number of routes I need to set up for each plugin?

We also continue to support ASP.NET 3.5 and ASP.NET 4.0. With this release, we’ve made several important bug fixes. The Superexpert team focused on fixing the highest voted issues associated with the CascadingDropDown control. I’ve created a list of these bug fixes later in this blog post. You can download the latest release of the Ajax Control Toolkit by visiting the following page at CodePlex: http://AjaxControlToolkit.CodePlex.com Alternatively, you can install the latest version of the Ajax Control Toolkit using NuGet by firing off the following command from the Package Manager Console: Install-Package AjaxControlToolkit Using the Ajax Control Toolkit with ASP.NET 4.5 Let me walk through the steps for using the Ajax Control Toolkit with ASP.NET 4.5. First, I’ll create a new ASP.NET 4.5 website with Visual Studio 2012. I’ll create the new website with the ASP.NET Web Forms Application template: When you create a new ASP.NET 4.5 site with the ASP.NET Web Forms Application template, you get a starter website. If you run the site, then you get a page with default content: Let me show you how you can add the Ajax Control Toolkit Calendar control to the homepage of this starter site. We fixed the following issues associated with the CascadingDropDown: · 9490 – Don’t disable dropdowns in CascadingDropDown · 14223 – CascadingDropDown Reset or Setting SelectedValue from WebMethod · 12189 – CascadingDropDown not obeying disabled state of DropDownList · 22942 – CascadingDropDown infinite loop (with solution) · 8671 – CascadingDropdown options is null or undefined · 14407 – CascadingDropDown: populated client event happens too often · 17148 – CascadingDropDown – Add “UseHttpGet” property · 10221 – No NotNull check in CascadingDropDown · 12228 – Provide property for case-insensitive DefaultValue lookup in CascadingDropdown We also fixed the following two issues which are not directly related to the CascadingDropDown control: · 27108 – CalendarExtender: Bug when selecting December shifts to January. · 27041 – Input controls with HTML5 types do not post back in Firefox, Chrome, Safari Finally, we integrated several Pull Requests submitted by the community (Thank you community!): · Added French localized resources for the AjaxFileUpload · Resolved an issue which prevented the AjaxFileUpload control from working with pages that require query string variables. · Extended the AjaxFileUploadEventArgs class to include the current file index in the queue and the total number of files in the queue. · Fixed an issue with TabContainer and TabPanel which caused the OnActiveTabChanged event to fire too often. Summary I’m happy to see the Ajax Control Toolkit move forward into the brave new world of ASP.NET 4.5! In this latest release, we focused on ensuring that the Ajax Control Toolkit works smoothly with ASP.NET 4.5 applications. We also fixed the highest voted bugs associated with the CascadingDropDown control and integrated several Pull Request submitted by the community.   • Conflict between two Javascripts (MailChimp validation etc. scripts & jQuery hSlides.js)

    I have two scripts running on the same page, one is the jQuery.hSlides.js script http://www.jesuscarrera.info/demos/hslides/ and the other is a custom script that is used for MailChimp list signup integration. The hSlides panel can be seen in effect here: http://theatricalbellydance.com. I've turned off the MailChimp script because it was conflicting with the hSlides script, causing it not to to fail completely (as seen here http://theatricalbellydance.com/home2/). Can someone tell me what could be done to the hSlides script to stop the conflict with the MailChimp script?     I'm trying to switch from a windows environment to Linux. I'm primarily PHP developer, but I do know quite a bit about other languages such as CSS, XHTML and Javascript. I need a way of editing my files locally because I work in a git repository and need to commit my saves. On windows I used Aptana and PDT. I'd save my files, upload via Aptana, then commit my work with git. I need to get a work flow going on my Linux machine now. If you know a better way to do this let me know, however my real question is, is there a plugin that allows gedit to upload files instead of working remotely?

    Redmine has a nice batch edit feature, but nothing equivalent for "batch create" (please correct me if I'm wrong!) FogBugz lets you quickly create multiple tickets with the same properties (type, status, assignment, etc.) via a ajax-ified text box at the bottom of any filtered view of tickets. Tickets created this way match the values of the filter (and the filter grouping value - there's a text-box at the bottom of each group). Toodledo has simpler option: it's "Add multiple tasks" feature is a textarea where each line is turned into an item. Is there a redmine plugin out there that adds functionality like either of the above?

    Hello. I'm trying to roll out a little Rails plugin that is basically is just a wrapper to a 7zip archiver. Should I include the 7zip binaries for windows, mac and linux with it or explain to user that it's a dependency and they need to get it working. I know it's not that difficult to install a 7zip, but what is the best practice in general. The reason I'm asking is cause I've ran so many times into gems that need some sort of dependency that doesn't compile properly or is not available in ready form for the OS in question and then I end up spending have a day hunting down for a binary or a way to compile the program. (Have happened to me both on Mac and Windows, not on Debian so far. )

To run this application from the command line without Ant, try: java -jar "F:\MyProgramming\NorvigSpellChecker\dist\NorvigSpellChecker.jar" jar: BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 3 seconds) Of course, the libraries should be copied, so I can't actually run it by using this command line. I don't see any options to copy the library in the project configuration. The plugin uses Ant for building, but I don't have any experience with it; presumably it should be easy enough to tell Ant to copy the libraries. Here is build-impl.xml, what should I do in build.xml?

    There are several ways how to toggle hidden files in Finder - via a shell command, or AppleScript, or Automator action, or even a Dashboard widget. All of them are doing the same thing and unfortunately require to close and reopen Finder windows, which is quite annoying. On the other hand, for the Open File dialog one can easily toggle hidden files by pressing Command+Shift+Period. Is it possible to make a script or plugin for Finder to toggle hidden files w/o relaunching? How would you make it?

    What really surprises me is lack of some essential functionality in Finder, when one migrates from Windows to OS X. One of the things is a possibility to open an archive as a folder, i.e. staying in the directory tree and being able to drag and drop files from the archive to folders in the tree, sidebar etc. What would you do to enable such functionality? Update Path Finder is an awesome shareware app, which I am going to use instead of the standard Finder (as quite many Mac users do), so I am more interested in a plug-in for Path Finder to browse archives. There is a possibility to browse packages (check the View Options), so I believe it is possible to extend it to archives. There is also a SDK for making plugins for Path Finder. The only question - how to make the plugin, so all struggling people get finally happy?

    I develop websites for corporate clients, so we see the ®, ™, etc. chars a whole lot. Sometimes I paste in huge blocks of copy, which might even contain pretty quotes (“ ”) or other strange characters from word processors. So, my question is this: Does anyone know of a vim plugin or script that can, in one fell swoop, convert all these characters to html entities? I think this covers all the bases of the entities it would be nice to have: http://web.forret.com/tools/charmap.asp So, for the characters above, they would be replaced with &reg;, &trade;, &ldquo;, &rdquo;, etc. I tried the htmlspecialchars vimball (http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2377), but no dice. It only performs its replacement like the PHP htmlsepcialchars function, replacing html-conflicting characters, and doesn't cover any additional special characters.

    I've never been able to find a good script or plugin for sql server Management Studio (2005 and or 2008) for a very common scripting need: specifying a few/all rows in a table and scripting their insert. You can guess my story: I've got some configuration data in my dev db and I need to script it for deployment to UAT and then production. I've found a few cludgy systems in the past, that were more trouble than they were worth. I need something free and unobtrusive. Once I find it I'll share it with the other 20 developers in my shop who are annoyed by this. Aren't we all annoyed by this by the way? What is the best, easiest, free, way to specify a few/all rows in a table and get a script their insert?

    I work on a team where we commit our .iml files in version control so that everyone can use them. We have an .iml file for a plugin module, which includes the following: <orderEntry type="jdk" jdkName="IDEA IC-117.798" jdkType="IDEA JDK" /> however, that only works for people who are using that version (IC-117.798) of IntelliJ (some are on 12, some are using the ultimate edition, etc.) Is there any sort of variable like $INTELLIJ_SDK that could be used for the value of jdkName so that the .iml file is valid regardless of which version of IntelliJ you are using?
